Liesl had a pretty rough go of her life so far. (Chapter 2 is a great introduction to her character!) She is slow to trust but quick to help those in need. And of course, Hawk is our quintessential lawman. Dedicated to protecting but doesn't want to let anyone get to close. However, without realizing it, Hawk lets part of his walls down and Liesl starts to trust. This has the flavor and feel of a true Western - complete with hiding out from the bad guys, the jail cell, saloon, and of course the shoot out! The story was enjoyable.

I have loved this entire series, and this book was great! I'm a big fan of westerns--period. This book had a lot of lively characters. If you love strong females, this has them in abundance. Seemingly insurmountable problems are tackled in this book, with a western flair that this author is great at. Keep them coming Sarah!

I love the Savage Wells series and this was a fantastic addition! I really appreciate how Sarah Eden balanced the wildness of the western frontier with heartwarming characters and tender moments. The characters are relatable, complex, and real. Like all her other books, this one pulled me in and didn't let go!

This is set in the same universe as The Sheriffs of Savage Wells and Healing Hearts, with some cameos from familiar characters, but easily read as a stand-alone.

A fine enough read, but little to set it apart from the many novels in this genre. I didn't find Liesl and Hawk's chemistry to be that great, and there's not much flirting/humor. This can be fine, but then the characters and their relationship really have to resonate with me (ala Ashes on the Moor ), and that just wasn't the case here. One of my bigger complaints was that while it is obviously relatable and believable that Liesl would find Hawk attractive, it's almost too easy that he is (or at least is made out to be) the only available man Liesl has encountered that isn't total trash. Of course she's gonna like him!!! And though not in any way reflected in the rating, pet names like "lamb" make me barf a little bit, especially when the characters don't know each other and the guy is just being weird about it.

I would recommend Healing Hearts as a fun alternative. Side note: I have read many of Eden's books and don't intend to stop anytime soon, but I have found many of her books in the last few years to be a bit on the lower end of my enjoyment.

It was a good read! I loved that John Hawking got his happy story. It’s a cute clean western. This third book of Savage Wells but it can be read as a stand alone. I enjoyed the characters. The story moved well.
I felt that this story was very much for Liesl and John. Anything we learned about other characters supported them and helped us understand them. It all worked so well! No one was able to take away their spotlight.

A quick read, revisiting Eden’s fictional town of Savage Wells. I really liked the mystery - the who, what and why kept me guessing. Falling in love came a bit quickly, but there were likely slim pickings in the Old West, so why not?

Wyoming Wild by Sarah Eden is a good Wild West story about a daughter whose father was a dirty sheriff. Leisl tried to keep everyone in her town safe from her dangerous father and his cronies. When she hears about a planned assassination attempt of the US Marshall Hawking she knows she has to act fast and covertly so she isn’t caught because if she’s caught she will be killed.
Marshall John Hawking gets the anonymous warning and with the help of his only female deputy Marshall goes undercover to determine where the threat is coming from. Leisl falls in love with the made up character and has a hard time reconciling the farmer with the lawman. In the end the story is a good one and is a clean romance.

I absolutely love Sarah M. Eden's books., and this one does not disappoint. A great combination of romance and adventure set in the wild west. If you love wild west romance then you will love this book.

Sarah M. Eden's westerns are something special. Her Hope Springs series is one of my all time favorites, and now her Savage Wells series is climbing up there too.

Sarah has a talent at taking hard situations and making them real and believable. She does so much research and it shows in the fine details of her books. Her characters are loveable, even if they are supposed to have no heart, like Hawk is said to have in this installment.

Liesel has had many hardships in her life, most of them put on by her father. When she realizes a scheme to take down the US Marshall that patrols the territory, she knows she has to give a warning. Risking her life, she sends for help. Little does she know that the help on the way, is the one they are trying to kill.

John "Hawk" Hawking shows up in Sand Creek to uncover the plot against him, and finds his heart slowly falling for the corrupt sheriff's daughter, Liesel. His real, unhardened, heart is able to show up for her as he sees her goodness in trying to fight quietly against her father. But when she finds out who John really is, Liesel feels betrayed and isn't sure how to put her trust in him. Through it all, she decides she will have to risk some hurt to her heart in order to bring peace to Sand Creek.

This was a beautiful story. I loved being able to see Hawk realize who he can be, while being in the position he has. I loved getting watch Liesel confront the pain in her life and stand up for the right things. She has a caring heart that put her in danger many times. That says a lot about a person.

The twists and turns in this book were unexpected and stunning, making me want to read more from this beautiful Wyoming town Sarah has created.

I loved returning to the town of Savage Wells! Sarah Eden has been my favorite author for years now! Her characters are always so relatable. It's always really enjoyable to to come back to familiar stories and characters.
One of my favorite characters to get to know better was Tansy! She always told it how it was.
I will be reading more and more of Sarah's books for years to come!

This was a great story line. Liesl was a compassionate, strong, charitable character who tried really hard to soften her fathers blows to other people. She was brave in that she was willing to put herself in danger to save a whole town of people. I liked Johns character as well. He showed the strength needed to protect his territory and the gentleness needed to have a relationship.

The flow was great, the character development was a steady climb. I was hooked on finding out who the actual leader of the “charming chaps” was to the very end of the book. And I didn’t see it coming. I loved how it was an extension of Savage Wells. (A previous book) some of my favorite characters were in it. Overall it was a great read.

"Wyoming Wild" is a romance set in 1876 in Wyoming Territory. Characters from a previous novel are in this story, but you don't need to read that book to understand this one. Historical details were woven into the story, but they're mostly a Western backdrop to the action. The main characters were engaging and likable.

Liesl bravely worked behind the scenes to help protect the people of her town from her corrupt father, risking a beating or even being killed like her brother. After overcoming her distrust of lawmen (as having a corrupt sheriff for your father didn't help when the rescuing US Marshals started things off by deceiving everyone), Liesl agreed to testify against her father, help identify who was in his group of criminals, and help get proof of their wrongdoings. Hawk's known as not letting his emotions get in the way of doing his job, and he's determine to make Wyoming a safe, orderly territory. Liesl brought out his softer side, but he felt like he's got to be unfeeling and single to do his job well. As this is a romance, she obviously changes his mind with her lively banter and courage. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd highly recommend this novel.

I loved the other Savage wells stories and this one was no different. The characters are so fun! I love when a book makes me laugh out loud and I found a few of the sassy scenes did just that. I loved seeing the change in characters as they realized that another person was becoming important to them. I also think Sarah has a special ability to throw inn some suspense and mystery to these stories that keep you holding on til the end. I love this story and I'm excited to get to read it again and again!

"Wyoming Wild" by Sarah Eden was a fun 'clean' romp through the wild west. While I have read several historical novels by Sarah Eden I had never read any proper romances by her that were not set within the confining rules of regency Era England. I was not sure if I would enjoy the limitations placed on the romantic scenes in a Western if it were to remain a 'proper' one. I mean to me the dreamy part of a Western romance is the wildness of the setting and general lack of rules on the frontier. I was skeptical if this formula would work. Sarah Eden has proven that regardless of time/place she doesn't need to fall back on cheap love scenes to keep her books interesting. The plot, setting and characters in this novel were well researched and felt authentic. It was a great story. I loved it so much I am going to be spending a lot of time finding any other Westerns that Sarah Eden has written. If you love a great Western and can't resist a brave heroine and a rugged lawman then look no further. I highly recommend this novel.

I read this is one afternoon. Yes, it was that good. Sarah M Eden once again pulled me into a world and made me love all her characters. I’m a huge fan and this book is, as expected, a wonderful. It has just enough romance, just enough danger, just enough emotion…perfect!

Was this book slightly painful to read? Yes. Yes it was. Was it full of cheesy cliches? Yup. Definitely not my favorite Sarah M Eden book and I’m a big fan of hers. It was rather difficult to force myself to finish this book.
I didn’t love the inconsistent improper language. It seemed like the characters would just out of the blue use improper English and it just didn’t flow. I also don’t appreciate when things are overly explained when it’s self explanatory.
These are my personal opinions though, so while it wasn’t my cup of tea, it very well could be yours ;)

This was a new author and a new era of period romance for me. There are a few things that struck me as odd - the usage of specific language stuck out to me. I shrugged it off because it’s not my typical era of reading. I didn’t feel like it was too distracting. I did enjoy it, and felt that it was a good departure from my normal regency and Victorian era books.

However, I should note that this is a “sweet, clean” romance. It felt every bit of that description. A good recommendation for someone who enjoys that kind of book!

This was such a great read! It had some great examples of strong female leads. The plot had plenty of unpredictable moments and the ending was very satisfying.
This is part of a series but could be read as a stand-alone without missing much. However, it was fun to see characters from previous books and find out how they are doing.
This book was obviously well researched (everything Sarah M. Eden writes is well researched).

I have enjoyed all of the Savage Wells stories but Hawk's story is hands down my favorite! There is so much to love about this story but I don't want to spoil the adventure for you. Just know that you won't be sad that you picked this one up! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
