This book was so charming! I enjoyed the banter between the main characters. Their love story was so sweet and swoony. It had me laughing at times and close to tears as well. Paris was the perfect location, it really set the romantic tones of the book. Loved it!

I was really excited to dive into this book, the main character suffers from endometriosis just like my Mom, so I really appreciated the representation it’s definitely an eye-opener how hard it is.
I enjoyed the book but it was really hard for me to get into the story it was so slow, I literally wanted to DNF it, I needed 24% to start enjoying the book.
The writing style felt messy, sometimes it was hard to follow what’s actually happening behind all the little unnecessary details. I haven’t really liked the main character Evie that much especially in the beginning and the way she treated Liam.
Overall I’m glad I’ve read this book and enjoyed my time with it after I got into the story.

Thank you to @netgalley for providing me an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I'm not going to lie the whole heroine with endometrioses as that's something you don't see in books let alone romance novels. I loved that aspect of the story and how the heroine dealt with her condition. However I could not stand the heroine herself. As she came across too whinny for my tastes.

This was a fun, fluffy and sweet romance book to read.
I loved the endemetriosis rep!!!! We definitely need more of it in all genres in books but especially in romance books, as it's the easier to connect to. Anyways, back to the book and the great representation.
Starting from the cover to the last page, this book is just adorable. Well-written, fluffy, good rep for female reproducttive health issues, the plot and the character development poured naturally and I loved the romance, of course!
It's a perfect romance light read and I definitely recommend it if you're in the need for a heartwarming story with good banter, good rep and pure adorable romance.

5 STARS!!! ⭐️

i’m so mad at myself for not reading this sooner. HONESTLY. WHAT WAS I DOING. I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THIS SOONER!!!!

i absolutely adored this book. it made me feel ALL the feels. it made me happy and giddy and fluffy, it made me laugh and feel good, it made me swoon and kick my feet in the air, it had me running laps around my room, IT EVEN MADE ME CRY.

literally, this book is absolute perfection. while endo is very much a main focus of the book (as it should be), it’s also so much more than that. this is such a heartfelt, honest, addictive book that is simply so gorgeous i’m gonna need everyone to go read it right now. i adore evie with my entire heart and soul and will protect her with my life.

This book has accurate representation of endo & plus size experiences. I loved the setting & the characters.
The pace was a bit slow at times but overall an excellent romcom.

Man oh man did I love this book!!! I was lucky enough to get this book as an arc and absolutely devoured it. I love a novel that deals with real issues and shows REAL sex. The endometriosis was done so well and I was blown away with the strength of the female lead. The main male lead Liam was so cute and supportive that it was hard to not fall head over heels for him. As a debut author I was so amazed at the flow and pace of the novel!!! Defiantly would recommend.

I’ll admit that I first requested this book for the title and the cover and not reading the blurb of the book. But I was thoroughly shocked with how much I enjoyed this book! It was super cute and sweet and a great easy read.

Very good book - I first wanted to read this one because of the cover (I'm a sucker for pink, I'll admit it), but man this book really surpassed my expectations. I especially related to the main character and her health struggles.

Recently the kind of romance pairings that have found their way into my reading list have women who make decisions too harshly and too early and stick with them, even with no reason to do so. That does not mean this woman is being gaslit or anything of that sort. She has a strong life while just missing that tiny extra spark in her life. This spark is something they squashed early on without actually confirming if the boy (now man) on the other side actually meant to wrong her in the first place.
I never thought I would appreciate this twist in my reading because I usually read a lot of books with happily-ever-afters, and I usually champion the woman and her decisions for almost the entirety. Here I think a healthy dose of actual conversation is what straightens things out.
Evie is currently in Paris and leading a monotonous life. Her best friend from home has just arrived in town, and when she goes to meet him, it turns out that he has brought a plus one as a surprise. Evie has hated Liam for longer than she can remember. It has been so long that she does not dwell on her reasons for the hate in the first place.
Her brother is getting married, and being Liam's best friend, he wants a semblance of peace during the event. This and some other hints from her mother lead her down the fake dating line. I am not sure if it works in real life, but it is one of my favourite tropes in such books.
Once the channel of communication opens, Evie finally starts to question what actually happened all those years ago.
Evie is an entertaining character who was very easy to champion and cheer on.
I found the writing to be fun and the entire cast of characters felt like I already knew their dynamics, and we do get to see a few other stories play out as well. I would recommend this author and the book to readers of this genre.
I received this book as an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

I really loved this book and connected so much to the main character. I have read the criticisms and yes Evie is mean to Liam sometimes and yes Liam is basically the perfect man, but if you understand where she is coming from and her background, her behavior makes sense. As someone with a chronic illness, I completely understand the mentality and the reasons for her thoughts, feelings and actions. It was a good portrayal of the complex feelings of someone whose body doesnt match their brain and cannot make them both align to her wishes. It was well done and the story was totally swoonworthy.

Friends to enemies to friends to lovers??? YES PLEASE. I really enjoyed this book a lot. I normally enjoy more spice than this book has, but this book was sweet in all the RIGHT ways. Very glad I read this one.

A quick read and interesting read. I would have liked to see more chemistry between the two characters. The live just seemed forced.

I wish I could say I loved this. This book had everything I could want in a romance novel, but despite how appealing it sounded, it didn’t manage to pull me in. Some might fancy this novel; however I was not one of them.

Not my cup of tea. I just couldn’t seem to get into it enough to love it. The cover is so stinking cute though!

This book was a solid 3 star read. The setting was wonderful and the writing was great, plus size representation, 2nd chance romance (even if the first chance is at 5 year old)

Chronic illness representation was amazing and i am here for it. However, while I appreciated the author did not shy away from what it’s like to live with endometriosis and how that can affect one’s feelings of self worth and adequacy in a sexually-active relationship, the gene Kelly references were lost on me, Liam called Evie peaches about 1000 times too many. Once the "fake" dating turned into real there wasn't much to the story.....

I will definitely check out Torie Jean's subsequent books though!

I tried and tried and tried but I am DNF-ing at 31%.

I really wanted to love this book. The title and cover were just so cute but I couldn’t put myself through it anymore.

Evie and Liam are just not likable or redeemable. Their relationship seems super toxic and I really can’t see how their going to work out their issues with a little more than 50% of the book left.

2 stars. The cover is cute and the portrayal of endometriosis is realistic. Major kudos to the author for not glossing over it when it would be convenient for the plot line.

I really, really wanted to enjoy this book.

However, I struggled to connect with the writing. I loved the idea of the story and the nuanced and complex characters, but the writing style was not for me.

2/5 stars

Thank you NetGalley for the arc.

Evie and Liam were neighbours and childhood friends. Evie always had a crush on Liam but every time it seemed like he may feel the same way, miscommunication would occur. Years later, Evie’s brother is getting married and Evie needs a fake boyfriend to impress her mother. Enter Liam, who travelled all the way to Paris to ask Evie to be his date to the wedding. It was so clear that Liam was head over heels for Evie from the start and I loved seeing their relationship develop and grow. Did I mention that the hero is an absolute cinnamon roll who blushes constantly and recreated the heroines favourite movie scene?
The first thing that told me this was a great book was the trigger warning the author put at the beginning. It sounded like an honestly concerned best friend taking care of you, and I appreciate that. Not many authors have the kindness to look for the mental health of readers.
I cannot be thankful enough for the endo and the plus size representation too. It was an accurate example of the struggles and the reality of endo and other chronic illnesses in everyday life, how difficult is to survive day after day, and both the bs other ignorant people spill and the true love other people will give you regardless of your health condition.
You can't fight diet culture while normalizing it at the same time, it's a double standard. It doesn't matter if it's a woman, a man or another non-binary person, diet culture shouldn't be promoted in any case.
Evie has a very toxic and manipulative mother. I actually found their relationship interesting and relatable right up until the end. When Catherine (the mom) finally explains to Evie why she acts like she does, the explanation is just way too easy. It was just too thin of a reason for someone to be so nasty to their own daughter.
