Funny and charming at times, I definitely found myself laughing out loud as I read! I felt the book lacked a level of depth I was craving, but overall it was an enjoyable read

* Received an ARC for review.
This book is forced proximity on crack. Not only are the protagonists stuck in a house together, but their whole families are. Their moms have really old beef and now “vacation” is hostile.
Ryan & Evita were absolutely adorable. I loved the way they navigate the tension and reconnect.
I do have to say that it reads more like a women’s fiction novel. Heavy on the romance. The family relationships are more front and center.
I enjoyed the story but it is more sweet romance. No steam.

loved this romance where families end up in the same house and try to figure things out and the romance between the couple. glad that the parents were able to solve their own issues.

Such a cute and easy read if you're looking for a story with great and realistic characters. I loved the families in this story :-) Definitely recommend!

This was a really fun story! The set-up was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the bickering and rivalry between the two families. I really liked how the two MCs were attracted to each other instantly, which was a nice contrast to the family rivalry.

You are forbidden from dating (insert the name of your crush here). That's a phrase many of us have heard in our young years of dating. For Evita and Ryan, their parents forbade them to date for as long as they live. I don't know how they obeyed for so long because once you meet these sweet and charming characters you want them to take their friendship to the next level. Right Girl, Wrong Side is a vibrant romance about falling in love, making your own decisions, and living life with your dysfunctional family.

Evita and Ryan had a crush on each other since high school. Evita is now a flower shop manager and Ryan is a history professor. They haven't seen each other in ages, but it feels like they fall into step when their Nantucket rental house is double-booked. Evita and Ryan are so happy to see each other, but their moms do not share the same sentiment. Their moms have never gotten along and in turn, do not want them to spend any time together. That's getting harder to accomplish because Evita and Ryan have amazing chemistry. They are so comfortable with one another and it's easy for them to speak their minds. Both make each other laugh, are there for each other when they need a shoulder to cry on or a pick me up. Once you meet them, you will probably wonder why they aren't a couple already.

I think we have all felt pressure from family and are influenced by them even when we don't want to admit it. And that is the case with Evita and Ryan. But they are finally willing to put in some extra effort to see if their families can get along during this trip. Because if they can maybe they can handle it if they decide to date and make things official.

I love a multicultural romance and Ginny Baird knocked it out of the park. The families are really just one big side character in this romance. I laughed and smiled so much while I was reading. A beautiful story with a gorgeous setting. I would definitely suggest this as a beach read!

I have to admit that I think the author Ginny Baird has outdone herself with this story. Once I started I just could not put it down.

Evita and her family go on a family vacation to Nantucket to find out that Ryan and his family have already arrived at the same house. They were not supposed to be there. Both families have had a rivalry since the Mom's were in High School.

This book has a great cast of characters, an awesome story line and you feel like you are in the beach house. Very well written and I think you will enjoy it too. It will make you laugh in parts.

A wonderful story of love, family,
forgiveness & a second chance at love. I was engaged by the book from the start.
It's an emotional & funny story about two families on vacation.
Unfortunately, the mothers have
been feuding since high school.
Close proximity does not help.
Evita & Ryan have liked
each other since high school.
But their mothers always stood
in the way. Now they're adults.
Can they finally give into their feelings?
A Must Read!

I love books that give Romeo and Juliet vibes. This was no exception.. I thought the two main characters work so well together. This book was funny, sweet, and charming all in one. I’d highly recommend this, and not just because it publishes on my birthday!

Evita and Ryan may have had crushes on each other in high school, but they knew nothing would ever come of it because of their families’ mutual hatred. Now, years later, both families are vacationing together because of a mix up. This might just be what Evita and Ryan need to reconnect.

This was a cute romcom! Both families were hilarious as their feud played out. I really liked how different the families were but even with that, them coming together was so natural. Evita and Ryan are adorable together. This was a bit of a slow burn though with no real intimate scenes beyond kissing. I also wanted to see more connection and passion between them.

All and all this was a cute book that really looked at family dynamic’s and expectations.

Thank you to the publisher and author for the ARC. This was an honest review.

I thought this was a cute read.
It kept me entertained all the way through and I was able to finish it in a day or two.
I very much enjoyed the characters' banter from time to time and the plot was interesting.
This story kind of reminds me of the Hatfield and Mccoy feud. In some ways I did get tired of the repetitiveness but other than that I did enjoy most places of the book.
These kids also reminds me of my father in law trying to keep the peace in our family lots of times. He was pretty good at it too.
In many ways I felt sorry for them being caught in the middle.
I loved the setting of this story. I always enjoy coming "back" to Nantucket. It's my favorite thing about this book is the scenery. Makes you feel like you're there along with the characters.
Makes me want to go in person someday but for now I'm traveling there in the books I read.
I'm giving this one 4 stars because of the repetitiveness in the book.
I still recommend it however.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

While I didn't enjoy this one. As I tend to not like books that involve rival families. But I did enjoy the banter between the hero and the heroine.

This is a modern day Romeo and Juliet story with a happier ending. Evita Machado and Ryan Hatfield knew each other in high school and had crushes on each other but because their mothers had a feud between them, they were forbidden to date. Now years later, their mothers have won a week at the beach but there was a misunderstanding about who actually won. So Evita and Ryan come up with the idea to share the home and beach area. Ryan and Evita still have chemistry together and want to date but their parents are still against it even though they are adults. They try different things to get their families together. Will it work? Will they go against their families? I thought this was a great story and really enjoyed the outgoing Machado family compared to the uptight Hatfield family. I received and early copy of the book through Netgalley. I'm leaving my honest review.

This book in 3 words: Chaotic. Funny. Sweet.

A modern tale of 2 rival families who accidentally end up at the same vacation home in Nantucket. Evita and Ryan, former lab partners, must navigate the feuding families in the same home, with history dating all back to their mom's high school days/relationships.

Overall, this was a sweet story. It's easy to read and you're rooting for the main characters.

Here's what I liked:
- The plot has unique points
- Comparison of 2 families
- Main characters
- Evita's strength when she decides not to wallow over her breakup
- Strong sibling relationships

Here's what I didn't like:
- Some of the dialogue was repetitive and a bit annoying
- Parts of the plot dragged on, with the same sort of things happening
- Conflict resolution is a bit murky and not as clear as I'd hoped.

In this lively story spread across a life-changing family vacation, we meet the Machados and Hatfields. The families share a complicated history which dates back to a fairly random high school rivalry between the matriarchs of each family.

What ensues is a fun, somewhat stressful read about change and moving forward with life and the choices each person has to make.

The only down side of the story is the main animosity between the protagonists' mothers. Their relationship is incredibly immature. And the way they try to control their fully grown children is both insane and hilarious. Why are these 28-year-olds so scared of what their parents might say to them?

We also don't get to see exactly how the mothers' war is resolved, which was disappointing after all the buildup.

The pace of the story is great, but some pieces feel like they're missing and I felt a bit lost - had I missed something or forgotten a fact from early in the book? I wasn't sure why this happened but it did slightly detract from the overall read.

All in all, a fun read for a day when you want a mix of all the emotions on the spectrum.

I'm thankful to the publishers for providing me an advance copy of this book and early access to this story for my honest review.

Family dynamics can cause stress or happiness. In this cute story, two families must learn how to either forgive and move on or stay caught in the mistakes and misunderstandings of the past. I enjoyed reading this one. I received a complimentary copy of the book. No review was required.

I forced myself to finish this, but it didn’t work for me and annoyed me more than anything. While it had its charm and a nice premise, the characters behaved like they were 14 instead of 28 years old. They felt dull and flawless and conflictless, with not a lot of goals other than to pass this week. And the spark? After 10 years, I didn’t feel it, either.

Thanks so much to NetGalley, Ginny Baird and SOURCE BOOKS Casablanca for the eARC, all opinions expressed are my own.

Evita and Ryan are former classmates who previously shared a crush as well as overbearing mothers whose rivalry stems from their high school days. After both families are forced to vacation together in the same spot, Ryan and Evita grow closer whilst their mother’s work hard to keep them apart.

I loved how this story unravelled, the way Evita and Ryan fell back into old habits and the way Baird showed the contrasting nature of both families. Evita’s family are loud, bubbly, over the top but vibrant Puerto Rican family whilst Ryan’s is much smaller and reserved. I especially loved the way the author placed focus on the impact of parental pressures and how that negatively translated to the current generation. I enjoyed seeing the way both of characters schemed to get their families on the same page and especially loved how their love story developed.

It was such a sweet read and I highly recommend!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

I found this book super cute, I love the cover! Literally obsessed. I found this book slightly predictable however, I did enjoy the forbidden love trope. It was a quick and easy read. I would definitely recommend!

This book was very very predictable, but sometimes a cute rom com is needed. I really enjoyed it and the build up on the tension and resolution and the ending left no questions. Loved it
