This masterpiece is a MUST-READ thriller, especially for those who like action-packed, fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat kinda mysteries. This was one heck of a roller-coaster ride. I was hooked on to the story and couldn't put it down until the end. The locals are a nasty bunch - not all though. Marley, the owner of the pub where Mason temporarily resides, is one of them good guys.

Mason makes a shocking discovery within days of finding Daniel's body. But he doesn't make the connection until the end - there's more to story than just an unruly crowd looking for revenge. I cannot say more about the mystery without giving away spoilers. There's one thing though - expect the unexpected.

Many reviewers have mentioned this book has Jack Reacher vibes. I totally agree. In fact, Mason Sharpe is better than Reacher. (Sorry Reacher but you have had your share of spotlight and now it's time for the other guy to shine.)

Excellent storytelling and character development. Though a first in the series, equal importance is given to series-plot setting, character introduction and mystery. I truly hope this series gets picked up for a TV series/ Movie adaptation.

If you are looking for a completely gripping and engrossing page turner, you might want to give Point Blank by Logan Ryles a try.

I greatly enjoyed reading this action packed story. There were some shared characteristics to another ex-military character that I enjoy reading, but these were just similarities since I had no confusion. Mason Sharpe was definitely his own character. Interesting story line that had me guessing until the end. I’m adding this author to my auto click list!

The characters are just so well written and realistic, the tension is built so effectively and you really do have no idea where the storyline is going or what the outcome is going to be! It has the twist, turns and surprises that you'd expect and the plot is constantly moving forward which I loved!

My first read by this author and a new series (hopefully) for the Mason Sharpe character, the action starts early and continues at pace, it’s a favourite genre for me but is fresh and different. Absorbing plot line and characters, enjoyed this so much currently reading the Reed Montgomery books by the same author.

Today, is my spot on ZooloosBookTours blog tour for Point Blank by Logan Ryles. I read this thriller as an ebook for this tour and I’m so glad that I took part on this blog tour as I really loved reading this detective/crime novel. What a thrilling and exciting novel this was. It gripped my attention and interest right from the start. I, for once, didn’t want to rush reading instead I took my time with this great read.
I loved the author’s writing style, the numerous plot twists in this thriller, character development and the detective element of this novel. This novel was suspenseful, interesting and intelligently written. A rare novel where I knew right from the start that I would be giving it 5 stars, 6 if I could. This is the first thriller which I’ve read by this author, and I was thrilled to discover an author whose writing style I like. I’m hoping to read more novels by the author in the future.
What a riveting read this novel was, and I throughly recommend it to other readers. It was very easy to give this exciting read 5 stars.

Mason Sharpe is the new Jack Reacher!

I have read all the Lee Child books so this was right up my street really enjoyed it and cant wait for the next book.

After the shooting of his fiancé Mia, full of suppressed grief and anger Mason goes to the town in north Carolina where he does not receive a warm welcome from the locals after involving himself in an investigation when a body washes up on shore.
Been a detective for Chicago PD and ex army ranger he cant let this go the more he digs the more he starts to piece it all together the closer he gets to the truth and the more trouble he gets into, he would definitely give Jack Reacher a run for his money with his love of brawling and diners and the odd hitch hiking.
I found Mason Sharpe to be a very likable character you cant help but feel for the guy I would definitely recommend this book the author has done a great job bringing this character to life, I couldn't put the book down and when I did I couldn't wait to pick it back up to find out what Mason will uncover next.
Thank you to the Publisher for giving me an electronic version to read and review and to the author Logan well done great read.

I started this book in the afternoon and finished it in one sitting. Masson a detective with the Phoenix Police Department responds to a shooting at his finances school let's say it does not end well and he ends up where they were going to be spending their honeymoon. Once there he starts to find things that just don’t have any answers for. It all starts with Masson finding a body washing ashore while he is sitting on the beach. There are many twists and turns to this story that keeps you hooked to the pages. All of the different characters just add to the story and also keep the story going as well. I enjoyed the story and all of the characters. Very much worth the read.

Excellent start to what could be a great series. When a cop’s wife is killed in a school shooting, he feels he has nothing to live for. His suicide plan is short-circuited by a body he finds on the beach, and the action begins. Corrupt cops, redneck enforcers, New York crooks, incompetent FBI, and more populate a good action thriller as the cop discovers that maybe he’s not cut out to be a cop.

Mason Is A Nice Guy, But Don’t Push Him

Mason Sharpe is devastated after watching his soon-to-be bride murdered by a crazed gunman. He feels there is nothing left to live for, and he heads to Saint Ellen Island, the small North Carolina town that was to be his honeymoon destination. Finding a man’s body washed up on the beach changes everything. His detective instincts kick in when the man’s death is immediately dismissed as a drowning and Mason is urged to leave town. The sheriff insists on keeping his .357 magnum S&W handgun, though, and Mason is not leaving town without it.

I loved everything about this book. Mason is a complex character, at once intelligent, humble, compassionate, cocky, and inquisitive. He wants answers, truthful answers, and he’ll do whatever he has to do to get them. He is just the kind of protagonist that makes a story enjoyable and keeps me turning the pages to see what he does next. I’m looking forward to reading more Mason Sharpe adventures.
