This was an enjoyable thriller but fine me it didn’t really come into its own until near the end and that changed my perception of the whole book. In terms of characters I was interested to discover why Beth was hiding her past from her family and she clearly had some issues but I didn’t massively take to her, Kat was much more interesting, complex and not designed to be likeable but intriguing. It was good to add some other voices to this too as they added some interesting dimensions. Overall this seems like a fairly average thriller until the end which definitely had me rethinking everything.

Wow! My first book by Sarah Clarke but definitely not my last. Can’t wait to read more. I really enjoyed everything about this book. The chapters were divided between dual timelines and different characters. And speaking of characters, they were all amazing! So many secrets, so much tension and some really great reveals.
Highly recommend

Awesome.
Beth has the perfect life. She has constructed it carefully over the last eighteen years. But one night she makes a choice that risks everything. When Kat sees an article about that night online, buried memories begin to surface. She and Beth were friends once. Things ended badly then, but now she has a chance to make things right. Kat introduces herself to Beth. Not as her old friend, but as a stranger. Beth has no idea Kat isn’t who she says she is. But then neither is Beth.
Loved it very much. I think it's a must read for everyone.
Thanks to NetGalley and HQ for giving me an advance copy.
