The second in a series that is an opposites attract story. One has to overcome the way that everyone thinks of her as a couples counselor that had a very public breakup, and the other is trying to prove himself and needs a little help in the problem-solving department. As they work together both their professional and personal lives benefit. An easy and enjoyable read,

I loved this book about Juliet and the small town she lives in. Its cute and cozy with everyone knowing you forever, but what does that mean when you want to be their therapist? A fun story which introduced me to the series, and now I need to read all the rest! Can't wait...

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

uliet Montgomery is a couple's counselor who had a very public breakup and now her boss asks her to take some time off. She is the sweetheart of Blossom Glen, Indiana and everyone loves her, but this is something she doesn't know how to get beyond. The town’s good-lookin’ and gruff mayor, Jack Monroe loves being the mayor but doesn't enjoy working with people to solve their problems. When Juliet attends one of the mayor's mediation sessions, she gives advice that works and he offers her a job. She will be the town therapist, although that is not what the job is actually called. Juliet and Jack are opposites, but do opposites actually attract? As they become interested in each other romantically, can they lower the walls and let someone in?

This is the second book in the Blossom Glen series and I enjoyed it as much as the first. The first book is the story of Juliet's sister finding love, now it is her turn. Juliet is a great character. She is caring, full of life and smart. she didn't let her problems get her down, she worked with the mayor to solve problems and listening to others gives her the ability to do that. As the story progresses, she has her own personal growth, and makes plans to make a better life for herself. I loved the way her family and friends supported her as well. Jack is a man with some baggage and when he shares his past, he begins to heal. His grandmother is a hoot and was a great lady, who was ready to move on in the town's best interest. There is an issue about land developing and the environment as well as corporate greed, that gave the book a bit of a heavier issue that I liked. The interactions between the townspeople in Blossom Glen, a place everyone knows each other's business, adds some humor to the story and allows the reader to get to know some of the quirky and eccentric characters better. This is story of new beginnings, second chances, community, the environment, friendship, family and more. I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to my next visit to Blossom Glen to see the final sister get her happily ever after.

I love a small town romance with likeable characters. I was surprised at just how much I did end up enjoying this, due to there being so many romance books out there. I was afraid it would be just your typical love story with a happy ending, but this was so much more. There was character development and an actual plot that I loved. I’d recommend this to anyone that likes a good romance.

Miranda Liasson’s books are wonderful and I was thrilled to have an opportunity to get a sneak preview of one of her latest reads.

While I will not have the opportunity to share an in-depth review, I know many out there will enjoy her story!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for an ARC in exchange for my opinion.

I'm very torn on this book, because I enjoyed most of it, but there were also certain parts that just didn't work for me and those ended up overshadowing the things I did like about it.

This book is full of small-town drama and I loved that part because of how realistic it was with all the little things that were going on. But when it came to the romance between Juliet and the mayor it felt a little rushed to me because of everything else that was going on around them. See Juliet and the mayor ended up working together to help try and stop a big developer from coming into town, while also settling some of the squabbles between town residents that were getting far too big. While they did a great job at this and worked together well when it came to them being together so quickly it didn't work for me. See Juliet was supposed to be focusing on getting her career back as a couples counselor after several failed engagements, and well the Mayor is anti-relationship and is all focused on his job and saving his grandma's land. So instead of these two continuing to focus on those things and work them out, they decided to jump into a relationship, and because of that, it didn't work for me. This didn't work for me because of the third-act breakup that happened and just how much it showed that both of them weren't ready for a relationship in my opinion. They should have waited until they had things right in their jobs and gotten to know each other better before jumping into a relationship that the entire town was watching.

I did like the setting of this book, how close Juliet and the mayor were to their families, and how big of a role those families played in this story. I also enjoyed the fact that these are all companion novels in the series so I didn't feel like I was missing much from not having read the first one yet.

This book will be perfect for people who want a fall-time book setting, with lots of small-town drama, and a rushed relationship.

What are two public servants to do when one had a public breakup and the other is a bit surly when it comes to Romance? Why come up with way to get their public off their backs. Juliet and Jack was a great read from start to finish!

This was a feel-good, small town romance with all the Fall vibes and a great cast of secondary characters. I really enjoyed that the FMC was a therapist and that she was open about the deep depression losing her father put her in. The mental health rep was excellent in this book and I enjoyed that the plot revolved around a Mayor hiring a therapist to help the town function better. Cute and good on audio - perfect for all the Hallmark Movie lovers out there. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

DNF @ 41%.

I found this heroine to be unlikable, which is not a deal breaker for me. But the rest of the story has to make up for that, and it just didn't here. I am not sure what's happened with Miranda Liasson's MFCs and me, but I have not enjoyed the last few. Which is incredibly disappointing, because she has written some of my favorite romances of the last few years. For now, I will give her books a pass.

Juliet is a couples counselor who can't seem to get her own love life together. Now it seems like her job is in jeopardy and seems to need to work on her own self-image. Jack Monroe is the town's buff around the edges mayor who is looking for help that may be Juliet can offer. Since she's good at working with others getting people together maybe she can help work on the local problems as the town's counselor. But they never expected was running into each other more often will cause a little spark between them.

If you like small town drama you'll enjoy this book. It is clear that Juliet is having a hard time getting away from her old childhood self and is having a bit of issues trying to figure out her love life now that it seems to be impacting her job. I enjoyed Juliets little antics throughout the book so she did try to do best for those that are around her. Then there's Jack the mayor was trying to do everything again to save his family's home, as well as being a good mayor in general helping those who needs problem solving so getting Juliets help was a win for him. I enjoyed seeing the sparks fly between Juliet and Jacks. Nothing about the relationship both rushed or anything like it. I enjoyed seeing the little moments that ended up bringing them together. But then again there are issues when it comes to his past and her past relationships this would make things like the future for their relationship a problem and it was interesting how everything was resolving in the end. Overall I really enjoyed this book.

The Sweetheart Fix is the second book in the Blossom Glen series, as well as the second book that I have read and reviewed in the series. Not only did I really enjoy reading this book, but I also found it easy to pick back up after a long break (not a reflection on the book, just my available reading time). I was drawn right back into the setting and the relationships. Juliet was a great MC and definitely dealt with the ups and downs of living in a small town. I loved the thrown together nature of her relationship with Jack and all of their back and forths. You can't go wrong with a well written opposites attract romance. The Sweetheart Fix is a good pick for romance readers.

Rating: 4.5 Stars

The Sweetheart Fix is an enchanting and enjoyable contemporary romance from Miranda Liasson that will melt every reader’s heart.

Couples counselor Juliet Montgomery has worked hard for her career – which is why it is so frustrating and infuriating that nobody in her hometown of Blossom Glen takes her seriously as a therapist. Nobody in this idyllic small town in Indiana has forgotten the fact that Juliet had been engaged two and a half times and it seems her own checkered romantic history is proving quite a big stumbling block with the local community who do not think she has any credibility in giving other people advice about their relationships. Finding herself forced to take a break by her boss is the cherry on the cake – until she gets an offer she cannot refuse from a most unlikely quarter: handsome mayor Jack Monroe.

Romance couldn’t be further from Jack’s mind. His last relationship had come to an acrimonious end and being mayor of Blossom Glen is certainly keeping him busy – not to mention the fact that he needs to find a way to save his grandmother’s land from unscrupulous land developers. Finding himself trying to keep the peace between squabbling neighbors, Jack needs a calming influence during the regular town forums and it seems that Juliet has the Midas touch. It’s just a shame that the two of them cannot be in the same room for more than five minutes before they start getting each others’ backs up!

The chemistry between them is certainly explosive and when their verbal sparring leads to an attraction that simply cannot be denied, Jack and Juliet realize that they might be falling for one another. But having had their hearts broken once before, are they ready to take a chance on love? Or will their fears and insecurities end up costing them this unexpected chance at happiness?

Miranda Liasson’s The Sweetheart Fix is a magical small-town romance that effortlessly tickles the funny bone and tugs at the heartstrings. Witty, emotional, dramatic and a delight from start to finish, The Sweetheart Fix will make readers fall in love with intelligent, kind-hearted and feisty Juliet, swoon over gorgeous Jack and have them wishing that Blossom Glen was a real place they could move to.

A stellar contemporary romance that ticks all the right boxes, Miranda Liasson’s The Sweetheart Fix is a must for Virgin River and Gilmore Girls aficionados everywhere.

This is a sweet, small-town romance where everyone in town knows everything about you and will never let you forget it.

Juliet had climbed the water tower when she was 3 years old. She had a mental breakdown when her father died and then had 2.5 failed engagements. She had issues with expressing her feelings and she was ordered to take a break from her new job as a marriage and family therapist to get her life in order. The last thing she needed in her life was another man. So, when the young mayor, Jack, swaggered into her life, she was determined to keep him at arm's length.

Jack didn't do relationships. He loved only one person and that was his elderly grandmother and he needed to do everything in his power to protect her and her land from an auction that would take away all she had. That's why he had run for mayor of Blossom Glen, Indiana. When the beautiful red-headed therapist stepped into his path and smoothed the ruffled feathers of some of her town's citizens and drew Jack in, he knew he was in trouble.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and Jack and Juliet's relationship progression. There were some wonderful secondary characters included in the story that brought home the small-town feel.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

Hello

Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title.

While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.

I look forward to continuing to work with you in 2023 and beyond.

When I pick up a book by Miranda Liasson, I always feel like I'm about to make new friends, in a place I'd be happy to visit. Her fictional communities are warm and welcoming but also realistic. I grew up in a small town. There are pros and cons to everyone knowing your business and Liasson explores both. But it's her characters that shine. Whether it's the lead couple, their friends and families, two neighbors feuding over a tree on their property line, or a lonely old man who has forgotten what it feels like to be a part of the community, Liasson give each of them the care and attention they deserve. And, in doing so, she makes me care about all of them.

I wouldn't call Jack and Juliet enemies but they certainly start out as adversaries. I love how they challenge each other. The banter between them is terrific. Each of them has reasons for being wary of relationships but that doesn't stop the attraction between them from growing, especially as they spend time together at City Hall and start peeling back those layers that hide the hurts and vulnerabilities acquired over the years. I enjoy how their friendship evolves and solidifies before they take that next step into romantic feelings, though the zing of attraction is there from the start. I also appreciate that the author takes her time with them, leading them to fully confront the emotional baggage they carry before allowing them to claim their happy ending. They're so good together. I laughed, cried, and sighed with happiness with them every step of the way.

It was fun to see all the characters from book one again in this book as well as meet a few new ones. There are no secrets in Blossom Glen as Jack and Juliet are quick to discover. Everyone has a stake in their relationship and isn't above offering advice...in the most loving and helpful way, of course. I enjoyed watching Leo and Tessa (The Sweetheart Deal) preparing for parenthood, as well as catching up with other members of their families. And I am already eager to discover what the future will hold for youngest sister, Viv. Will she head overseas again or will love, family, and a new purpose in life hold her closer to Blossom Glen? Only time will tell.

If you enjoy small-town romance with fully-developed, relatable characters, low steam but deep passion, humor, and heartwarming happy endings, give The Sweetheart Fix (and book one, The Sweetheart Deal) a try. They both have my enthusiastic recommendation.

Being a mayor doesn’t come easy for Jack. When Juliet assisted him in solving the grievances of the people, Jack offer her a job to be his assistant. Thrown together, Juliet find Jack to be a grumpy person. Jack struggle to help his grandma to protect her property for being develop. Both of them soon found out what started off sparring with each other on the job, they can worked well together on and off the job.

This book is a small town romance about family relationship. and 2nd chance in love. Juliet is a great character who struggle with her past but as the progress, I love the way she faces the problem and trying to fix it and the chemistry between them. The storyline was easy to follow and with minimal conflict between the main characters. Overall it is a fun read to me.

The Sweetheart Fix by Miranda Liasson is a sweet romance in the author’s small town Blossom Glen series. I have really enjoyed the author’s previous books in this series and I looked forward to this book as a result. This book provided a bit of an update on characters from previous books. This novel has all the sweet elements I enjoyed in the previous book. I really loved the characters in this book and their unusual romantic start. Great book overall. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
