Jack & Juliet

This is the second book in the Sweetheart series, but it can easily be read as a stand alone too. In this book we meet the second Montgomery sister Juliet. Juliet is a fiery and passionate woman just about to achieve her dream of becoming a therapist, when a big curveball is thrown her way. Right after that happens an opportunity arises to work with her nemesis Jack the town’s mayor. Jack is a rigid cowboy who believes more in action thank talk. Jack became mayor only to try to help his Grandmother save her land, and his time to do so is quickly running out. In a desperate attempt to help, he hires Juliet as the town therapist of sorts. As Jack and Juliet work together to help the town, sparks fly, but both of them have a lot in their past holding them back. This book had great characters, a beautiful setting, and an interesting plot. One of those stories that makes you wish the people and places were real so you could go and visit. Hoping there is a book for the third Montgomery sister coming soon! I received an ARC of this story, and this is my honest review.

Miranda Liasson is one of my go to authors for a happy, light, fun and feel good book. The newest book from the Sweetheart series did not disappoint. It was a easy story that flowed well with no real slow parts and was very nice to revisit some of the characters from the previous Sweetheart book. In this story you follow Juliet and Jack as they banter, get along and fall in love. Living in a small town in Indiana Juliet is the home town sweetheart home from Grad school to start her career as a couples counselor. Jack a Texas transplant as a young teen, the current mayor and he had a tough childhood being raised by his grandmother. Juliet has trouble establishing her career as in a small town everyone know your business including your past breakups. Jack hires Juliet to help with community disputes like a town counselor and to bolster his reputation in the community to help get the community on his side as his beloved grandmother is about to lose her land. As they help each other they become closer and fall in love. This is a sweet story of the characters learning to overcome their past and move on together in their future in the sweet family like small town. An all around feel good book small town, old friends and new loves. Miranda Liasson did it again and I can’t wait till the next Sweetheart book.

So thrilled to be chosen by the publisher to get my hands on the ARC for both of the books in this series. Miranda is such a fabulous writer that you are so immediately drawn into Blossom Glen and the characters. I'm so pleased with how Juliet's story turned out and can't wait to see what Viv's story holds!

I LOVED this story! It takes a bit to get to the love part but you don’t have 55 characters to navigate and stays on the main storyline. It’s a cute story with fairly-clean romantic side. You will love this if you like details and building romance.

The Sweetheart Fix is the next stand alone instalment set in in the wonderful small town of Blossom Glen Indiana. This story features Juliet, younger sister to Tessa and the towns newly appointed relationship therapist, who hasn't had the best track record when it comes to love and Jack, who is the town mayor and is also having his own troubles in the form of dealing with the town's local problems.

Jack discovers that his dispute resolution can be solved by hiring Juliet as a mediator to help the town solve their problems with each other. What he did not expect was to fall for her charm and passion to want to help others and the fact that she could help him express his emotions. Their opposites attract chemistry definitely left for some heated arguments and yet their mutual attraction for one another that slowly built was such a wonderful sight to see that blossom. I really enjoyed Jack and Juliet's story.

Once again, we are delighted to return to Blossom Glen and visit one of the three Montgomery sisters. Juliet is a relationship therapist, yet has bombed in the relationship department herself with 2.5 broken engagements. With that record, who would listen to her? Recommended to take a break in her job, she stumbles upon an offer by hunky young Mayor Jack Monroe to become the town counselor, temporarily, and help to mediate townspeople’s grievances. Juliet is so very kind as she listens to others and the townspeople call her the affectionate name Lulu or the Sweetheart Fixer. Although Juliet drives him crazy, Jack is in awe that everyone really cares about Juliet and he wants the town to care about him too. He thinks that maybe Juliet has a point about being open to express your feelings, something that is hard for him to do. Jack really needs the town to support him against a developer who’s come to town and wants his grandmother’s land for a golf course and hotel. Jack is a doer, and this time, he’s having a hard time trying to solve this problem. Is it any surprise then that Jack and Juliet fall for each other as they butt heads but discover their authentic selves? But given Juliet’s history and Jack’s insecurities from his past, can they make it stick? This is a lovely little romance, full of homespun cuteness and small-town goodness. I love all the family support for each other as they rally around both Jack and Juliet. It’s just a good old-fashion read that is enjoyable to lose yourself in on a rainy afternoon. I look forward to visiting again Blossom Glen and seeing what happens next with the youngest sister, Viv and catching up on her sisters Tessa and Juliet.
Many thanks to #netgalley #theseetheartfix #mirandaliasson for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for the electronic copy. This author is talented at writing a cozy romance. The characters are likable and funny. The protagonist is quirky and delightful. The story moves quickly and is sweet. I liked this book. I really liked this book. Curl up in a cozy chair with a warm Afghan and a cup of steaming herbal tea…lose yourself in this story. Maybe sit by the ocean and be transported to this town with these characters. I cannot wait for more books from this author. I hope for a sequel. I did not want the book to end.

Juliet Montgmery is ready for her new career as a counselor. But on the first day, one in the couple she is counseling, calls her out on her own past broken engagements. Her new boss suggests she take a few weeks and to better prepare herself for her new job. In the meantime she stumbles into a city meeting where the mayor, Jack Monroe, is hearing disputes. She resolves things so well that the mayor offers her a part time job as the city counselor.

As sparks fly between Juliet and Jack she takes the time to find out why she is a people pleaser and how that led to her almost getting to the alter 2.5 times. Jack, loves being mayor, but he has his own issues. He fears abandonment because of his childhood. And the reason he is in town is to save his grandmothers beloved property.

This is a sweet, small town, closed door, low angst romance that is easy to recommend. It has a few quirky side characters with focus on family and friends. This is the second in the Blossom Glen series. I’ve read and review the first and while this can easily stand on its own it is better to read in order. The main couple in the first book factor are respectively the sister and the best friend to the MC in this book. And you get to know the progress in their relationship. Now I’m going to have to sit back and wait for sister Vivienne’s story. Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Juliet Montgomery is a couples counselor with low self-esteem. She loves her small-town life in Blossom Glen but feels that everyone in town is always judging her for her past mistakes. She has a loving family and many friends. She meets the town’s mayor, Jack Monroe, and the two don’t see eye-to-eye on anything. Juliet is big on showing emotions. Jack, not so much. Yet the more time he spends around Juliet, the more he sees that learning to do so might help not only himself, but the town.

Jack offers Juliet a temporary job, which means he must spend more time around her and actually doing things with her. Neither one is looking for a relationship. Yet the more time they spend together and get to know each other, the more their feelings for each other change to something more than friendship.

Juliet has been able to help solve several issues in her temporary job, but the one Jack needs the most help with, no one can solve. His grandmother is about to lose her land to a developer and there’s nothing he can do. Or is there?

A charming story of healing, new beginnings, family dynamics, and a HEA.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Sweetheart Fix is a delightful story about a relationship counselor afraid to have a personal relationship and the town mayor, who only wants casual relationships. Fate, of course, has other plans and their journey finds Jack and Juliet in some interesting, often humorous situations that test their resolve as the attraction builds. Readers of The Sweetheart Deal will enjoy the updates on Leo and Tessa and other inhabitants of Blossom Glen. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Highly recommend.
