Jackson and Juliet are a couple to be reckoned with. As Mayor, he struggles with his personal communication skills. Juliet has had 3 engagements but remains unmarried. As a relationship therapist one of her first couples after joining the practice, questions her ability to provide realistic support based on her romantic history. She's put on hiatus and ends up as the Mayor's counselor.

Their initial meeting is like oil and water: they didn't mix, but after a heated counselor meeting where she provided the perfect solution, Jackson changes his mind. As their work relationship progresses they also begin to develop personal feelings for each other. But can Jackson and Juliet me ve beyond their love jaded pasts to forge a new relationship together?

Along the way you'll meet some old friends and some quirky inhabitants of this small Midwest town. Such an uplifting and fun book to read.

Although part of a series, it can be read as a standalone book. An ARC eBook was read and reviewed, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sweet Juliette is trying to begin her career and get back into her hometown after some years she struggled after losing her father. Her community rejects her marriage/couples counseling. Dejected, the mayor doesn't know he needs help, but finds it in Juliette. The good looking mayor and the dejected couples counselor attempt to save a tree. Can Juliette work with the mayor and fix her counseling woes? This is a sweet, easy read. Just what you need in a feel good story.

The Sweetheart Fix is the second book in the Blossom Glen series but no worries if you haven't read the first in the series as this can easily be read as a stand-alone.
This is a small-town charming romance, a fun romance that you'll want to tell your sisters and friends about. Blossom Glen, Indiana is home to Juliet Montgomery, she's known and loved by all.
We also meet Jack, the mayor of this small town. He loves the town and its people but just wants to be left alone to fix its problems. Actually, he only became its mayor to help his grandmother with something he thinks is totally unfair.
Thrown together in a working relationship Juliet sees Jack is a rather grumpy person because of so much stress. Running out of time to help his grandmother leaves Jack frustrated beyond belief. I enjoyed seeing the slow burn of the romance, a real romance was established and grows naturally.
The characters are flawed and imperfect making the book so realistic. There are fun scenes, laughter, a little drama and the sweetest grandmother ever.
The characters are fun, relatable and makes you want to read more about them in future books which I'll be looking forward to.

The Sweetheart Fix is book 2 in the Blossom Glen series, but it can be read as a standalone.
A sweet small town, enemies to lovers, slow burn romance. I was impressed with the flow of this book. The characters and story reminded me of a rom-com. I felt different emotions while reading. I had a good time reading this one. So much so, I plan to go back and read the first book.

I love this small town enemies to lovers romance novel. The Sweetheart Fix features some strong chemistry with really amazing characters. I love that Juliet is a counselor and a lot of the focus of the book is mental health. This is the second book in a series but can be read as a stand alone. Definitely recommend as I enjoyed the writing, setting and characters!!

This is the second book in this series, but it can definitely be read as a standalone book. You don't have to read Tessa and Leo's book, but you should because it's a great read.

This series really showcases Ms. Liasson's ability to write a wonderful story without leaning on sex as filler – something that not all romance authors can pull off, but she does beautifully. Don't misunderstand me, there's nothing wrong with sex scenes in a romance book (Ms. Liasson's previous books are shining examples of the right balance of heat and heart) but when a story doesn't have any depth and just relies on sex-as-the-foundation-of-a-relationship filler, I don't buy the happily ever after because there is no solid relationship. That's not a problem this book has. Ms. Liasson has always had a beautiful way of writing relationships that start slowly, and grow and blossom genuinely and realistically. By the time the physical part of the relationship happens, you genuinely believe in the friendship between the characters and their chances of making their relationship last for the long haul, even when hard times hit. Jack and Juliet are a beautiful example of that – they are flawed and imperfect, they have weaknesses and faults, but that's what makes them relatable. And the fact that they develop a real relationship is what makes the reader root for them.

If you're looking for the kind of story that makes you feel like you're getting a big, squishy hug from a friend, this is that book. There's an entire range of feelings on these pages - from angst to frustration to laughter, and the kind of story lines that you get invested in. Since this is a late-November release, I highly recommend curling up under a soft blanket with a hot cup of tea and reading this story because it will make you feel all warm and fuzzy.

(No disclaimer needed because I purchased the book.)

I really had a wonderful time with Juliet and Jack. They were a fun enemies to lovers romance with a very significant slow burn that worked well since they each had their own reasons for avoiding relationships.
He’s the no nonsense mayor and she’s the town sweetheart, and they are all kinds of tangled up together thanks to her sister and his best friend so avoiding one another is pretty difficult, but somehow they managed. Me thinks they managed a little too much?
Anyway the moment Jack and Juliet are on the page together you can feel the sparks. She is sassy and sweet and has her own issues to battle, same as Jack. But the attraction cannot be denied, no matter how hard they try. The way they complement each other but can’t see it yet was such a good twist and it was really made the romance ring true.
Like I said, I had a good time reading this story. I liked The Sweetheart Deal but The Sweetheart Fix was like a fun rom-com movie it was so engaging. There were plenty of fun side characters, most especially Jack’s pint-sized grandmother and all of Juliet’s whacky family.
Definitely a 5 star read for me!

The Sweetheart Fix is a wonderful small town romance! The characters were so likeable and I could feel the story! Jack, the town mayor, and Juliette, a counselor, were perfectly written and brought together! This whole romance gave me a heart-warming feeling and made me smile. It is the second book in the Blossom Glen series, but easy works as a stand-alone. It was the perfect book for a lighter read! Author Miranda Liasson writes a well-flowing storyline in her books, and this one is no exception. Great read!

Miranda Liasson is a master of small town romance. In the Sweetheart Fix she takes us back to Blossom Glen, Indiana and the Montgomery sisters. Juliet, a novice therapist, hits a bump in her career and finds temporary employment with the town’s mayor, Jack Monroe. Both have history and shortcomings to overcome before they can be open to taking a chance on each other. Opposites do indeed attract and in their case, are better together. This is second in a series but can be read as a stand alone (although it’s more fun to catch up with the characters from the first book!).

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I adored this book! I loved how Jack and Juliet complement each other so they each become better people. This is a second book of the Blossom Glen series, but you can read it as a stand-alone too. This is what the book’s about:
Juliet Montgomery absolutely loves her small town of Blossom Glen, Indiana, and everyone loves her. Except for the fact that she’s a couples counselor who suffered not one, but three very public breakups that no one in town can forget. And now her boss asks her to take a step back…which is exactly when the town’s good-lookin’ and unusually gruff mayor offers her an unexpected job.
Jack Monroe absolutely loves being the mayor of his small town. Except when he actually has to talk to people. Can’t he just fix the community problems in peace? Like right now, he’s mediating the silliest dispute two neighbors could possibly have. When the town sweetheart steps up and solves everyone’s problems in five minutes flat, Jack realizes what this town really needs…is a therapist.
Juliet is able to soothe anyone—other than the surly mayor, it seems. But there’s a reason they say opposites attract, because all of their verbal sparring leads to some serious attraction. Only, just like with fireworks, the view might appear beautiful—but she’s already had one public explosion that’s nearly ruined everything…how can she risk her heart again?

This was such a sweet book to finish up my fall reading! Not only did I love the characters, but I loved the central focus of mental health and therapy. It had so much helpful information without reading like a brochure.

And as I was reading, there were SO many things that just hit me squarely in the heart. While I do still have both of my parents, my relationship with them wasn't always the best, especially when I was younger. Many of the things that Jack felt with not feeling wanted or good enough really resonated with me.

This is a super, sweet small town, closed door romance that just makes you slow down and reflect a little. 🧡

Juliet Montgomery is back home in Blossom Glen and loves her job as a couple's counselor. The only problem is, how can she give advice when her own love life is in shambles? When her new boss tells Juliet she needs to take a step back for a little while, Juliet is at a crossroads. By chance she is at town hall and gets involved in a meeting with the townsfolk and the mayor. When the mayor Jack Monroe sees how easily Juliet interacts with the residents, he offers her a job. Maybe Juliet can not only help herself and the mayor, but maybe she can change the opinions of the town to finally accept her as a couple's therapist.

Jack Monroe is the mayor and a country boy at heart. He took the job so he could find a way to save his grandmother's house from foreclosure. His only problem is communicating effectively with the town. When Juliet shows up unexpectedly at a town meeting, Jack sees that she could be the answer to all his troubles.

This story by Miranda Liasson is so heartwarming. The characters are well written and have many facets to their lives which enhances the story line. I loved the banter between Juliet and Jack and was excited to see their story evolve. The supporting characters added a new dynamic to the story, and it was nice to see the characters from the first book as well. As this is the second book in the Blossom Glen series, I am looking forward to reading the next book already. My thanks to Entangled Publishing who gifted me a copy of the book, and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Sweetheart Fix by Miranda Liasson (Blossom Glen #2) - Book #136

Juliet Montgomery loves Blossom Glen just as much as everyone loves her. She’s worked so hard to become a couples counselor so when she’s asked to take a backseat at work and work on herself, she’s devastated. After grabbing a cup of coffee turns into helping mayor Jack Monroe settle some neighbourhood issues, he’s so impressed he offers her a part time job.

It was so nice returning to the town of Blossom Glen and having all of my favourite characters return and be such a big part of Jack and Julette’s story. Gah, these characters are so lovable and relatable, I love how supportive and loving everyone is. The banter was hilarious and having the multiple POV made it so much better. Really enjoyed their dynamic, it seems so natural.

Thank you Entangled Publishing for a copy of The Sweetheart Fix in exchange for an honest review.

I have to say this was an enjoyable read. Okay, at times it was. Others which I'll talk about weren't so good. For the most part, I really liked this story. I enjoyed the characters and was happy to be back in this very cute town.

I really liked Jack and felt for him. He had so much pressure on him about his grandmother that it was sucking the joy out of his life for him. He's a good man and without so much family pressure I think would be an even better mayor.

Juliet is also a character I think you'll really enjoy. She's the reason I sometimes got a bit pissed at the story. I was so tired of hearing about how she couldn't be a good couples counselor because of her past. We all have pasts and keep doing our jobs. Juliet really cares about her hometown and wants so badly to help the people of it if they'd just give her a chance. I loved the idea of her helping the mayor and giving helpful advice.

Together these two work. They don't get that right away but as time goes on they do. You'll enjoy the ride with them. I think you'll also really enjoy the townspeople and their lives. I know I did. I want more from this series and can't wait to see what will be next.

If you're into small-town romance then you'll really enjoy this series. There is a bunch of sweet characters that stand for each other and at times even interfere a bit in each other lives. How could I not enjoy this story? I will be waiting for what comes next.

The Sweetheart Fix is the second book in this author’s Blossom Glen series, but you can read it as a complete standalone and not miss anything. (I haven’t read the first book and had no issues with the characters or the plot.) While the author is new to me, this will not be the last book of hers I read.

The characters were lovable, if not a bit quirky. There was a good bit of emotion but tempered with some humorous scenes. And, of course, a sweet enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance. Set in a very small town, I found myself wishing I could move to Blossom Glen to find a close-knit community that would rally around me as they did for Jack, even when they were up in Juliet’s business…with long memories to boot. While sweet, a bit funny, and a little sassy, too, it isn’t without some heavy emotions, either.

The Sweetheart Fix by Miranda Liasson is a heart-warming contemporary romance about a relationship counselor who is bad at relationships and a small town mayor who is allergic to feelings. Liasson’s writing is like sinking into your favorite treat: sweet and satisfying. The nature of Juliet’s and Jack’s unlikely friendship is relatable to real life, and how that relationship grows is the best part of the story. Returning to Blossom Glen is exactly what I needed to pick me up out of my book funk.

Juliet is the middle of the three Montgomery sisters who we first met in The Sweetheart Deal nursing a broken heart after a failed almost-engagement. A year later, Juliet has completed her master’s program and returned to Blossom Glen as a relationship counselor. Seemingly everything is perfect, exactly how Juliet dreamed, but her clients distrust her after three failed engagements, and her boss has ordered time off to deal with her own feelings about the situation. Then fate steps in.

Jack Monroe is the mayor of Blossom Glen, passionate about his small town but not a good communicator. As a result, Jack has a hard time settling small disputes and relating to the people of the town he loves so much. When Juliet happens to crash one of his town meetings and resolves a couple of conflicts with ease, Jack offers her a job as the town counselor. She will help him solve disputes and communicate with the townspeople which will in turn give her the confidence she needs to go back to her dream job and succeed.

The two together couldn’t be more opposite! Jack is a no-nonsense kind of guy that doesn’t talk about his feelings ever. Juliet wears her emotions on her sleeve, and it is her job to discuss the things no one wants to talk about. Somehow the two complement each other really well. I love the tentative friendship that blossoms between them. The attraction is almost instant so it was nice to see the author focus on building their trust and open communication before any physical involvement.

Overall, I really enjoyed The Sweetheart Fix. Jack and Juliet are easy to root for. The town itself is a main character this time as well. I love Blossom Glen, and its townspeople. They add levity to the story and help to fully flesh out the characters. Highly recommend this one for those that enjoy friends to lovers trope and small town romance.

The second in the series, this does well as a stand alone. It’s a sweet love story with both MC’s having issues to work through as their relationship evolves. They both have supportive families who make them realize the truths about the problems that have plagued them most of their lives. It ends with a nice HEA.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and Entangled Publishing through NetGalley and was under no obligation to leave a favorable review. All opinions are my own.
