This one just rubbed me the wrong way. I normally like the whole "pretend to like each other" storyline, but it didn't work with me here.

Falling for her fiance was another great book by Cindi Madsen. I really like her writing style and her stories. This author is one of my favorite authors and I really love reading her stories. The story of Danielle and Wes was amazing. I love friends to lover stories and this is a really great one.

This is a great friends-to-more story that is good for a cold and snowy weekend. I know that this subject has been written in various ways but this story is fresh take on it with wonderful results.

“Falling for Her Fiancé” is hands down my favourite book by this author. This book is funny, sensual and has a heart of gold. It brought the friends to lovers trope to a brand new level. Loved it! Absolutely recommend

I love books that have best friends fall in love, and this was a fun one to read. It’s full of misunderstandings and assumptions that keep Dani and Wes fighting their feelings for the majority of the book as they struggle to maintain their friendship rather than take a risk. But that’s no surprise, is it? I don’t read these books for a surprise ending—I read them to see how the characters get there.

Dani (27) and Wes (probably 27) have been best friends since college. Each of them has somewhat recently gotten out of a serious relationship. I enjoyed watching them realize that they loved each other beyond mere friendship and would always compare people they dated to each other. They’re both good people, which I liked. I really hate the best-friends-to-lovers books in which one of the characters pines after the other, who sleeps around in order to fight his or her feelings for the other friend. So this was nice.

The writing itself was okay. It lacked a certain depth to make the characters come off the page. Sometimes dialogue felt somewhat forced and unnatural. And for some reason, all combinations of “fi” and “fl” were missing. As in, “floor” was “oor,” “office” was “of ce,” etc. Once I got used to it, it wasn’t a huge deal; it didn’t make the book unreadable. I assume the finished work didn’t have that issue.

But the story was cute, and I could see it making a cute rom-com movie.

Note: A little swearing. Ogling each other. One sensual scene.

Fallout her Fiance is a swoony friends to lovers romance that makes you feel good down to your soul. It's sweet, low on drama-ish, and full of moments that will have you giggling. I absolutely loved the relationship between Dani and Wes, I found myself rooting from them from the moment we get to see them together, even if it is just as friends. Falling for her Fiance is a bit different from Cindi's other books, but I promise it's just as enjoyable.

Dani and Wes have been best friends for ever, both needing a favor and a date, they make a compromise. Dani will accompany Wes to his sister's wedding and Wes will return the favor and accompany Dani on her company retreat, I mean really what could go wrong...or perfectly right? Grab your copy and find out!

I think everyone (either secretly or not-so-secretly) loves a good romance trope (if it's done well enough...and even sometimes when it's not), and this novel ticks two of those tropes - best friends turning more than friends, and faked relationships. To be honest, this title does make me cringe a little, but it doesn't make the story itself any less enjoyable or feel-good. And that's exactly how I would describe this story - it's something to make you feel good; you know it's going to end up with a HEA and it's nice to join the characters along for the ride.

Now as for the characterisation, both Dani and Wes were fantastic - on their own and with each other. Dani is a great female heroine to follow along her journey and Wes is a perfect complement to her - after all, opposites do attract. Their relationship, the entire way through, you could tell did have some unspoken words and 'tension', something that they couldn't see about it - but everyone else clearly could. The relationship journey itself was well-developed, I didn't feel as though it was an 'insta-love' situation as a direct result of the fact that there was such a clear and well-developed connection that had been shown to be in place before the novel itself started (if that makes any sense).

Overall, a really fantastic, enjoyable and light hearted read - perfect for a nice evening with a cup of tea.

Dani and Wes have been best friends since college, but never really more. They each end up in a situation where they think being in a relationship will help. Dani is trying to get a promotion at work and Wes wants a date to his sister's wedding where his ex-fiance will also be in attendance.

I think the author did a nice job of really making Dani and Wes' friendship strong and realistic. You could tell how important they were to each other and that made their struggles with exploring a relationship feel believable.

Dani had about thirty emails in her work inbox about the upcoming retreat. Of course people were excited they got to take their significant others and get in good with the boss. While the company would never call the retreat couples exclusive but the one they had a couple of years ago proved that being part of a duo meant more time with the boss and his wife. Wayne Bridges always bragged about how Bridges Marketing, Inc. was family friendly business. Medical bills for her grandmother were expensive. Mama was living in Florida and took over Dani’s grandmothers physical care as well as working long hours. DAni was helping as much as she could. When even her scholarships didn’t pay for college family had all chipped in but her grandmother Morales ad put in the most. Wes called and told Dani to tell him he didn’t have to go but they both knew he would even though his sister was having Wes’s ex fiance as a bridesmaid. Wes agreed to go to the retreat with Dani as her fiance if she went to his sisters wedding as his fiance. Wes was Dani’s best friend since college. It had been a long time since they seen each other. Of all the stunts they had pulled this one would take the cake. Dani was Wes’s favorite person to hang out with . Being with Dani was effortless. They liked the same jokes- she just him in a way no one else did. When something good or bad happened Dani was the first person Wes wanted to call, and it had been like that pretty much since they he’d met her. Dani had left North Carolina to be with Steve- her boyfriend and now they weren’t together, He had hurt Dani . Wes had felt the urge to punch Steve from day one, but he’d tried to get along with Steve for Dani’s sake. All of a sudden Dani seemed to be noticing Wes’s body and she always knew he was good looking. Dani decided whens he got back home it was time to put herself out there again and find someone to date. She had been alone to long. Wes borrowed an engagement ring from his friend Paul who’s girlfriend had left him before he could propose. Paul acted a little interested in Dani. Wes had never really liked any man looking at Dani in that way.
I loved this story. It was a fun, easy, read, with just enough angst in it. I loved Dani and Wes together and how they interacted together. Not sure why their kiss in college was so bad yet they had such hot chemistry maybe had something to do with Wes ‘s experience as well as they alcohol. I loved how close Wes was to his family and how Dani was determined to help her mom and grandmother. I loved the pace and plot of this story. I loved the ins and outs of this book as well as the characters and I highly recommend iit. But there were a lot of errors that should be corrected.

Falling for her Fiance: An Accidentially in Love series by Cindi Madsen.
Falling for her Fiancé combines a fake engagement with a friends to more story. Dani and Wes have been friends since college. One drunken night Wes tried to kiss her and it didn’t turn out well. They have remained friends even through dating other people. They are both single and need a partner. He wants one for his sister’s wedding to prove he has moved on. The Maid of Honor is his ex. Dani needs one to prove to her work people that she is settled down and mature.
There are several fun scenes with the two of them. With every friends to more story you just want to yell at them to say what they are feeling! I enjoyed the banter and playful ness between them that I was willing to wait it out.
This was a sweet story with no physical sex scenes. Cindi was still able to create lots of chemistry though.
Language – d#mn 15 times, sh*t – 16 times,
Sexual content – chemistry but no physical scenes
Alcohol – some casual drinking

I received this book from Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review.

Falling for Her Fiance, by Cindi Madsen is an enjoyable contemporary romance, and the first book in the Accidentally in Love series.

Wes and Danielle have been best friends for years. When they need dates to important life functions, they ask each other, as well as devise the perfect plan of a fake engagement! Of course, the fake relationship leads to romance and falling in love with their best friend.

As the first book in the Accidentally in Love series, it easily reads as a standalone. However, there are additional books in this series already published, which is perfect for those looking for a fairly short series to read.

Falling for Her Fiance is a highly enjoyable story, and it's geared towards those who enjoy reading modern fake engagement romances.

Cindi Madsen has produced a lovely sweet story of best friends who grew into so much more than friends. While Dani and Wes had hurdles to overcome, their love story kept me intrigued and entertained for a full day of binge reading!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher of this book for allowing me to read this ARC in return for an honest review .

The story mixes two tropes — friends to lovers and fake to real fiancé. The idea isn’t new but the execution here is good. I thought the characters had nice chemistry and I was cheering them on throughout the read.

I read an advance copy that had what seemed to be a find/replace-all error that removed certain letters throughout. I’m sure this will be resolved before the final version of the book is released.

I received a copy of Falling for Her Fiance by Cindi Madsen from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Overall, this novel missed the mark for me. The grammar errors were excessive (don't remember seeing that this was an uncorrected proof either) and the formatting was poorly done for an advance copy. I felt that the plot should have been interesting given the story's summary, but the plot wasn't evenly paced and it was boring. Also, the main characters' chemistry fell short.

I'd give Falling for Her Fiance by Cindi Madsen 2.75 stars.

Danielle and Wes have a fake engagement to help them get through a work event for her and a wedding for him. But the longer they spend together the closer they get to each other and soon they aren't faking it. But what will happen when they have to go back to their real lives, miles apart?
An enjoyable read.

Wes could be just a considerate man, “you can shower first. There are fresh towels in the hall closet and my body wash will make you smell like a dude, but you’re welcome to it. Anything else you need?” Wes is all for showing his girl a good time, "he bounced her higher and strode toward the helicopter. “It can wait. I want to show you the roomy backseat in my helicopter.” I liked this book, I fell in love with Wes.
