Perfect cuddle up in a cold day and get lost in a book read. I enjoyed it from start to finish. A great pallet cleaner when you just need something light and romantic.

Thank you for the e-arc to read!

I DNFed this two chapters into the book as I found the characters extremely annoying, immature, and quite frankly just not making sense. For instance, Kade, who didn't believe in love to the point where he emailed a stranger about it telling them how they think it doesn't exist, checking his email on repeat for an HOUR when he had a business to run and bashing his computer in frustration for not opening the email fast enough....it just doesn't make sense to me and is a massive red flag for a character. I don't want to read a whole book about a character that would do that, or the female character who knew how much the appearance at the book store was, but didn't even set an alarm so they didn't miss it... I really don't understand. Also, at one point, Liana was talking to her sister who ordered her a car to pick her up. Her sister said it would be 6 minutes away. They preceded to say bout 10 sentences to each other that would take like 2 minutes max (and that's with some akward pauses) and then the car had magically arrived. No way that conversation took 6 miuntes. I just found it poorly thought through and the characters honestly didn't feel real at all. Sorry.

Love, Liana…Sincerely Kade didn’t work for me due to the ages and immaturity of the main characters. I made a good faith effort to read till the end, but I DNF’d at 100 pages. You might enjoy this more if you really like 90’s rom-coms.
Liana is a gorgeous 23-year-old advice blogger with green eyes and red hair down to her waist. She quit a magazine job to run her own blog that doesn’t pay the rent for an apartment she shares with her sisters, including the toxic one who stole her only real boyfriend. Despite her lack of romantic experience herself, she has amassed a sufficiently wide readership to have a bookstore event--without a book to promote—where she agrees to start answering sex questions due to popular demand. As promised on her site, she responds to readers seeking advice without 24 hours…until she receives an email from Kade.
Kade makes no sense as a character. He’s a gorgeous 29-year-old highly successful publisher who has plenty of time to pick up a new woman every night for no-strings sex. He also has plenty of long chats with his roommate/assistant Stephanie, a black lesbian who puts up with his bullshit, presumably for financial reasons. He writes a bordering-on-satire email to Liana about how he’s so bored by the beautiful women he beds and wonders if someone can teach him about love. He then constantly refreshes his email to see if she’s responded since he evidently doesn’t have enough to do in reviewing manuscripts and running a company.
I like well-worn romantic tropes, but not with these characters. I would’ve enjoyed this if the whole thing had been written from Kade’s perspective as a delusional stalker who will decide whether or not to go on a murderous rampage based on his one-sided relationship with an advice blogger.

"Rules are made to be broken. But more often than not, breaking them had some dire consequences."

Please check trigger warnings - DV, talk of homelessness and drug use.

A cute slow burn rom com with some heavy subjects.

I loved Kade and Liana's banter, their relationship was so cute I loved watching it bloom into something more.

The epilogue was EVERYTHING! My only problem with it was I need more!

I did think Liana's family drama did over take the story a little in the beginning.
Also Kade thinking he was a sex God was a little over done.

Special thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for a free, electronic ARC of this novel received in exchange for an honest review

I wanted to like this book as the blurb was interesting but I was bored pretty quickly and this became a DNF.
It just didn't work for me. I didn't like Liana or Kade.

ARC REVIEW - CAUTION: EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER AHEAD

Doherty has constructed & delivers an emotional roller coaster for the reader in her book. The emotional roller coaster revolves around laughter, sadness which involves crying & sobbing, love that begins at friendship & ends with happiness, hate (despising?), frustration in many areas of life, anger & happiness & contentment. Doherty is able to accomplish all this with her ability to handle serious topics in a sensitive & real way. Doherty uses the the characters of Liana, Kade, Stephanie, Cleo, Kit, Luka & Zoe to expose the issues of domestic violence, drug addiction & abuse, homelessness & trauma, panic attacks & self-esteem & self-worth. All of these are addressed in both a serious tone & a tone of lightness to bring the reader back to a story of friendship, loyalty & love. The book was not easy to read in the beginning. The characters are harsh & problematic in their situations but the push to continue makes it worth the effort. Doherty has created a story of emotional drainage but the reader will find it all worth it at the end.

Love, Liana...Sincerely Kade by Allie Doherty is a feel good contemporaty romance.

I have to admit that I couldn't get into this book. I loved the summary as it sounded incredibly interesting but unfortunately, II lost interest pretty soon.

I found it bit stereotypical at times but I loved how it addressed some very serious issues and family drama which it turn deterred from that feeling of romantic comedy that I was expecting.

The chemistry between out hero and heroine is fabulous. I really liked them both as they are very endaring and likeable characters. Banter between them was adorable. There were some funny moments which I particularly enjoyed there were parts which I found quite boring and skimmed through.

Nevertheless it wasn't as enjoyable and lighthearted as I thought it would be.

Although I feel as though this book lacked the roller coaster ride that I usually look for in a love story, I can say that this book was a delight to read.

Love, Liana….Sincerely, Kade is probably the book that I enjoyed most this year. I was actually expecting an enemies to lovers trope at first but that didn’t happen for who could resist the adorable personality of the male lead?

Allie Doherty did such a good job in creating a loveable male hero by the name of Kade. At first, we get a glimpse of someone aware of his effect on women and used that advantage to sleep with every good looking woman who was willing. But as we turn the pages, we meet a kind man who is desperate to know what love is. Despite his manly good looks and the macho image he seems to project, deep inside he’s funny, the perfect best friend, soft like a marshmallow or a warm fuzzy blanket that you’d love to curl under while watching a romcom movie. I think that among all of the male characters I’ve met in romcom novels, Kade is the character I love the most.

Sure, the book wasn’t what I expected it would be but it was a great read. I found it so hard to put it down. I enjoyed my laugh-out-loud moments and when I wasn’t laughing I was always aware of myself grinning.

I had fun reading this book. Minus the roller coaster ride that I liked in a story, it had everything I wanted, laugh-out-loud moments, relatable female lead, a swoon-worthy, strong but gentle male lead, some love scenes (though I wish there was less and instead more conflict), a tight knot in my throat AND a good cry.

I was enjoying this book and I was looking really forward to the plot and how everything would turn out. However, I wasn't the biggest fan of the writing and the way the characters were portrayed. Unfortunately, it just wasn't my cup of tea.

I picked up this book expecting it to be a lighthearted read, but I was pleasantly surprised and completely taken aback by its depth and rawness. I hadn't expected to become so emotionally invested in the two main characters.

The angst, the heart ache, the serious topics, which were handled brilliantly by the way, all caught me off guard. This was a romance, but there was more to this book; we have a lot of side characters dealing with their own relationships and serious issues, as well as a lot of family drama.

Kade's growth throughout the book was beautifully executed, and watching him and Liana fall in love was a real pleasure. Overall, I really enjoyed this story. I'm excited to read more from this author.

A woman taking control of her life ✔
A woman living independently of her toxic father ✔
A woman still nurturing hope and optimism ✔
A woman rocking her sexuality ✔
I loved loved loved this book. Liana - struggles with insecurity, sibling relationships, realistic - proudly runs her blog. With a 24 hour guaranteed turn around - until Kade.
Kade - also living his life with no shame, sex is it but wants to learn how to love. Which works perfectly for Liana - she proposes a business deal. Kade instructs Liana what is so amazing about sex, her body; Liana teaches Kade recovery - and I am here for it!

Thanks to NetGalley and Lake Country Press & Review for the chance to read the e-ARC in exchange for a fair review.

I devoured the last 24 hours to read this and it's all worth it! If you expect to find a light romance/rom-com when you see the cover or read the blurb then you're wrong, this book has much more depth to the story than the cover might seem--and it's sooo interesting, and clearly works for me!

The build-up and the plot is great and was well-written. The interesting characters with their own personality, issues, and backstory to tackle with enrich this story even more. Not to mention their banter, chemistry, sexual tension, and THE PINING for half of this book! They made you laugh and cry out loud together as you can do nothing except to rooting for them.

The substory/sub-plot was also interesting, though it could be count as tragic as it centered around (TW!) abusive relationship, drug abuse, and violence. But it put more meaning into this book as the main characters are trying to find a solution, talked about their issues, and learn to cope healthily.

Overall, it's a great emotional read for me. Would recommend this to those who enjoys You've Got Mail, Set It Up, and mixed all of the rom-coms.

P.S: trigger warning on slightly mentioned of violence, drug abuse, abusive relationship, parents death, divorce.

Thank you to NetGalley & Lake Country Press & Review for the ARC!
Right from the start I was pulled into this story! With Liana’s side of the story having sisters, wealthy father, and work I was really unsure where it was heading but I found myself wanting to find out where Liana’s life was heading.
Going back and forth from Kade to Liana kept me interested as well as I really enjoyed how sometimes the dialogue would overlap and you would get a peak at what the other person was thinking/feeling during a scene.
Kade started out feeling a bit “icky” to me. Very self absorbed & macho but the author did such a wonderful job at peeling back the layers of this character to where my heart broke with him. He was a deep character who has become one of my favourite rom-com men. The story talks about very dark issues but somehow the story was fluid, heartwarming, and deep. I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end and I am excited to read future books from Allie Doherty!

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Read if you like:
- enemies to lovers
- romance advice columns
- family drama
- spice 🌶

Liana is a romance blogger, who knows everything about love&relationships but nothing at all about sex. Kade is an egotistical a**hole who knows everything about sex, but needs to work on the love&relationships part. Kade writes a letter to Liana hoping to gain a little insight; and Liana promises her reads that a sex column is coming!! The only problem is she knows nothing about sex. Maybe she could make a deal with this d*bag and learn a thing or 2 about sex, and he could in turn learn from her how to be a proper human being. Easy right?! What could go wrong…?
I love the cute little illustrations at the top of every chapter and randomly throughout the book! Especially when you’re reading an ebook, a small illustration to go along with the story really does a good job of breaking up the monotony of just black words, page after page after page.
I also really liked the format of storytelling and letters exchanged between the characters. There’s 2 totally different “feels” when reading a story vs. reading dialogue exchanged between the different personalities of the characters.
I am pretty indifferent to the character of Liana. Kade though I absolutely hated until I saw how he treated his best (girl)friend when she went through a rough time. From then on I couldn’t wait til him and Liana got together 🤞🏻
There is some DEFINITE spice 🌶 in this book obviously, but it wasn’t overpowering and it wasn’t cringey (as some authors are prone to doing 😩)
Overall this was a very enjoyable, quick read that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a humorous enemies-to-lovers rom com!
This was like a crime/rom com hybrid and it was really perfect mix. I haven’t read a book that mixed these 2 things before, it was a very enjoyable read!

I adored this book. It was everything I wanted in a romcom- funny and heartwarming.
Not without it's drama- Stephanie's substory was heartbreaking and extremely traumatic to read at times. This was not the warm and fluffy read you would expect, and it really is moving.
I loved Liana and Kade, they were the perfect characters to tell this story. I laughed with them often.
The story of the agony aunt/ lifestyle guru was just fantastic- I looked forward to reading it every bedtime and it was exactly what I needed.

With a slow start, this book didn’t give me much to hope for. It took me almost two weeks to get through the first 20%, but from there on I read the remaining 80% in one day.

Somehow this book was able to touch on topics of childhood trauma, substance abuse, and domestic violence, while maintaining the rom-com vibe promised on the cover. Love, Liana… Sincerely, Kade touched me way more than I originally thought possible. At times I wanted to physically shake them, but you have to root for Kade and Liliana.

I have received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Shout out to Xpresso Book Tours, Allie Doherty, and NetGalley for the ARC!

I liked the story and the way the character interacted between them, because it really brings something different to their story.
Recommend this book for those who love stories when the main character balance each other.

The book also delves into tough issues including drug abuse, domestic violence, and homelessness. so if anything like that triggers you is best avoid.
