Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I thought this book lacked spice and was too awkward to be a true romance. Kade was too stuck on his lack of a love life that it made having sex with Liana uncomfortable to read. He seemed to be going through the motions. Just not what I was expecting.

I DNFed this book after finishing chapter 7. I just couldn’t get into this book like I normally do. My critiques are below:
- The formatting is off on almost every page. Either there single letters on a line that is a part of the word on the second line or paragraphs are chopped up. I could get over formatting like this especially from an arc if it was occasionally, but it was almost every page.
- I don’t feel like there was enough detail/backstory to the main characters to really dive into this story.
- I don’t like a ton of unimportant details in a book, but I do like feeling immersed into a story (details of a house, restaurant, work office) and this lacked that. I felt like I couldn’t be in this book.
- The flow of the story felt very choppy and rushed to me without getting good information.

I will not be posting my review on platforms as I don’t want to sway anyone from not reading this book.

When I picked up this book, I was hoping for a light and fun romance novel, to help me decompress after a long work day - and I got just that! However, I must say the book, the characters and the story didn't really grab my attention. I found it to be full of tired clichés, worn out plots, and unrealistic dialogue. I feel many people would like it (especially if you are only looking for an easy read), but it just didn't cut it for me.

Liana and Kade are two incredible characters with complex family histories and heart-breaking backgrounds - I loved them both, in their own way, and seeing them grow together was fantastic. I think Kade is one of the most interesting MMCs I have read in a while.

There were many things in this book that didn’t exactly work for me, but there were specifically two main ones (mild spoilers):

1. The focus her family gets during the first half of the novel is, ultimately, irrelevant.
2. The unnecessary heartbreak brought on by the stereotypical third act break-up.

Overall, this book was sweet, romantic and with many more triggers than I thought it would have.

3/5 ⭐

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

The book is about a Liana who is a freelance romance advice columnist who receives an email asking for advice from Kade.

I ended up DNF'ing this book 20% in. I could not get into the story at all. There were a lot of issues with the spacing. I couldn't get into the writing or the story. I read a lot of romance books and I just didn't notice anything that set this apart from the thousands of other books out there.

I did like how the chapters headings were done. I like how Liana and Kade have different designs from font and the wiskey glass for Kade and coffee cup for Liana.

Critiques:
- not sure if this is an issue with my copy, but the spacing seems off
-- first word in chapter 1 "oh" the O is not on the same line as the h.
-- weird line break after "i'd"
- I wish the font of the letters between Liana and Kade were bigger
- why is some of the font red?
- When Liana and her sister are speaking there are no spaces between paragraphs, where before there was a space between them.

I really liked this book and devoured it in less than a week. I was given an e-ARC from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review and I’m so grateful to them!
Liana Dawson is a romantic advice blogger whose readers push her into adding a section for sex advice. However, she doesn’t have much to say in that department because well, her sex life is kind of non-existent. Then we have Kade Jennings, the king of one night stands and the answer to her problem. The two characters decide to team up after Kade requests her help to understand love which leads them to embark on a journey of self-growth, friendship and ultimately love.
There was so much sexual tension between Liana and Kade and their banter and chemistry was top notch and I liked that there was a considerable amount of focus on side characters's stories and the fact that the author addresses heavy issues such as mental illness, domestic violence and drug addiction.
I can’t wait to read more books by this author! In the meantime, I highly recommend reading this one.

I loved this book so much!! The chemistry and sexual tension between Liana and Kade was honestly off the charts; they were both amazing leads and made me want to keep reading to see them get their happy ending. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was that there was a little too much drama going on for my taste, but it wasn't so unbearable that it took away from the cuteness that was Liana and Kade

There were so many funny scenes and banter between them that I absolutely loved, and the rollercoaster of emotions that the last few chapters took me through was such a journey but one that I was obsessed with! Would highly recommend this book to all romcoms lovers!!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

3.5 Stars. A young love advice columnist connects with a serial one-night stand guy. I thought this book was pretty good, I mean the basic premise was interesting. There was great chemistry between Liana and Kade. There was also a LOT of drama going on with the supporting characters. So much so that the late-in-the-story “conflict” between Liana and Kade didn’t seem necessary. I think as a reader I was asked to suspend disbelief more than I’m used to in most Rom-Coms. That being said, I think this is a young author who is only going to improve so I look forward to reading her next book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Country Press & Review for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Where do I even begin... this book was a whirlwind of emotions, plot lines (and pick up lines ;-)
Would recommend to anyone interested in the following tropes:
-dual POV (yearning can be experienced from both sides)
-charismatic ml/fl
-family issues
-'dating'
-past loves
-angst, a lot of angst
-betrayals
-therapy
-snarky comments
-LOVE

Summary: Liana’s love-advice blog is popular but needs a little more oomph in the sexy department. Kade is an alpha player who writes to her asking if he’s broken because he’s getting lucky, but not lucky in love. The two team up to cover their blind spots and fight a growing attraction.

Liana and Kade have a lot of chemistry. Sizzling, in fact. Which makes each of their one-on-one scenes crackle with witty banter and tension. When they’re on-page together it’s hot and we catch the feels with them.

Unfortunately, Liana and Kade aren’t the stars of their own love story. Secondary characters and jam-packed subplots steal the show.

Neither Kade, nor Liana, behave like real people or lead plausible lives. Some things – like Liana being a love-advice expert who knows little about love or Kade going from Chicago street kid to wildly successful New York literary agent – can be ignored for Romance Reasons.

A few winks and nods to believability are part of the fun in a romcom – but here the suspension of disbelief and reliance on coincidence rocks the ride. In one of the largest cities in the world, do people run into each other everywhere at exactly the right or wrong moment? Work, finance, friendship, family dynamics, travel, infidelity, decision making, apartment hunting, and the rules of time in the criminal justice system run through a Sex in the City fuzzy world filter first.

Even the love story rests on shaky ground. We are expected to believe what holds them back from hooking up, when they both want to, is because he’s her “client.” No, he isn’t. He’s a guy who emailed a free-blog advice site. Taking a trip to Bonetown, NY together isn’t a conflict of interest unless it’s forced to become so as a slave to the plot.

Still, put their love story front and center? I’d overlook the glitches.

This book just took one of my top spots for favorite books of 2022 so far!

I absolutely fell in love with the characters and the story! Liana's and Kade's chemistry was adorable and swoon worthy. There was banter and so much sexual tension between them you couldn't help but fall in love with them both. This book had so many good elements, it had drama (just the right amount), humor and it made you not want to put the book down! I read this book in just a few days because I needed to know what would happen next.

You have Liana a single romantic-advice blogger who LOVES love but who at this point had only had one serious relationship that ended badly, she lacked experience and was kinda of shy when it came to sex; then you have Kade Jennings who exudes sex and has the looks to go along with it, who preferred sex / hookups with no attachment, making him to opposite of Liana. He writes in to her blog asking about love, was it real? wondering what's wrong with himself for wanting nothing to do with it [thinking himself a psycho].

Next thing you know this unlikely pair come together in a business opportunity neither of them can pass up! Made for an ADORABLE romantic comedy you are sure to love!

2.5 Stars Love, Liana… Sincerely, Kade was a sweet rom-com, that was ultimately, just okay. There were a few things about this story that made it hard to get into. First, I wasn’t able to really believe that Liana was twenty-three years old and running a romance advice column (that she apparently started at eighteen, or at least that’s when she pitched the idea to her father). It’s also hard to believe that at twenty-three she left a successful and lucrative job in favor of running her own blog. For these things to be believable it would’ve been better if she’d been at least her mid- to late-twenties. Second, I couldn’t get into Kade as the romantic lead. I get that he’s supposed to be the king of one-night-stands and is looking to change his ways to meet someone to spend the rest of his life with, but his character was confusing and his actions often clashed with what he said he wanted. I’m still confused as to why he didn’t introduce himself as Kade and lied about his identity when he first met Liana at the cafe where she had asked to meet him.

For some reason I really struggled with reading this ARC! I’m not sure if it was the fact that different emails were written in red ink in my copy and the writing felt choppy. I made it 50% through before having to DNF. I feel so bad. I will not post my review because I do not want to persuade readers based on my opinion.

I was so excited for this book based on the synopsis. And I thought the first half was pretty good, but then it became very repetitive and a bit too much. The beginning was bit like an updated version of You’ve Got Mail. I loved Liana and Kade emailing back and forth even after they met. I wish the book had more of that aspect. It started going wrong for me when there was constant turmoil in both their lives. It was too much. Liana had issues with her family, Kades best friend was struggling and he was also trying to be better. It was just a lot to keep track of. Also, the book focused on Kade trying to grow and be better but Liana seemed just as bad and it was never addressed that she was pretty terrible to her family. It seemed to resolve by everyone trying to make things up with a Liana instead of her acknowledging she was behaving terribly. The last half just seemed very pieced together and didn’t flow well. I didn’t understand how Liana became instant best friends with Luka (the guy that broke her heart in high school by sleeping with her sister) after seeing him twice. And the conflict at the end between Kade and Liana seemed forced and should have happened sooner than it did with Kades history.
I really wanted to like this book and it had so much potential but it just went too far off track in the second half of the book.

There was so much tension and chemistry between Liana and Kade. I loved reading it from both of their POV! It was fun getting into both their heads.

There were so many great references to romcoms. I enjoyed seeing Kade breaking down some stereotypes.

Thank you to NetGalley and Xpresso Book Tours/Lake County Press for sending me an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was really excited to start this book since, from the description, it had the cutest set-up to be a romcom. Sadly to say, I had a hard time getting into the book. I don't think the writing was the main reason since I found it quite easy to understand and, as someone whose English isn't the first language, I also didn't find any difficult words that put me into searching the meaning to understand better what was happening. The 'problem' was the male love interest and all that was happening with the main female character. As for saying this, I think this book is much more of a General Fiction's book than a Romance book. For people who already read and will read this book in the future, I think you will understand what I mean with the General Fiction once you read this book because, as far as I can share, there is a considerable amount of focus on side characters's stories and their relationship with the main characters. About the male love interest, Kade is a strong personality character and it's a case of love or hate for him. I think he was the only character with a big development and it was nice to follow it through this book. And, still talking about the romance, I almost could consider this a slow-burn since it takes a while for things to really start happening between the main characters. One thing I would have loved to see a bit more was Liana giving more opinions about the e-mails she received and a bit of the background, how her blog started, how she was able to make her blog grew up and things like that. As a whole, I enjoyed the book more towards the end of it, where you can see the relationships between the two main characters and see how they end up together.

For people who might be interested in reading this book, I would say pick this book with an open mind. The romance will be more of a sub plot and you will read about more things, such as friendship, growth and some other topics. One thing I highly suggest is to check the TW before reading it since it has some sensitive topics and it might not be for everyone.

3.5 stars, wavering about which way to round it because I did find the romance in the last third of the book cute. There were aspects to Love, Liana… Sincerely, Kade that I did enjoy; for one, the premise of Kade writing to Liana’s advice blog was intriguing. I appreciated that Kade in particular had a lot of character growth; Liana learns a little bit about herself but I think Kade’s journey is more memorable and obvious.

Honestly, I didn’t like Kade or Liana for the first half or so of the book. I know part of that is because of Kade’s poor coping mechanisms and past trauma, but it doesn’t change the fact that he was kind of terrible to everyone except his best friend, Stephanie (the condescending attitude he had about Liana’s blog and his arrogance really annoyed me initially). I liked seeing him trying new things like watching romcoms and discovering that he liked them and wanting to go to therapy and actually learning things from therapy. His increased self-awareness and connection to his emotions in the latter part of the story showed just how much progress he made, and I was proud of him for that. (Doesn’t change the fact that I wouldn’t have even talked to him if I were Liana though lol. He was such an ass.) Liana also had me side-eyeing her character because so many of her thoughts after meeting Kade were just about her lust and physical attraction to him. And the way all her family drama played out was so frustrating. The resolution of at least some of it felt rushed as well, as there’s never a real talk on page between Liana and Kit after the huge fight; we’re told about her gesture and then everything’s fixed? I didn’t like that much at all, considering how big of a deal their fight was to Liana and how dysfunctional their family is.

And the family plus best friend drama of five years ago with Luka and everything seemed to be fixed to easily. Liana didn’t even give Luka a hard time about it after he suddenly reappeared, but from what we know about what happened, I didn’t get why she was so nice to him. I didn’t care for the whole mean girl might be nice but no she just sucks for real thing we got, either. Liana’s family just seems like trash, and I still don’t forgive Kit. Eh.

The romance between Liana and Kade was cute, but while I do like slow burns, the will they won’t they got frustrating here because their reasons for not getting involved with each other seemed flimsier the longer it went on. Liana calling Kade a client didn’t make sense to me when she’s literally just an advice blogger answering his question for free? He’s not paying her?? She’s not his therapist??? I was less convinced the longer it went on. I did like that they got to build up their friendship first, though, and actually spend time getting to know each other. It turned out to be a big thing for Kade, too, who is used to sleeping with women casually as a coping mechanism or form of escapism, I guess. And after they did finally get together, their relationship was adorable. The way Kade and Liana support each other and how soft they are and just mushy and sweet made me smile. I love how happy they made each other. The reason behind their separation then was actually believable because of Kade’s mental health struggles, but it was nevertheless frustrating, particularly because of Kade’s wait in between realizing how he messed up and finally doing something about it. The grand gesture was cute though and romcom worthy.

I do wish that we got more of the email exchange between Liana and Kade initially, but I liked that Kade felt comfortable opening up to Liana both through email and in person. The way they felt open around each other was really sweet.

Overall the romance is a cute part of this story, and I respect that some heavier issues were addressed, but some of it got very exhausting (family drama, the abusive side character relationship) in ways that I think prevented this from really feeling like a romcom. It’s tricky to try to tackle all of these things in a way where every aspect of the story feels balanced and well addressed, but props to the author for the effort.

When I read the blurb, I was immediately excited and thought the book had all the elements I usually love in a romcom. However, it was really hard for me to get into it. The first 60% of the book was so slow and I felt that the romance fell into the background. There was just so much going on in this book. We have the MMC struggling with his traumatic childhood and also trying to get his closest friend out of an abusive relationship, while the FMC had some intense family drama going on. There was also some OM/OW drama. All of those things just took away from the romance and made the story feel very chaotic.

I did really enjoy the leads though. Kade and Liana were so funny together. The sexual tension between them was so palpable and I loved the spicy scenes.

All in all, this was still a super cute read, but I do think the book had a bit too much drama for my liking. I would still recommend it to romcom lovers out there. Just be sure to check the trigger warnings!
