If you are a fan of the single dad trope, this one is for you, it has a bit of an age gap, and it's definitely interesting to see how Syd and Ford's story starts. This is the third book in the Dalton Brothers series, all amazing and sexy. Everly, is Ford's daughter who you will simply love. The chemistry between Ford and Sydney is scorching hot, the story is sweet, and simply great listening. The audiobook is narrated by Summer Morton and Tor Thom, they both did a good job giving voice to these characters. I strongly suggest you get this format if you enjoy audiobooks.

After reading each of the previous books in The Dalton Brothers series, I was eager to read/listen to The Single Dad and finally get Ford's story. I love books about single fathers and Ford is a great one. He puts his baby girl above everything else -- what's not to love about that? When he meets Sydney, their chemistry is off the charts. But can he balance loving two women? His daughter and Sydney?

This book does a wonderful job of exploring the delicate balance between a father and his daughter when another relationship is brought into the situation. For years, it's only been Ford and Everly. He's unsure how to include another woman without jeopardizing Everly's emotional security. When Sydney becomes Everly's nanny, he's determined that nothing further can occur between them because he can't risk losing her as a nanny. But he doesn't bargain on their intense attraction becoming almost obsessive. I really enjoyed seeing the evolution of this romance and the way these three grow into a sweet little family.

I listened to the audiobook and found the narration to be enjoyable and complimentary to the story. I felt the narrator's voices worked for the characters and I would recommend it to others.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to listen and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

I love that I can read this series out of order. I love the Dalton brothers and this one did not disappoint. I loved Ford and Sydney and their dynamic. I absolutely adored Everly and her relationship that blossoms with Sydney. I'm not always a single dad/mom trope fanatic but this was enjoyable.

If you love the single dad and nanny trope.... Jump on this one. The series itself is delicious.

Honestly, this was just such a cute book and I loved the spice and Ford-ness

Lets start by what I didn't enjoy about this book.... there was nothing. I thought this was a steamy and fun read the entire time. I thought the two narrators were perfect for the characters, and the story was engaging and fun. Definitely put me in an age gap mood. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to enjoy this audio book. I am decently recommending it.

I enjoyed the main characters in this story. After seeing Ford in the previous book, I was interested to see his romance and the way his brothers would treat him. It was also good to get to see his brothers living their HEAs. I loved Everly, she added so much every time she was on page.

I just didn’t connect with this book, and it could be because of my mood for reading or the fact that formula wise it was so similar to the other books in the series and when that happens, I can’t read the books in the series closely together. I like the stories to be different. The formula isn’t a bad one, just not one that I want too often.

If you like Billionaires and nanny romance and high steam, then this is the book for you.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Single Dad by Marni Mann was INCREDIBLE. The Narrator's who narrated the book did fantastically. They really made the experience that much better. Marni Mann's writing was addicting. The twist at the end of the book… I did not expect that to happen. I was hooked and had to stare off into space at work for a bit to really focus on what was happening in the story. Would I recommend this book? Absolutely. Try the audiobook too.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the early Audiobook in exchange for a review.

Obviously, The Single Dad is just that, a single-dad romance. It's also a single dad and the nanny romance with a little bit of age gap - only 8 years difference. Besides the romantic couple and, of course, the child, there are a fair number of characters in this one. That said, I think it can easily be read, or listened to, as a standalone. The narration is done by Summer Morton and Tor Thom, and they do a great job of keeping each character distinct, including a precocious four-year-old. To the best of my recollection, this is my first time listening to either of these narrators and now that I've heard their work, I won't hesitate to listen to them again.
The story is very low angst. In fact, I felt like it was a little too low angst at times, especially for such a lengthy book. Total listening time was about 9+ hours. Granted, a good portion of that is Ford and Sydney generating steam - lots and lots of steam, but it still seemed lengthy to me. I do have to give a big high five to Marni Mann for not taking the easy way out in creating some angst. I was sure of a couple of things that would cause a rift between Ford and Sydney, but Mann didn't go there either time. There is what I would call a plot twist toward the end, and I really didn't see the reasoning for it. It didn't really add anything to the story, in my opinion.
I did like the characters. Ford is about as swoon-worthy as it gets, and Sydney has a good head on her shoulders. There are times when she seems to have it more together than Ford despite her being the younger of the two. As likable as they may be, the real showstopper here is Everly. That child is an absolute hoot, and I found myself smiling pretty much every time she appeared.
So, what it comes down to is a very low (almost no) angst romance with engaging characters and more steam than you can shake a stick at. I think the audio is the way to go with this one, especially with narrators like Morton and Thom. The Dalton Brothers have turned out to be a fun bunch, and this series is great for a relaxing bit of escapism.

I was just recently introduced to Marni Mann’s work, and I’m officially obsessed with her. Words can’t express how much I loved this audiobook. Marni Mann always gives us a great storyline with interesting, fun, and relatable characters. This story was no different. It was tantalizing and scandalous. The chemistry between the main characters was sizzling. The smeggsy scenes were explosively hot! Another blogger (Shabby-BookBistroBlog) said once, “Undisputed Queen of Lust, sensuality, desire… thy name is Marni Mann.” Perfectly said! Sydney is such a sweet character. She’s like a ray of sunshine. Ford is the epitome of a scorching hot alpha man. The way he is with Everly is everything. He’s what every woman dreams of as a father. I absolutely adored every single thing about this story.

“He wanted more of me. More kissing, More touching. More tasting. And I soaked up every second because no man had ever treated my body like him.”

Tor Thom and Summer Morton are a dream team. They were perfectly cast for their roles. Their timing, pitch, pace, and tones were exemplary. These two narrators are flawless in everything they do. Their characterizations were spot on. They made the smeggsy in the story even more intense. I love the way Tor portrayed Everly and she and her daddy’s bond. Summer really embodied Syndey and made her shine. They both brought this story to life. I highly recommend the audiobook version of The Single Dad.

Thank you to Valentine PR and NetGalley for gifting me this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

The Single Dad is the third book in the Dalton series. It's a single dad/nanny story that will bring a smile to your face. I loved the dynamic between Ford and Sydney from the start. They have amazing chemistry. The way Ford is with his daughter will make you swoon and how Syd is with her is so sweet. Their friends and family are the best, what a great dynamic.
Summer Morton and Tor Thom did a fabulous job bringing these two characters to life.

Third book in The Dalton Family series was a great nanny/single dad story. I loved the family dynamic in this series, they are a tight knit group. Ford was such an attentive father, and his daughter was the cutest child. Sydney was the perfect fit for that little family. Ford and Sydney’s connection was strong from the beginning. Summer Morton and Tor Thom did a great job portraying these characters.

I’m loving everything about the Dalton Brothers Series but I have to say I this is my favourite so far, I fell hook line and sinker for Ford Dalton and his adorable little girl Everly and I absolutely adored Sydney Summers and once you put all three of them together you get the perfect read. If single dads are your jam look no further than The Single Dad ( The Dalton Brothers #3) you won’t be disappointed.

The narration was spot on and Summer Norton who is a new narrator to me and Thor Thom did a fantastic job with the emotion and the witty banter which really brought the characters and their story to life.

From the moment Ford and Sydney meet sparks fly, the chemistry they share is scorching hot and impossible to ignore so will they cross the line and take their friendship and working relationship one step further……
The Single Dad has all the feels, it’s emotional, it’s witty, it has wonderful characters but it was the relationship that Sydney built with Everly that took this story to another level. I urge every romance lover to one click this very special read and this book will certainly on my best reads of 2022. Looking forward to what’s coming next from the very talented Marni Mann.

This was a hot and sweet book. I liked Ford and Sydney together and Everly was a sweet addition to their relationship. For me it was a great palette cleanser to read between heavy reads. I'm going to read the rest of the series.

This story is so hot and wonderful. @marnimann delivers exactly what you need: a spicy romance with depth.

First, I love the characters. Complicated, relatable and desirable. MMC is a single dad whose life revolves around his daughter. He has a wonderful family and great support, but he needs more help: he needs a nanny. Enter FMC, his one night stand. She’s fresh from adventures overseas and ready to think about her future. I love how she has some things figured out, but not everything. They both have something to offer one another.

Second: this book delivers on the spice. It’s an open door romance. In fact, I’m not even sure there is a door. It’s probably a hallway, or a public park. However you deem to classify it, it was hot and spicy and positively swoony. And NOT the driving force of the book. And this is important. There are some spicy reads that are literally spice driven, minimal plot, and they have their place. I just want to make the distinction, that this gem of a story has the benefit of both. It’s a great story of these two people figuring out what’s next for them, and it’s scorchingly delicious.

This one was fun! We have Ford who is a father to Everly, and a billionaire lawyer and even tho his cousin Hannah has been taking care of Everly Ford knows it’s time for Everly to have a proper nanny. The night before he starts looking for one he goes out with his brothers and he meets Sydney and him and Sydney have an amazing connection right away. On her way out in the morning Sydney runs into Hannah the cousin looking after Everly and finds out that Sydney was a nanny for 4 years before and is in school to be a teacher and she starts to scheme to get Ford and Sydney together and tells her to apply for the position but makes her promise not to tell ford she knew who they where when applying. When Sydney interviews ford can’t help but see she is perfect but he knows if Sydney takes the position he won’t cross the boundaries so she has to choose Everly or Ford and she chooses Everly. And honestly Ford couldn’t be happier, especially as he watches Everly and Sydney every day and sees how good she is for his daughter and not only does Sydney take care of Everly she always takes care of Ford in ways he has never had before and lines suddenly start to blur. This was such a fun romance novel! It had billionaire, age gap, nanny, spice and some suspense ! I did the audiobook and the narrators did a great job! Thank you to dream scape media for a copy of this audiobook for review! Out now!

The Single Dad is the 3rd book in The Dalton Brother’s Series, and wholly moly! Drop what you are reading to read this book! Actually the whole series. The Dalton Brothers are HOT! But, Ford is so sexy, so alpha, so sweet. Even with his insecurities and hidden vulnerability, he’s a keeper! Sydney was so unexpected for him, and threw him for a loop. Their instant connection and chemistry was perfect. They had this magical push and pull. She’s smart, witty and while she was falling in love with his daughter he was struggling with his feelings for her. While, trying to protect his daughter. The roller coaster of emotions, the little plot twist definitely kept me hooked and turning the pages. Everly is just the cutest little girl. I loved her! The books in this series are fire! The audiobooks are steamy! Definitely worth the listen. Narrated by Summer Morton, Tor Thom.

Wow, what a story.
I just loved it.

It's kind of cliché: sexy single daddy falls for the nanny
But Sydney and Ford have their own order.

OMG what a sexy, brilliant, awsome written book.

If you love to read single dad stories, then this one is definitely a must-read for you!
Highly recommended.

Audiobook performance: 4⭐️ I really enjoyed both narrators! Such a fun read on audio.

TROPES: age gap, nanny, single dad

I have been looking forward to Ford’s book so much! He was such an enigma to me, especially in the last book and I was dying to see him fall in love again. Him & his daughter Everly were so adorable in this, ugh I melted!

Sydney was honestly a perfect fit for Ford. She was smart, lighthearted, caring, dedicated & just the way she was with Everly made me smile so hard. I loved getting to see her kind of meld her way into their family. They both balanced each other super well. The chemistry, the tension, even the gentle moments they had were hot.

These two first meet out at a bar & off the bat are attracted to each other. Then fate has other plans of course when Sydney shows up to interview for the nanny position Ford needs for his daughter. The tension between these two to remain professional and keep their hands off one another was SO GOOD. Loved loved loved it.

This was a fun time single dad/nanny romance. Not crazy high with the angst but we still get something to make you feel, guys are never perfect right? Highly recommend this one!

This was okay. There wasn’t much I actively disliked, but there also wasn’t much I actively liked, and in the absence of any passion towards this book, I’m left feeling…meh.

It didn’t make sense that the FMC would continue the lie to the MMC about the job origin after their relationship gained steam. It was a low-stakes lie and led to a low-stakes vibe - and while I’m usually down for low stakes if character profiles are strong or the spice is hot, everything stayed on brand and was middling.

The climax action held a lot of promise, by way of surprise plot points, but even the twist didn’t pull me in.

This wasn’t bad - and it wasn’t good.

Thanks NetGalley for the free audiobook.

It was a nice read, but felt a little bit too insta-love for my liking. They only went on a couple dates and suddenly they love each other? I had a hard time seeing the romantic connections. It was okay for a romance novel with the single dad trope but I felt like the connection was the main problem. I would recommend to friends as it was still a great book. Just not five star just yet.
