I love the Dalton brothers so much! I could wait for Ford's story! Ford and Sydney have amazing chemistry right from the beginning. When Sydney becomes Everly's nanny, Ford knows he's in trouble. The story is hot and heartwarming and I loved it. I love when the children in a story add so much to the story and little Everly did just that. She was a breath of fresh air. Sydney and Ford were hot. I love these brothers! I wish there were more of them!

The narrators did a great job. My only thing that I got a little stuck on was the male narrator and female narrator kept pronouncing the shortened version of Everly differently. Otherwise, I loved them and they did a great job with the story.

Ford and Sydney's one-night stand is explosive. And then his life pretty much explodes when Sydney is the best candidate to be the nanny for Ford's adorable daughter, Everly.

There is so much heat between these two, I needed to fan myself. And while Ford is swoony and hot and successful and all those other things that we love in the billionaire hero trope, he's an absolute mush when it comes to his darling daughter. I could not get enough of those sweet scenes with Everly! As Ford and Sydney try their hardest to ignore the attraction between them, she is creating a wonderful bond with Everly, and I adored the relationship established between the two of them.

I did read this book when it was first released several months ago, and had the pleasure of experiencing it all over again on audio thanks to Tor Thom and Summer Morton. This book has all the feels, and kept me entertained from the prologue to the last page.

Oh good lord Ford is the daddy of my dreams. In every use of the word. Spicy, well written, tugs in your heart strings. Immediately went and purchased the first 2 books in this brothers series and am anxiously awaiting the release of the 4th.

Sexy single dad who didn't even know he had a baby until mom shows up with newborn but steps up and takes control of everything without missing a beat? Yup, that is catnip right there. Add in a nanny who just happened to be his one-night stand but met his daughter on her way out the door and made a spectacular impression, meaning Everly really liked her on first meeting, and there is no way this one cannot work. Will they be able to get past the having to keep hands off each other, well how long will they last? The best part is that Syd is everything Everly needs and she puts her first...always. I loved this one!

This was my first by Marni Mann and I can completely understand why readers get so hooked onto her writing. Absolutely fell in love with Ford. There is nothing sexier to me than a loving father and that was exactly who he was. But in the bedroom… 🥵🥵🥵… phew he is a dirty talker and I am here for all of it!

Sydney has come back to LA to finish her degree and meets Ford at a bar. They have an immediate connection and she goes home with him. But she soon needs to chose between working as a nanny for Ford and his daughter and a relationship with Ford. The choice isn't easy and there are moments where the lines are blurred until they can’t ignore it anymore.

This was a well written, spicy story and anyone who loves a single dad or nanny storyline will completely fall in love with this. And let me say Tor Thom is the absolute PERFECT Ford. I can't imagine anyone else in that role. I enjoyed Summer's portrayal as Sydney as well. They really brought the story to life and were easy to listen to.

This book was such a joy to listen to! It captured me from the very beginning and the steamy scenes were spectacular! I really enjoyed the whole story and how Ford and Sydney met. It was fun and entertaining and I just loved Ford's daughter Everly. This is the first book I've read in The Dalton Family series and it is a complete standalone, but I loved it so much I'm going to go back and listen to the first two in the series before The Intern comes out! The narrators were amazing and I loved their takes on Ford and Sydney!

Ford Dalton has walled off his heart from everyone but his daughter. As a single dad and lawyer his priority from the day she was thrust into his care at his doorstep in the middle of the night, Everly has been the only thing that matters. Women have been few and far between and a means to an end until a one night stand changes everything.

Sydney is freshly back from traveling as an Au pair and ready to start her schooling to be a teacher. One chance encounter at a bar and one hot one night stand with the mysterious Ford Dalton ends with her waking up at his place and accidentally meeting his daughter.

When Everly’s nanny announces she needs to step back, Ford knows he’s going to have a hard time trusting anyone. Imagine his surprise when the woman he’s been seeing walks in for his final round of interviews. And that’s when Sydney must make a choice- it’s either Ford or Everly. He won’t let her have both.

I haven’t read the rest of the Dalton Brothers series but it was easy to jump into this one without feeling like I was missing too much. I loved Ford as a dad and he absolutely had his priorities straight. I do think Hannah’s bad advise at the beginning was unnecessary and I’m glad that didn’t end up being the central drama.

Marni dropped a shocking twist on us that I did not see coming! I did think the book was starting to wrap up and then bam she hit us with that. That was so well done I need to tip my hat to her for that one.

Overall I enjoyed the main characters, the steamy scenes and the narrators. I think this would be a great audiobook for you if you like single dad/nanny romances. I’m definitely going to go back and check out the brother’s books next.

Thanks so much to Valentine PR for providing me with a netgalley audio copy for review.

The Single dad is available now on kindle unlimited and audible!

Despite being the third novel in 'The Dalton Family' series, this is my first experience of a Marni Mann novel.

As a single dad/nanny romance it's fairly predictable but still enjoyable with the precocious Everly stealing the show at every possible opportunity.

Of course the interactions between Ford and Sydney are intensely hot and although they endeavour to revert to a platonic relationship, temptation undoubtedly compares to Adam and Eve's.

In this, the audio version, Tor Thom and Summer Morton add life and dimension to this family and, for me, sparks an interest in previous novels as well as what might be yet to come.

All in all a pleasant listen introducing a new-to-me author.

I was fortunate enough to receive this audiobook from Valentine PR through NetGalley and it was my first Marni Mann book and absolutely not my last. I have recently been super into the single dad trope and this book hit the spot! Spicy and sweet and once I got used to the narration, I couldn’t stop listening.

The Single Dad is the third book in the Dalton family series focusing on Ford Dalton and his ADORABLE daughter, Everly. He meets Sydney right when she returns to America to begin college after her stint as an au pair out of the country. Their chemistry is incredible, but when Sydney interviews to become Everly’s nanny, they both agree to a strictly professional relationship. However, they can’t stay away from each other, and their internal conflict over the right thing to do kept me invested (plus the spice was great lol).

If you love the single-dad trope, this book has to be on your TBR for sure. I can’t wait to read more of Marni Mann in the future!!

This is the first book of the series I've read and didn't feel lost at all so I feel it's easily a standalone.

I adore Ford!! Everly is a spunky cute little girl and I loved the bond those two had. Sydney wasn't an overly exciting character but felt she was a good fit for what Ford was looking for.

I'm hoping one of these upcoming books in the series will be about Hannah!

Holy steam factor batman! The spice level of this romance is off the charts! Your significant other will be thrilled with the results of you reading this book! Toss in great, well thought out characters, a sweet plot and a happily ever after and you have yourself hours of delightful entertainment. The narrators really bring the characters to life and elevate the steaminess of the story. Got to say, this is one author I will definitely be going back for seconds on! I can't wait to see what else she has available on audiobook!

So Sweet & Spicy
4.5 Stars

I enjoyed this much more than I expected! Great spicy scenes and equally as many sweet awe moments. there was a twist that caught me very off guard, did not see it coming.

I liked both narrators, the male narrator Tor Thom has a wonderful deep voice perfect for romance novels. His tone came across a tad formal at times but if fit Ford so much.

A sexy single dad? Yes please! Hot billionaire lawyer? omg! This is my kryptonite and I am completely here for it! Ford Dalton had an unexpected visitor one night, who dropped a newborn little girl into his arms. Now four years later she is his whole world and they are so sweet together. One night his brothers talk him into going out and he meets Sydney and they have a night of explosive passion. He is surprised by how much he likes her and wants more from her. Sydney is home after being an au pair in Europe and wants to become a teacher. She needs a job while she goes to school, and is persuaded to apply to take care of Ford's daughter, Everly. She and Everly bond instantly and Sydney is a perfect fit. Except that means the relationship that was just getting started between Ford and Sydney comes to a screeching halt! Ford doesn't want to risk Everly's heart getting broken if he and Sydney don't work out, but what about his heart?
This was so much fun to listen too. Ford, Sydney and Everly were so sweet and fun together, and the sexual tension between Sydney and Ford was off the charts as they tried to always do what's best for Everly, but unable to deny their fiery attraction! I loved Ford and Sydney together, they were so in tune together with how they handled adventure and adversity without any forced drama but with humor, patience and love.
Summer Morton, and Tor Thom narrate this beautiful, sweet, and steamy romance. They did a great job bringing these characters and story to life as they delivered all the wit, emotion, and steam. I was totally lost in their performance. I really enjoyed listening to this fun, touching, sweet and steamy romance!

Series: The Dalton Family #3
Pages/Audio: 11 / 9 hours and 27 minutes

This is the third book in “The Dalton Family” series and was a very good audio listen by Marni Mann. This is the third book that I’ve read by this author and so far, this one I favor the most. Although sexually driven as the other two I’ve read, but that is what overshadowed the romance and other conflicts in the story a bit for me. The narration by Tor Thom and Summer Morton was on point and they did angood job telling the story for Ford and Sydney. Unfortunately, the voice for Everly was lacking and for a 4-year old could have been done to reflect the age. I did love the male voice as it put me in mind of Sebastian York.

So love a single dad trope, however there were some parts of the story that could have been omitted or were underdeveloped. I can say that the story does not lack in the hot and spicy. The chemistry between the two main characters is very evident. The conflict surrounding Everly’s paternity could have been played out a bit more in the story with the real mother, Ford and Sidney…I would have loved a bit of drama in that area.

If you like borderline erotic, forced proximity, fast burn and lots and lots of steam, then I would recommend the listen, as again the narration was very good.

Thank you, Dreamscape Media, for the opportunity to listen to this story via NetGalley. I enjoyed Summer Morton & Tor Thom’s narration as they brought their characters to life in my head, and they did a really good job with each other’s voices as well as secondary characters.

🎧 NARRATION: 4.5 STARS
📚 STORY: 3.5 STARS

I knew going in that this story would be sexually driven because that’s what Marni writes and, you know what, I’m so used to it now that it didn’t even phase me like it had in the past. Don’t get me wrong, I still think her romance journeys are overshadowed by the sexual nature that she incorporates in the narrative but somehow, this story, it just didn’t seem to rub me the wrong way. I mean I think I may have only skimmed / skipped ahead once or twice and that’s huge progress for me with this author.

I said from the very beginning that I was invested in the Dalton brothers from the first book in this series even tho the first two books really didn’t have much romance growth in my opinion and my ratings show the disappointment I have for this. However, Ford’s story shifted this concept, imo, and even though it seemed like every other chapter was a sexual chapter from beginning to end (lol), the romance journey and growth between Ford & Sydney as a couple, was more prevalent than in past books, so mad props for that!

Lastly, one very good thing and one not so good thing about this story were the “conflicts” in the story. I put quotes around the word conflict because one was a plot twist to beat all plot twist more than it was a conflict but theoretically, it could have been and I cannot tell you how ridiculously satisfying it was that Marni did not turn it into what it could have been because then it would have been just cliché and trite and I would have just thrown my ipad across the room! The not so good plot-point that for all intent and purpose was just about the only conflict they had to their growing relationship was just kinda thrown into the story without much of a purpose. I don’t know if this make sense, but the kind of circumstance that it was, should have been a conflict to their relationship but Marni didn’t drive it in that direction and even tho driving it that direction would make most readers roll their eyes, it needed to happen in order to make sense of why it was even part of the story …. Feel me? LOL (even I think that’s long winded lol but it is what it is) So, as much as I appreciated not rolling my eyes, it left me wondering why it was part of the story in the first place and I really dislike plot-points that make zero sense and don’t drive a story *shrug*

Overall, Ford * Sydney’s story was a huge improvement for me over the last two Dalton brother’s stories which made my listening experience more enjoyable than in the past and I’m hoping this trend continues and whether it does or not, I will most likely continue with this series because the I enjoy the family dynamic that is part of all the stories and now that the three brothers have found their HEA she’s moving forward with extended family and maybe even some second generation books will come from this series! You never know :)

I love a good single dad trope with a hot a sin DILF(🫣🫣🫣). 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐧 has created an amazing one in 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒅. I adored this one so so much!

The narrators do an amazing job at telling Ford & Sydney’s story. I was never bored by their narration & I really felt as if they came to life! Loved that!

𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐧 did a magnificent job at chiseling these beautiful characters, especially little Everly! My mama heart melted for her! The story line is strong and the spiciness sparks throughout, creating an unforgettable listen!

I definitely recommend this 4★ listen! It’s easily a standalone, though I do plan to go back and listen to books 1 & 2 soon!

This was really cute! It was fairly low conflict, there was no third act break up.

The part where Hannah told Sydney to lie about knowing the nanny job was for Ford was honestly super dumb. Like it added nothing to the story and was completely unnecessary.

I enjoyed the narrators. The female narrator was my favorite. The he male narrator was super breathy and I find that so distracting.

I thought I wasn't going to like this because I didn’t realize at first it was a college girl/billionaire age gap story but that ended up not being an issue for me. Overall it was a very cute story.

I received an audiobook arc from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I always love Marni Mann's stories and The Single Dad is no exception! I am a sucker for a Billionaire/Nanny Romance and I love Sydney and Ford's relationship! Their initial meeting was filled with heat and desire, with a side of sweetness but, their relationship truly developed when Sydney became Everly's nanny! Unlike some of the other nanny/billionaire books, Sydney and Ford's meeting prior to her applying was a unique spin on a frequently written and loved trope. I especially liked how a choice had to be made at the beginning between the man and the job! Sydney choosing Everly over Ford, in the beginning, was the true foundation of the little family they create as the story progresses. Obviously, there was so much chemistry, steam, and spice between Ford and Sydney and those scenes were next level, but the sweetness in their relationship was also evident!

Overall: 4 Stars
Performance: 3 Stars
I typically love the narrators of Marni's books; however, the male narrator had a few words that were over pronounced in a distracting manner; and, the way in which the female narrator "spoke" to Everly was a mix of a tone meant for little kids and words/explanations for children older than her. This clash in the dialogue took me out of the story a bit. Also, I am always curious why the male narrator is used for the female voice during the steamy scenes?! It always throws me off for some reason!
Story: 5 Stars

This is book 3 in the Dalton Brother’s series. I hadn’t read the first two books before diving into this one and I wasn’t ever confused or felt like I had missed something.

I think I might have an unpopular opinion about this book but it just felt very “meh” to me. I don’t know that I connected with the characters Ford and Sydney very well and I hate to say it but the 4 year old little girl Everly drove me nuts 😣 The way the two main characters, treated and talked about her made me roll my eyes so hard! As a mom to a 4 year old myself I felt that the interactions between the adults and the child lacked authenticity 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ford and Sydney’s relationship was fine, there is definitely a lot of spice in this book but none of it really stuck out to me. The reason I’m giving it a 3⭐️ instead of a 2⭐️ is because the ending conflict was not what I was expecting and did hold my Interest.

This book had a dual narration which I love for multiple POV’s. I enjoyed both voice actors but sometimes Tor Thom’s Voice was so deep and breathy I had a hard time understanding what he was saying.

Thank you to #NetGalley and #Dreamscapemedia for the #gifted copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
