This was a really loved how the story starts off with the characters having a one night stand that then grows into so much more when the main female character applies to become the nanny to Ford's daughter. This series has been really enjoyable through each book of seeing the story of a character previous mentioned at some point within the other books. This story kept my focus and kept me invested from the very first chapter to the last. Being able to read all the books in this series as an audiobook has been really great. Thank you Netgalley for an arc of this audiobook.

5 star review of The Single Dad (The Dalton Brothers #3) by Marni Mann

AUDIO REVIEW:
This is the third book in The Dalton Brothers series and is my favourite so far. This is single dad Ford Dalton and Sydney Summers story and it was a great addition to the series. I fell hard and fast for Ford and his adorable little girl Everly and I knew that the woman who would bring him to his knees would need to be special and that is just what Sydney is.

The chemistry between them is intense and sizzles making it impossible to ignore. The Single Dad is a fast paced, steamy, angsty, at times emotional story that will draw you in and quickly have you hooked. The characters were easy to relate to and I really liked them. I loved the relationship that Sydney forged with Everly, it was heart warming and I could easily see her as a friend and it was entertaining to watch her relationship with Ford develop.

Tor Thom and Summer Morton did a good job with their narration. They certainly did justice to the characters and wonderful story that Marni Mann wove. They brought all the passion, emotions and angst that the characters went through to life for me and ticked all the boxes for me.

This book was removed before I was able to read it. Actually it was removed within 24hrs of me being approved to read it. Therefore I can’t review it.

Now the book is back up but it suddenly has stopped working on the Netgalley app after I was about 10% into the audio.

At first I thought this book was going to be really awkward. From lovers to nanny? However, I loved that they both put the little girl first and then built their relationship around it. I also liked that even though she wasn’t 100% honest with him, he didn’t freak out because she was being loyal to someone else. This book was smooth and spicy!

🌀Synopsis
Sydney is coming home and going back to school. How convenient is it that she meets a hot guy at the bar right after she gets back. Not only is he hot, he’s also great in bed. Sydney thinks Ford has the whole package.

Their first night together is great but in the morning she finds out he is a singe dad. When his daughter wakes up early Ford’s cousin drives her home and casually mentions that Ford is looking for a nanny.

In the interview Ford forces Sydney to choose between him and his daughter. Sydney chooses the girl and moves in as the nanny. She’s positive Ford will change his mind about the situation and after a short period of time and a trip away, he does. They get to have the best of both worlds.

Story: 3.5 ⭐️

I’ve really been enjoying this series!

This one is probably my least favorite only because this isn’t one of my preferred tropes. Everly (4yrs old) is adorable. A lot of the book is focused on her and with the main characters interacting with her. I’m not a huge fan of kids in books when it’s the main focus but if you are- this is a great one! I really loved Ford, he’s a huge softy and it was adorable. I’m very much looking forward to the rest of the series!

Single Dad
One night stand turned Nanny turns Wife

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to and review this book.
Ford is just a single man living a life full of work and one night stands until one of them turns up with a 3 day old baby she isn't planning to keep. He doesn't have a clue what to do with a baby but he is determined to do his absolute best. Now Everly is 4 years old and has a great life with a very attentive dad.

Sydney is a 20 something who has been spending life since high school trying to figure out her path. Along the way she becomes a nanny and travels the world with a family, she then decides it's time to go home and get on with her education. When Sydney arrives back to the states her friends take her out for drinks to celebrate her return and new chapter of life. Who does she meet at the bar? Ford, of course.

Ford and Sydney have one HOT night but the next morning trying to get out of the house before Everly wakes up she gets caught. Everly loves Sydney right away and Ford already knew she was different. While getting a ride home from Ford's cousin Sydney finds out that Ford is looking for a nanny for Everly. Hannah (the cousin/temp nanny) encourages Sydney to apply for the nanny position but not to tell Ford before she arrives for the interview. Of course lies always come back. When Sydney arrives for the interview she denies knowing before she arrived that the position was for him/Everly and Ford makes her choose. She either continues to date Ford or she becomes Everly's nanny, Sydney chooses Everly and then the tension starts. How can Ford keep his hands off the first woman to make him feel this way?

I was so excited for the opportunity to listen to this book and it did not disappoint! Sydney, Ford and Everly are awesome and their story is such a sweet ride. I really appreciate the fact that the 70/80% drama was different from most books, even if I did have several heart attacks while reading it.. I plan to read more from this author very soon! This was a very easy 5 star rating.

I didn't realize this was a 3rd book in a series and even though I've heard it's a standalone, I HAVE to read in order - so I'm going to DNF for now so I can read the other two to properly listen and THEN review this book.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to The Single Dad by Marni Mann. I loved The Single Dad so much; I took a 3 hours online exam while listening to the audiobook and felt every single feeling Sydney and Ford felt, such as laugh, crying, and jealousy of the baked cookies. It is well narrated compared to The Billionaire, don't get me wrong, I loved the story but not the narration. This is my third book by Marni and the second one I really liked. I loved Everly's character, she's such a grown-up kid, not annoying, and well-behaved... a dream kid. THIS WAS A FREAKING CRAZY SEXY READ, with emphasis on SEXY. It definitely has smut, smut, and smut, but the story is more than just sex. there's a connection. I loved a good daddy-nanny love story.

This book was great! I laughed, I smiled, I yelled, I cried. A book that gave me all the emotions. The characters were well written and made you love them from the start. Everly was for sure my favorite. Just the cutest thing ever! I thought the plot was great and there were some twists and turns I didn’t see coming.

rare full on 5⭐ from me.

Book 3 in the Dalton Brothers series ~ a standalone, but do yourself a favor and read the first two.

Featuring ~ dual 1st person POV, single dad, boss/nanny, lawyer, age gap, forced proximity, fast burn, lotsa steamage

Ford & Sydney
They meet at a bar, make googly eyes and are off to explore their instant attraction. Then Sydney discreetly applies to be his nanny and the brakes are put on their exploration.

Break out the fan cuz these two will give you 2nd degree burns with their smoking hot chemistry.

I am usually not a fan of children in my romance books, but Ford makes me second guess that. He's such a great dad with Everly and she has him wrapped around her precious little finger. Sydney is so patient and great with her. I love that Dominic and Jenner are doting uncles too.

I really can't think of anything I disliked and that's super rare ~ maybe I could have went for a more clever title, there that's something. Between the steamage, shocking revelation and an adorable epilogue it was all around perfection.

Narrated by Summer Morton and Wayne Mitchell for 10 hours and 26 minutes, easy to follow at 2x. They did a perfect job, even with their opposite sex voices.

3.5 STARS!!!
I listened to the audible version of this story, and it was good single dad romance read. It took a while for me to get over the male narrator's voice because it wasn't my favorite but once I focused more on the story and less on the voice, I started enjoying the story more. I enjoyed the female narrator's voice. Ford needs a nanny for his daughter Everly since his cousin Hannah is unable to babysit anymore. Ford wants only the best for his daughter not knowing the best woman for both of them would be the woman he takes home for the night. Sydney and Everly has an instant connection and with Sydney's experiences it makes her the perfect candidate. Ford and Sydney can only resist their desires for each other for so long and things definitely get steamy. Shes perfect for not only Everly but also for him and it just takes Ford a little longer to realize that. Their story is one that has romance, is sweet, steamy, full of great characters and a huge secret that Ford has been keeping from everyone. The ending of this story was sweet and I'm looking forward to reading more books from this author in the future.

The Single Dad was the perfect listen/read during a dreary weather day.

Ford Dalton: lawyer billionaire who can get any woman to go home with him at the snap of his fingers. But he doesn’t take many women home: he has a four year old daughter at home: Everly. But that is all about to change.

Sydney: back in LA after nannying for years. When she returns home, her friends whisk her away to a bar where she instantly has red-hot chemistry with Dalton. A one night stand will never be enough for these two lovers.

But what happens when Sydney applies to be Everly’s nanny?

Marni Mann continues her Dalton series with The Single Dad. I enjoyed reading Ford’s story and loved the dual point of view chapters that were crafted. Narrated by Summer Morton and Tor Thom, both brought another level of spice and depth to the main characters. The adorable Everly made the third in the series one that I will definitely pick up again at some point.

This is book 3 in the Billionaire Series from Marni Mann. This is a super sexy series without a lot of Plot. Most of the books in this series are an age gap romance, this one is not. This is the story of Sydney and Ford.
I really enjoyed the narrators that were selected for this title. They really encompassed the characters and who they were. The performance was well done and I would absolutely recommend this title and narrators.

For the last 5 years Ford has kept his head down and raised his daughter Everly on his own. Relationships have been an almost no starter. It is hard for him to balance his career, his daughter and dating. It takes one night, one meeting of Sydney for Ford to consider to give up his moratorium on dating and going all in with her. That is until Sydney ends up being the best candidate for Everly’s Nanny. Ford forced Sydney to choose him or Everly.

This was a crazy sexy read. This series is heavy on the sex and not on plot but this story does have a bit more to it than just the physical. There is a strong connection between Sydney and Ford and I really enjoyed the push and pull between these two. The connection is intense and it burns hot! If you are looking for an over the top sexy single dad -nanny romance I would absolutely recommend it. The series has recently been added to Kindle Unlimited so now is a great time to give it a try.

3 stars Netgalley provided me with a ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Started out hot & heavy. Lots of spice. He’s a single dad & she’s a nanny.

I don’t like certain words when reading like
the c female word, also “milking it” gives me the ick. Maybe it’s bc this is on audio. When reading you can glance over/not read those words.

Age gap, semi forbidden love, lots of spice and dirty talk. Everly is adorable. I would recommend reading. Plot was good, some of the ✨ scenes were a little ick.

The male narrator was ok but I didn’t like his female voices came of as whiny and the way he said f*ck or f me, every time was annoying. Female narrator was good, no complaints.

I would recommend to read instead of listen. But that is my personal preference.

The Single Dad by Marni Mann is too over the top. I did not like Ford. He was full of himself and sexist, if not misogynistic (outdated view of not wanting his daughter to date [which is more about him], the brothers calling each other b**** and p**** as insults, repeatedly commanding Sydney to do/not do something because she's not capable of making her own decisions). Alternately, Sydney was a perfect woman (correction, girl, as this is how all the men in the book refer to her) that is overly understanding and knows everything about kids, education, baking, and relationships at a mere 22 years old. So ridiculous. I was bored 7% in.

I would have loved to hear from Rebecca instead of having her cast as the catalyst that "caused" Ford's commitment issues.

Summer Morton was the one saving grace for me. However, she only read regular scenes, which made the romantic scenes more boring because there was no variety, it was always Tor Thom. Tor was irritating in his rendering of Ford, and it made me hate this insufferable character even more.

I sadly rate this 1.5 stars rounded up to 2. I was interested in the last hour, but The Single Dad overall was so boring. I had higher hopes for the book given all of the 4 and 5 star ratings across all platforms. Marni Mann is just not for me.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for providing me with an ALC.

After seeing Ford appear in the first two books of this series I am glad that he got his story told and got his HEA as well.

Ford, successful lawyer and single father needs to hire a nanny to care for his daughter. What he did not expect was the perfect person for the job to be a recent one night stand that he had.

Sidney, recently returned from Europe, has the one night stand with Ford and finds out about the position for nanny and applies on a whim. What she does not expect is to actually get the job and fall in love with Everly and Ford.

The chemistry between the pair was off the charts and I enjoyed watching this pair find their HEA. I was a little disappointed in the ending but was surprised by the twist in the story. Overall, it was a great read that I enjoyed from start to finish and would recommend to others.

It’s been a WHILE since a book actually made me blush, but this one did for sure! Yet, it also made me swoon at the love that Ford had for Everly AND Sydney. I am definitely going to go back to read the first 2!

The Single Dad is a great story. I loved all the characters, especially Everly. Ford and Sydney have a great relationship. I loved the way it built and that the author didn’t fabricate drama for the sake of drama. All that happens made sense and added layers to the complexity of their relationship.

Summer Morton saved this audio for me. I checked the speed numerous times when Tom Thom was speaking because he sounded off and at times echoed like it was a bad quality recording. The story is hot and spicy, with a fair amount of Everly, and his performance took me out of the story.

In the end the smart writing and Morton’s performance made up for it- keeping me invested in the story and the conclusion.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! It covers the single dad trope with flying colors. It's funny and covers a wide spectrum of issues. The characters, even the child are so lovable. The narrator nails the characteristics perfectly. It's spicy too which is a plus for me when it comes to the romance genre. I definitely recommend this one.

This is the third book of The Dalton Family series focusing on the third brother, Ford. When I tell you I am about to read the first two books because of how much I love Ford (these books can be read as a stand alone but I wish I had read the others) I absolutely love love love this book. Ford is amazing & protective. Everly is just such an adorable little girl & Sydney just wraps the three of them up in such a perfect little bow. If you're looking for a hot single dad romance this is IT.

Audio for both characters were absolutely perfect!
