Thank you Net Galley for an audio copy of The Single Dad by Marni Mann. I don't think I have ever read her before and I'm boo hooing over it because this was so great. Great storyline, great steam!

When I saw another Dalton Brothers release coming out, I knew I was going to jump on it! But this book is so good, it was nonstop listen from start to finish. Could it be the single dad and his incredible love for his daughter? Or the intense chemistry between Ford and Sydney? Or the delectable baking Sydney and Everly were doing? All in, this story is fun, spicy and heart tugging! Ford meets Sydney and the two have an incredible night. Sydney applies for the nanny position and now that she has put Everly first, the two begin their push pull to happiness. I think the best part of this series is the camaraderie between the brothers. The banter and advice makes me smile, and the love and support they have for one another is priceless. This is a fantastic addition to this series!

The narration of this book enhances the story! Tor Thom falls into character as Ford. He is a perfect fit with his smooth baritone and easily transition to Everly, a 4 year old girl! He brings the protectiveness and passion to the story in spades. Summer Morton creates Sydney with such a big heart, I would love to have her as my nanny! She is warm, loving and makes us feel it all throughout her performance. These two are a great team and made for an excellent listen!

Book 3 in the Dalton Brothers series- completely works as a stand alone.

Ford is completely devoted to his daughter, Everly. He doesn't really date at all. He is afraid that Everly will be attached and things will end. Then he meets Sydney at a bar, and he can't resist. But Sydney also applied to be Everly's nanny. So, nanny or a shot at love? Because both aren't possible with the same person.

I was really looking forward to Ford's book. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was kind of disappointed. Ford has one trait- devoted dad. There is literally nothing else to his personality. The relationship between Sydney and Everly was super cute, but it was a bit too much of the book. Honestly, you could say Everly is the main character and Ford and Sydney just secondary.

I listened to the audiobook, which is mostly fine but I have a few thoughts/feelings. First of all, the narrators listed here and on other sites are wrong. It was narrated by Summer Morton and Tor Thom. Wayne Mitchell is noted for most, but that is not accurate. I wonder (assume) something was wrong with Wayne Mitchell's narration and it was redone by Tor Thom. I say this because I was given the opportunity to download an advance audio copy several months ago, but it was removed before I could download it (literally an hour or two after approval). I finally was able to download it the other day and now it is narrated by Tor Thom.

Anyway, I didn't put the whole narrator stuff together until I came to Goodreads to review the book. Then it clicked. Which is funny, because I honestly felt that Tor Thom wasn't a good fit for Ford. He sounds too old for Ford. I was also annoyed because he pronounced "Ev" as "Eve". I thought it was weird in the first chapter as Everly begins with a short e. Then we get to a Sydney chapter and Summer Morton read it as Ev. So then I was kind of annoyed and thinking that producers should really go over the pronunciation of main character's names. Then, when I put all the pieces together, I assume Tor Thom did this pretty quickly.

These are just random ramblings and assumptions. Overall, Summer Morton did a good job. Tor Thom was mostly fine- other than being too old for Ford in my head and saying Eve instead of Ev.

The book is good. I am just nitpicking and also just had an Aha moment, lol.

I received an audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

So there were issues the first time this book was listed, I downloaded it and it was immediately archived. I was annoyed, but they finally fixed it and I am so glad that I listened to it. It was probably the spiciest book that I have listened to. I was blushing the whole time.

Ford is a single dad who has somewhat given up dating so that he can be the best dad possible for Everly. When out one night, he meets Sydney and has the best night with her. When getting up the next morning, she is trying to leave so she does not have a run in with Everly, but she does and Everly really connects with Sydney. Later on, Ford is interviewing people to be Everly's nanny and the final candidate is Sydney. He gives Sydney a choice, him or Everly, and she picks Everly. The sexual tension between Ford and Sydney is insane and he is worried that he will not be able to keep his hands off her.

This was archived before I could listen to it. Submitting a review because I’m not taking the hit to my review percentage for that.

Edit 11/13: I noticed this was back on the app so I listened to it. 4 stars, I love the single dad/nanny trope so I knew I would probably like it. There was no 3rd act breakup, loved that, just something difficult they worked through together!

Ford eats 🐱like a starving man god damn.

I am so happy I waited for the audiobook before I read this. It was everything. This story is everything. I love this family and their family stories. The only audiobook to ebook differences I saw were in Chapter 18.

You’ll love Sydney, Ford, and adorable little Everly. Spicy as ever and the narration was perfect. I always love Summer Morton as a narrator and Marni Man’s writing style.

Read this series!

What can I possibly say about this book other than it's freaking amazing!!!!!! I have loved each brother more and more with each book! How could Sydney not fall in love with Everly, first off, she is the cutest little girl ever. Ford & Sydney though, off the charts hotness. Ford has only ever been focused on the love of his daughter and never put himself first, until he finds a complete stranger willing to do the same thing. Ford, Sydney & Everly are meant to be. Absolutely loved this book and can not wait to read more in this family. The narrators did a phenomenal job!!

I am so excited daddy Fords book is finally here! We get the back story on how Ford became this amazing single dad to Everly, who is the cutest little girl! Him and his brothers are wildly successful lawyers and all so dang hot!

Everly is all pink everything, loves the outdoors and adventure, is too smart for her own good, and has an incredible support system around her that showers her in love. But, she is in is need of a Nanny.

Sydney is a past au pair and back in LA to get her degree in education. She loves kids, is beyond amazing with them and the perfect fit for the job. Except her and Ford meet at a bar and hit it off from the second their eyes connect. Sydney has to choose Ford or Everly.

Sydney is perfect for Everly in every way, but she’s also perfect for Ford. Fords reservation on what if something happens and the fear of Everly being left is what keeps them apart. The tensions are high and the heat is higher when they collide.

Im quickly realizing that single dad is a top trope for me. Especially when he has the love, care and attentiveness that Ford does. Just swoon! There was nearly no drama in this book just the push and pull and desire but putting Everly first. The twist wasn’t expected at all but so perfect and made me love these three even more.

These Daltons are all expectations and more. I’ve loved this series and so glad to see Marni is gracing us with TWO more books, The Intern and The Bachelor, because I don’t want to leave them yet.

I really enjoyed this book - The narrator was new to me but was easy to listen to.

I adore all the Dalton brothers and Ford was no exception.
Ford - super hot single dad is in need of a Nanny for his 4 year old Everly ( who is adorable perfection in this book.) Insert Sydney! I freaking loved this story so much. It was fun, witty, full of love, friendship and angst. The banter was perfect!

I received this book and then received an email from Dreamscape that the audio was being taken off NetGalley and would be reuploaded at a later date. But to date I've gotten no notice that it has been. So I cannot listen or review it! I was very much looking forward to this one and hope it does get reuploaded at some point.

The thing I like about this author is that the third act conflict is never what you expect! I honestly was slightly annoyed about the unnecessary conflict an early decision would make but boy was I wrong! And I love being surprised.
The book was also really sexy although repetitive, and even though the female narrator was amazing, the male narrator really took me out of the story with his female/child voices…
It was a fun fast paced sexy book though so if you are looking for some light smut, this is it

Could not read the male narrator was AWFUL. Whenever he did a female voice they were nasal and valley girl. I'm sure the story is fine, but narrator ruined it.

Ford is my FAVORITE Dalton Brother. LOVED this one so much. Everly is a sweetheart. Sydney and Ford, the chemistry leaped off the pages .I laughed, I cried, and fanned myself from the hawtness that is Ford Dalton. If I had to complain about anything the guy narrator's voice for Everly was slightly cringe-ish but the story itself was so good that I can look over that. Any book that can make me feel and cry automatically gets 5 stars from me.

Thank you to netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book was archived on the same day I received approval from the publisher so I was not able to download , listen or review. I enjoyed listening to the first two audio books in this series and was really looking forward to listening to The Single Dad. Just a suggestion it would have been helpful to give at least a weeks notice before having the book available - to archive date - ( just a few day and 2 being weekend days - I’m sure the publisher might not have taken that into consideration)

The thrill of attraction with the burn of emotion. From steamy entanglements to heartbreaking upsets, The Single Dad serenaded the heart with electricity that leaves behind a heated soul.

This was a SUPER spicy, dual POV, single dad/nanny, forbidden romance with a ton of heat and heart. I loved Ford and what a stand up Dad he was and the chemistry between him and Sydney, the woman he hires as a nanny for his four year old daughter, was OFF THE CHARTS HOT!! Great on audio and highly recommended for fans of authors like Max Monroe or Kayley Loring. The third in the Dalton Brothers series, this book does work as a standalone. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!! I will be binging the other books in this series pronto!!
