I read a Christmas Spark last year and had been waiting for the next book in the series to come out.

I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers romance between Cade and Kelsey. The banter and chemistry between them lit my ears on fire (since this was the audiobook form), and I was fully up for it. I wish that it was dual POV so we could know what was going on in Cade's head. I laughed and fully enjoyed my commute to and from work thanks to this book.

just incredible, i'm a big fan of the childhood rivals to lovers trope so this book was just up my alley. i loved kelsey's journey back to her roots & reconnecting with the pieces of herself she'd lost though out the years. it was incredibly difficult not to fall in love with cade. he's charming, handsome & so protective of kelsey. the tension, the chemistry, the pranks!! it was just such a fun read. the narrator did a phenomenal job of bringing this book to life. i don't have enough words to express how much I loved it.

This audiobook was perfect. I've read That Fine Line preciously and was excited to see it was an audiobook. The narrator did an amazing job. This story is the best enemies to lovers. Kade and Kelsey have been pranking eachother since 2nd grade. They stopped after high school but spending one summer together and all gloves are off. Their pranks are hilarious and Kade helps her realize her fancy fiancee and life in California may not be what she wants after all.

Cindy Steel's 'That Fine Line' was an enjoyable romantic comedy. The story starts with Kelsey returning to her hometown of Eugene for one last summer before she gets married and moves to Santa Cruz with her husband. She has decided to come back since she misses her hometown and her dad needed help on the farm and the ranch. We get flashback glimpses of Kelsey in the 2nd grade and how she ends up starting a war, inadvertently, with Cade. All through elementary school, middle school and high school, Cade and Kelsey prank each other to no end. Kelsey went off to college in the big city and became more serious away from home and the pranks. With her return, she starts to notice how her boyfriend has this idea of her that isn't really her and that she enjoyed being at home and living surrounded by people who knew and loved her. Kelsey also gets stuck working on the ranch with her nemesis, Cade, during the summer and she starts to notice that she gradually likes him more and more. Eventually she finds out he's always loved her and she reciprocates. She breaks off her engagement and quickly decides to marry Cade instead. It was a very quick ending for me but I enjoyed the pranks and teasing. It was a fun read.

Witty and interesting! This book pulls me in from the very start! The characters are so well done and developed. It is believable, honest and real. And at the same time being sweet and swoony! Well done!

the narrator was great and easy to follow. her voices for various characters were well done!

this story had fun moments and lots of potential. i loved the prank wars between kelsey and cade starting in elementary school and lasting into adulthood. it made for great banter and chemistry between the hero and heroine. the small town setting and forced proximity were an added bonus. however, the rest of the story was overshadowed by kelsey’s relationship with her fiancé and his incessant body shaming. it just pulled me out of the book. the romance between cade and kelsey happened way too fast especially after all that kelsey had just ended with her fiancé. it gave me whiplash so this story fell in the middle of the road for me.

thank you to netgalley and dreamscape media for an alc. my thoughts are my own.

Such a sweet romance!! I received the audiobook from NetGalley (Thank you!!) and listened while I cleaned this past weekend. It was just the kind of book I've been looking for lately. It's a great romance and not one that I have to turn down the volume when my kids walk in the room. I like romance but don't really care for the spice, expecially when that becomes the focus of the story. I like ROMANCE. The flirting, and in this case, the pranks. The characters are all likable (even then ones you don't care for as much like Parker's mom lol) and I like to see strong family and friendship bonds. I found myself talking to Kelsey to help her make the right decision. I think she heard me because she came around in the end. As soon as I finished this book, I searched to see if there were others because I really wanted to read about Tess and Logan AND guess what?? There's a book for them too and I immediately purchased it.

I listened to this audiobook by @dreamscape_media and loved every second of it. The narrator had an amazing voice and she gave life and laughter to Kelsey exactly how I envisioned her. Cannot recommend this audiobook enough! Thanks @netgalley for the ARC.

This was an enjoyable story for so many reasons. The wit and banter of enemies who turn lovers was endearing. Cade seemed to recognize how he felt much sooner than Kelsey did, but that's because she was so intent on moving away from home. Only, when she did move away, coming back to plan her wedding reminded her that home is where the heart is, and she'd definitely left hers back in the town she grew up in.

I loved seeing Kelsey's blossoming awareness of how the things she thought she wanted as a child no longer matched up with what she really wanted as an adult. It takes a lot to admit that sometimes, and it was a struggle for Kelsey. But once she did, her path forward was clear and led her straight into the arms of the man who had been the center of her focus for so many years.

Thank you to Cindy Steel, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advance review copy!

Absolutely loved it. Fantastic read! Cindy Steel is so good at humor and banter and I love the stories she weaves. Her characters are relatable and funny. Just an overall enjoyable experience

Let me start by saying that’s I’m on a major book hangover. I have more audiobooks to listen to but I’m still basking the glow of Kelsey and Cades romance. If Enemies to Lovers is one of your favorite tropes you’ll definitely love this one. Kelsey is actually home to plan her wedding to her fiancé and spend one last summer working on the ranch. But Cade comes in like a wrecking ball ready to pick up the prank and teasing just like the old days. Kelsey convinced she’s put those things behind her and she’s all grown up now but can she keep he path she’s on or will she want one final revenge.
This book isn’t just a love story it’s so much more like figuring out who you truly are in life and who you want to be. Staying up for yourself when things aren’t right. There’s lots of humor, fun, & pranks to be had. I like Kelsey and love her growth in the story. Cade is fun and dreamy the best book boyfriend. The narrator did a wonderful job felt so immersed in he world of small town ranch life. I wanted to be there myself. Thanks at netgalley and dreamscape for the Opportunity to this amazing book.

I really enjoyed this book. It's my first by Cindy Steel and it won't be my last.
This book is full of great tension, pranks and there are parts that had me laughing out loud. I felt like I was watching a really good Hallmark movie with a touch of Netflix (make sense?)
Pick it up in any format. I really enjoyed the narration with the audiobook.
Troupes:
-Enemies to lovers
-Character Growth
-Slow burn (closed door) but awesome chemistry
-Love triangle (nothing angsty though)
-Romcom

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’m coming to realize I LOVE cowboy type romances. This one was a chefs kiss. It’s the type of story you know the ending to but it doesn’t matter. The characters were so lovable. Childhood enemy turned lover in this story where Kelsey returns home for the summer to be on the ranch before she ties the knot. Come to realize her childhood enemy Cade is working for her dad for the summer. LET THE PRANK WAR BEGIN. The war had begun again and she begins to realize the life she though she wanted with her fiancé isn’t what she wants at all. The pranks, the hidden feelings for one another and a moment of realizing she wants a different life is just a story you can’t hate. Thank you to #NetGalley and #Dreamscapemedia for allowing me access to this story. #ThatFineLine #bookstagram #bookreview 📚

Kelsey returns home to her family's farm/ranch for one last summer. She recently graduated college and is planning her wedding, along with a move to California. Once home, she is struggling to make wedding decisions. The more time she spends at home, the more she questions what she really wants.

This was a cute, funny read. While I liked the pranks at first, I began to feel like it was overdone and repetitive. But overall, a cute story.

I listened to the audiobook. Stefanie Kay narrated it. Her inflection as she read kind of got on my nerves.

Single POV, clean romance

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I originally read this novel when it first came out and enjoyed it. I have been wanting to do a reread and when I saw the audiobook version, I jumped at the chance to listen to it. I loved the narrator and the way she brought Kelsey to life. In fact, in my original read of the book I didn't connect as much to her, but I found myself more engaged through the audiobook version.
My original review may be found on Goodreads at https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3941424810
I highly recommend the audiobook and feel like this is one I will come back to again and again in this format specifically.
Thank you to the audiobook publisher and Netgalley for the advance listening copy.

“That Fine Line” was made for me. Hi, I live in Idaho, I have a small farm, I love romcoms filled with witty banter. Need I say more? (Ok, since this is a review, I’ll say more).

I was so excited to receive this audiobook for free from NetGalley, in exchanged for an honest review. My expectations were high just from the synopsis and Cindy Steel did not disappoint!

Kelsey, engaged and soon to be married, heads home for one last summer on the ranch in rural Idaho. Her fiancé, who she met at university, is waiting for her in California while trying to bully and micromanage Kelsey to death, especially on all things wedding related. The “mother-in-law to-be” is just as bad, if not worse.

Now, back to the ranch. Cade, Kelsey’s long time nemesis from high school is working at the ranch, unbeknownst to Kelsey. What was supposed to be a productive but relaxing summer has turned into a summer full of hijinks and mayhem.

I adored Cade. He was such a fun character and really brought out the best in Kelsey. I was literally laughing out loud and the pranks and teasing that was going on between them. I couldn’t put this book down, I flew through it and my final thoughts are “but is there more 🥹”

Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys romcoms, cute relationships, enemies to lovers, and beautiful rural locations.

I loved this book when it came out. I also love audiobooks. When I heard it was coming out as an audiobook I was really excited. A narrator can make or break a book and this narrator I felt was right on with the tone of the book.

Now to the content. This book is so fun! Cade and Kelsey have been prank rivals since they were in grade school. Kelsey is done with that and moved on to bigger and better things. She left her family farm and went to college, got engaged to someone driven, and is going to live the big city life. But first, she wants one last summer on the farm. As she finds her footing once again on the farm, she remembers why she loved it so much. While determined to remain dignified and above pranking, one thing leads to another and she finds herself in another prank war with Cade. At the end of the summer does she want the farm life or the city life?

This book was so fun, but also deep. Kelsey confronts body image, the opinions of others, her view of what is successful, and finding her true self. I loved all the banter and fun. My favorite part was her dad’s observation of her and the motivation behind his actions at the end.

Loved this one! It’s great in paperback, kindle, and audiobook form. I’ve read them all!

There is a reason I don’t read a ton of YA anymore these days. It’s hard to relate to someone half my age, and while that’s not quite the age difference with “That Fine Line” I did find it hard to relate to our 22-year-old heroine, Kelsey. She just seemed so young and immature — while written as a college graduate, she felt more high school to me. I think this story would be enjoyed by someone who enjoys a younger heroine and hero, and who finds some of those high school and college hijinks and pranks to be fun. Lots of fun tropes in this as well —we’ve got going back to the childhood farm, a fiancé in the “big city,” the childhood enemy in forced proximity, etc.

I requested this audio back when I first signed up for Netgalley in August and when the publication date hit and i hadn't received anything about it I thought better luck next time. Then came Monday 9/26th I get an email from the publisher with an approval and boy am I ever happy it came through. This is hands down one of my favorite audiobooks to date. I absolutely loved this. I sometimes have a heard time with audiobooks- the narrator really makes them or breaks them for me and Stephanie Kay is definitely on my list of favs after listening to this. I loved the main character ( and not just because we share the same first name, but that definitely doesn't hurt LOL), i loved Cade, the whole ranch crew, I rarely find romance novels that have very little steam involved that hold my interest but this is one of them I could not stop listening to and looked forward to putting my ear buds in any chance I got to listen. I've already added the remainder of Cindy's books to my TBR!

I will say this isn’t a book that is going to change your life. It’s a cute fun & funny enemies to lovers, but it’s nothing groundbreaking or super memorable. If you’re looking for a light-hearted book to read, I would steer you towards this one. I highly recommend this one as an audiobook, I finished it in a day. This is definitely an author I would look for in the future when I need something to break up the heavier fantasy & thriller reads I’m more used to.
