A book that teaches children its OK to not want to be touched and that adults should never pressure them into it. Lots of useful and important information told in a story that also features colourful and bright illustrations. Definitely a good message in this one.

Where Hands Go is a great book to teach kids boundaries when it comes to their bodies. The book gives 10 simple rules for children to follow, and leaves room for discussion so parents can explain more sensitive subjects in detail according to the child’s level of understanding. This is a helpful book to have on hand to use with a variety of ages.

Where Hands Go is a good book to introduce the concept of personal body safety. The rhyming text and cute illustrations make it very kid friendly. I also like the parent resource section in the back and the provided questions to ask your child to start conversations. Sexual abuse is a tough topic to discuss with young children, so I love that this book is all about empowerment.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the colors of the text sometimes blended in with the illustrations which made it hard to read. Other than that it was a great book!!

This beautifully written and illustrated book is a must read to any parent with young children. Teach your children the do’s and don’t’s about body safety.
The author portrays her message really well.

I am always looking for new books for my niece and this is a really good one.

I love how it is helping educate kids on what is appropriate for them to do with their hands in a way that they can understand.

Also, the graphics are so cute

Where Hands Go, Such a small little book with an incomprehensible importance.
I’ll preface this by saying that i’m a csa survivor, and these books were never a part of my childhood as my abusers were my birthparents.
If i had found these books in a school library, a DAYCARE library, my life would look so much different than it does.
Every child should know the meaning of this book, this series. It’s so important from the moment they can comprehend sentences, to know the difference between a good touch and a bad touch, a good secret and a bad secret. These little differences can save lives.
Aside from the brilliant story with very age appropriate yet forward language, the parent notes and references at the end are AMAZING. As important as it is for kids to know these things, parents being informed is the very first step.
I recommend this to every parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher, preschool assistant, etc.
Buy this book for your kids, teach them the 10 rules, and be open to questions, contemplate your answers, create a safe space for your children to ask questions and feel safe to come to you about ANYTHING, even the hardest stuff, it could save their life.
