I unfortunately could not get into this story. It wasn’t what I expected. The title/description sounded intriguing, but there wasn’t much depth to the story. I liked the grumpy/sunshine aspect, but it was just hard to get into.

“Tell me what it’s like to be a chicken farmer…”

After the high drama and brutal first book in the series it was a pleasant surprise to discover Brick’s story was less intense and that Brick himself is actually charming and amusing. The last thing I ever expected is the club VP to be hiding his cut! Callie was also a treat and the two of them are the biggest asset in this book. It picks up just a few months after the last book ended and while it can be a standalone there are some things that you will miss if you haven’t read the Biker’s Plaything first. My biggest complaint is the book is way too short and I felt parts were rushed but otherwise this is a fun book.

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. I love everything Sam Crescent does anyway so it was a no-brainer for me. I love a good love story and this one fit the bill. I loved most that she didnt judge him.

Being part of a MC, Brick goes into town and meets Callie who is unaware that he’s a part of this biker club. He’s not relationship material normally, but tries with Callie. This was a shorter read, with spice. Since I love MC books I couldn’t wait to start it. I just wish it was longer when it got good.

I received this ARC through the publisher and I am voluntarily reviewing this book, opinions are my own

Spicy and quick read. I am hit and miss on motorcycle gang stories but I enjoyed this one. The writing was well done and story flowed nicely.

Callie and Brick

Another steamy biker romance by Sam Crescent and Stacey Espino! Callie is a sweet, innocent girl who is treated poorly by everyone around her, even her own family. Even through all this negativity, she manages to keep positive and that's one of the things that attracts bad boy biker, Brick.

Brick goes into town to get some supplies and meets Callie. They hit it off right away, but she doesn't know that he's a part of the local MC. Brick likes that Callie sees just him and not the patch and all the danger that comes along with the club. Will she still accept him when she discovers that he wasn't completely truthful with her? With outside dangers and threats closing in, he will have to make some difficult descions where he and Callie are concerned.

This was a good biker romance with many layers to the story. Very enjoyable and you can't help but to root for the main characters to find their happily ever after together.

I received a free copy of this book from Evernight Publishing via Netgalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and Evernight Publishing for this ARC.

I thought this book was really good, I loved the storyline but I felt it just ended suddenly. And it just left me confused - are Brick and Callie getting another story?

This was a quick and fast paced read. I thought the secret was going to be more serious then what it was. I died laughing about it. I didn't really care for the book, it could have been so much better.

I enjoyed the book a lot and look forward to more in the series. The ending was kind of a letdown, would like to have more closure.

Callie and Brick are drawn to each other the moment they met. Brick hides the fact that he is in an MC because he likes how she looks at him so trustingly. Callie’s life has never been easy. She is a bit naive and is a people pleaser. She is easy to forgive which is a good thing for Brick.

I was a tad confused on the end because she was suggesting a plan to get information from her old boss, but this book doesn’t contain any information about that. Maybe the next book?

This was a meh read. Didn’t hate it, didn’t love it. What you see is what you get. There wasn’t much depth to it.

I solely picked this up because of the title only to be let down. We barely got any MC in this book. Even though that’s what the secret was- Brick in the MC 😞

I tried not to skim, but nothing was really doing it for me- even the sex scenes. Kinda felt how Callie felt:

Hungry. Bored. Tired.

Biker’s Dirty Little Secret opposites attract story about Callie and Brick. They meet at Callie’s job and Brick is instantly attracted. Callie is young, insecure, living on her own and hiding from past. Brick is the VP of the Straight to Hell MC and has never been in a serious relationship. Callie’s lack of confidence and Brick’s surprise at wanting a relationship made an unlikely couple. Each with their own secrets. I thought there would be more heat, but nonetheless I enjoyed the story. If you are looking for a quick read, involving a MC this is for you.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and Evernight Publishing in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are my own and not solicited in any way.

Callie has been the underdog since she was born. Her family is addicts and thieves. Her grandmother raised her and when she died, she was heartbroken and homeless. Callie’s mother threw her out of the trailer she was raised in. She lives in a crappy apartment and works at a worse job. Callie meets Brick when he comes in to get supplies for a chicken coop. She thinks Brick is a chicken farmer but he is the vice president of a motorcycle club. Brick knows that Callie is different and when she is hurt, he moves her in to keep her safe. Can Brick protect her and find the rat in the clubhouse?

I loved this story until the end. To me it seems like a cliffhanger at the end. Sex. Action. Bikers.

The Biker’s Dirty Little Secret by Sam Crescent & Stacey Espino

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2

Well written biker romance. Love seeing Callie not be model gorgeous and have self doubt. The reassurance from Brick is wonderful to see. Mild spice scenes nothing crazy or dark. It flows well with enough drama to keep you intrigued.

The Biker's Dirty Little Secret isn't nearly as dirty as one would hope. The book follows Brick, VP of the Straight to Hell MC, a hardened man who falls for the innocent Callie - a woman with secrets of her own.

Though marketed as erotica, this book has less steam than many of the mainstream romance books currently gracing shelves. The storyline felt rushed and the characters flat. There was no chemistry between Callie and Brick and nothing to recommend them as a couple.

Honestly, it's not gonna win any awards. But, if you're looking for something fast with a moderate level of heat, then this is the book for you.

Callie tries to be happy and positive despite her constant bad luck. When she meets Brick, she thinks she’s won the jackpot with him. But he’s keeping secrets and shielding her from the truth. He knows he messed up but he only wanted her to look at him with trust, not fear.

Sweet MC romance. Not super memorable in my opinion. Didn’t care for Brick at times.

When he first starts meeting Callie, Brick doesn't disclose to her that he belongs to an MC club. This was an extremely short read that kept me turning pages. Everyone is on guard because a different MC group poses a threat and it appears like Brick's club has a rat in it. The rat, who? When Callie learns the truth about Brick, what will she do? I adored it and am eagerly awaiting the next book!

Brick is used to people seeing his ink and cut and being judged. He’s proud to be VP of Straight to Hell MC, but when he meets Callie and she doesn’t immediately recognize him as a biker, it’s nice to just be a man for once. Callie has been dealt a hard hand in life, but she’s hardworking and kind and she and Brick manage to find joy in each other. Secrets can never stay hidden for long, though. Can they trust each other with who they really are?

This is an interesting look into the world of motorcycle clubs, but it’s hard to get past some of the casual misogyny. Some women are treated as little more than amenities at the clubhouse and it’s implied that women who are worthy of respect only have sex in very controlled conditions, dictated by the men in their lives. As erotica, the intimate scenes were abundant and inventive, but the controlling, prescriptive judgments about women cast a pall over what otherwise could have been an enjoyable “opposites attract “romance.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review.
