Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book!

I have all of Neil Pasricha's books including the Journal of Awesome. I absolutely love reading about all the simple joys in life and how they can bring happiness, even if its just for a moment. The pandemic affected all of us so deeply and this book is a wonderful reminder of the joy that is still out there in this world. There are some things in the book that I agreed with, other things that I laughed at and some that I hadn't even thought of!

This book is a wonderful reminder, that even in the hardest of times, a small gesture or token can bring a smile to someone's face. Even if its there just for a moment.

Honestly, I love Neil Pasricha's books so much! I find them comforting and something about going through the pages feels like a warm hug. And Our Book of Awesome, his latest release, was no exception. Perhaps my favourite nugget of awesomeness {!!} was when the Jeopardy categories line up with your interests! But there are so many great ones in here.

Thank you for an early review copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read in exchange for an honest review.

Butter soft enough to spead on toast. Opening a fruit cup without selling juice everywhere. Making eye contact ad a show of solidarity with a parent while their child is throwing a tantrum. These are just some awesome things in life. Another awesome thing? This book! Take a moment, open at random, and settle in to smile over something relatable. AWESOME!

This book appeals to me so much. This compilation brought such a smile to my face. It gives a tiny insight into what the person was thinking at that one moment in time. Since the pandemic, I have begun to look for simple things in my life that make me smile. It has helped with my stress levels. It has encouraged me to make note of these awesome things in my life:

Turning on my Christmas tree lights

Reading a book in my nook

Gathering eggs from our chickens

Walking in the forest

If you need to sway your pendulum to the positive, don’t hesitate to add this book to your cart. It is cheaper than therapy.

Thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada, Simon & Schuster & Net Galley for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

I realize this is OUR Book of Awesome, but I didn't love the random comments sections though. Personally found they didn't add anything to the book.

I skimmed most of the book because lots of things weren't relatable 🤷🏻‍♀️some parts were a great pick me up & made it a great reminder about some wonderful things in life.

Thanks to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster Canada for an advance copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Nodding my head in agreement, laughing to myself to many times to count and seeing the connection we all have to things that might seem mundane and irrelevant. Awesome! If you know you know ;)

“In a world that is often overwhelming, it’s time to return to the simple things, the AWESOME things, all around us…if only we take a moment to see them.”

I read once, that you have to encounter three positives to nullify a negative.

This book will neutralize a TONNE of hot garbage.

Neil Pasricha’s first two books were similar to this one. Bite-sized essays, detailing one awesome thing after another.

This book is no different, except that he’s opened up the comment section of his blog, and shared with us some great reader extras.

“Picking the right thing to unplug out of the mysterious power bar full of wires.”

“When your friend returns your book and they actually read it.”

“Putting a couple things on your to-do lists just so you can cross them off.”

This book has over 400 pages of awesome.

That’s a lot of crap-busting.

8/10

Thanks to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster for this, dare I say it?, awesome ARC.

I loved The Book of Awesome - the first one-by Neil Pasricha but Our Book of Awesome is truly way more awesome! I chuckled, smiled and full out laughed at the randomness of awesome ‘entries’. Rather than try to read through this in a single go, I choose to read only a few pages at a time. Each time I picked it up, I found myself feeling excited with anticipation of what descriptions of awesome were waiting to be revealed…..AWESOME!
Thank You to Simon & Schuster Canada, NetGalley and Neil Pasricha for the opportunity to preview this ARC.
