The miscommunication plot of why they aren't together romance is always a hard one for me to wrap my head around but this story has a more dramatic reasoning than the usual and I am not sureif it makes it better or worse.
Noah and Alda have been apart for 4 years and whilst it takes no time at all for them to reconnect, they have their issues to work out and this is played out within the plot line of them re-writing Noah's book, based on their love story, for a movie. it is a great way for them to work in all those conversations but the whole book felt a little rushed and very short

This is my first book by this author with a blurb that had me intrigued. The book didn't grab my attention as I expected it to. I found it quite slow and even took time away hoping my feelings would change. Part of my issue was I ever really connected with Alda and Noah maybe if we had been given more chapter of their past and not just little snippets it would have helped. My main problem was I had built up this big reason for their separation and so when it was finally revealed I found it very underwhelming. At the end I am not sure who if either of them should have grovelled but felt the years they weren't together and the pubic's perception of Alda kind of glossed over and would have liked more scenes with their issues explored in greater depth.

This is Alda and Noah’s story. They both had heartbreak in the lives, and there is more in the story than either side knew. But Noah took his heartbreak and wrote about it. It was then turned into a movie, convincing every woman in America that the female MC was a cold hearted witch. So what if it was based on his ex that he can’t get out of his head?

This is the classic miscommunication trope, but a little extra. They didn’t just miscommunicate, they didn’t communicate at all. This was also a second chance romance, because honestly they just didn’t sound mature enough to be in a good stable relationship when they were younger (which they are young, they aren’t mature. They just weren’t ready)

Honestly, this one just took me a while to read. It didn’t have me hooked, and I kept going back to it. The storyline was good, but there was some phrasing that threw me. During some smutty scene there were was used to describe it that I was just like, oh. Ok.

Kissing A Writer is a second chance romance that was emotional and gave all the feels. This was Noah and Alda's story, college sweethearts who were madly in love with each other but ended up separated because of a misunderstanding. The story was well written and the rekindled relationship between Alda and Noah was relatable and you will be rooting for them as the story progressed. These two star crossed lovers had amazing chemistry and scorching hott steamy scenes however they were both complex characters with their own baggage and had alot of work to do to resolve their problems and I loved that their issues weren't just brushed aside. This was a swoon-worthy romance about overcoming heart break and the author gave us a satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed and would recommend it to lovers of second chance romance.

I craved to tell her all the things that were wonderful about her every hour of the day….

Alda and Noah’s story in Kissing a Writer is a beautifully written, contemporary romance that will break your heart and then put it back together again. A misunderstanding drove them apart until one day in a city of millions they find each another again. The love is still there but without facing what split them up first time around, how can they ever begin to trust one another again. Their story is both angsty and steamy in equal measure as our hero and heroine strive to make their chance at love work second time around and give them the happy ending they deserve.

There is a depth to Shani Haim’s writing that is surprising considering this is only her third book. Her characters are well rounded and you actually care what happens to them with a fantastic flow to her stories where you can lose yourself. This is definitely an author where I can’t wait to read what she releases next.

This is a beautiful, yet heartbreaking story of love and second chances. The two main characters are both writers who broke up when life got in the way and then was complicated by misunderstandings and pride. When they meet again several years later, Noah has achieved success by writing about their story while Alda has lost her motivation to write.

Events keep drawing them back together and they're unable to resist their chemistry and natural attraction. But will life get in the way again or can they find a way to work through things this time around?

This was a touching and heartfelt read. A second chance romance in which the main characters delve deeply into their issues and the reasons for their separation in the first place. Nothing was brushed aside. All of their emotional wounds were ripped open as they worked through their problems, and the character growth and development was incredible.

If you're looking for a swoon-worthy second chance romance where you can feel the deep emotional bond between the two main characters. Then this is the book for you.

This is my first book by this talented author, but it will not be my last. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. There are some fantastic side characters who I can't wait to learn more about.
