Wolf stock burn is a rough and tumble Wells Fargo guard with his trademark sombrero we find him this time waiting for the train that he knows is going to be robbed and although on the first go round he saves the passengers their belongings and the pricey cows that the outlaws wanted to get their hands on. It would’ve been a successful counter measure if not for the second group of gangsters and their sneak attack. It is the second group of gangsters that leads him to Violet and her paw but when he runs across the goal minor and his daughter the gun play isn’t over and then violets Pa will be killed and this is why the half Comanche violet is determined to help him bring the outlaws down for wolf it’s the principle for Violet it’s all about revenge. I received this from Netgalley.com.

Fourth in series, Wolf is back protecting the railways and chasing down the bad guys. I really liked learning more about Wolf and his background story.

Another great entry in the Wolf Stockburn series, it was what I wanted based on the previous books of the series. I enjoyed the use of the Western elements and was what I was expecting. The characters were what I enjoyed from previous entries. Max O'Hara has a great way of creating a good western world.

"The company was waiting for me to finish up my last assignment, which found me in Mexico. Took me awhile to get back. When I did, I found a telegram from the home office waiting for me at Western Union in Las Cruces.”
“No rest for the wicked, eh?” Vincent grinned then his face crumpled into a sour expression."

Mixing up the genres I read but this was not disappointing at all. Great story, action and kept me turning the pages! Will recommend to family and friends.
