This is a great addition to the series. Siobhan is such a good character. I admire her dedication to her family, and watching her develop into a grown woman has been such fan.
An Irish style cook off is happening in their small village, but we all know something will go horribly wrong, and Siobhan and her new husband will investigate and solve the case.
This was a fun story to read, the case was cunning and the author wove an amazing story.
I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.

Sometimes a series losing steam after the love interest of the main character gets resolved. However, in this case, the marriage of Siobhan and Macdara enhances the story and adds humor. These books seems so authentically Irish to me in dialect and description but having only visited Ireland twice I know that is my own assumption.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

I love O'Connor's Irish Village series with Siobhan and her husband Macdara in a charming (but deadly) town in Ireland. She writes with such fluidity that from page one to the last I feel at home, and events merge and make sense so the story is easy to follow. It is like dropping into Ireland for a bit.

A baking contest is being held at the local Irish Bakery. People are coming from all around to participate and watch. It is being filmed as part of a reality-tv show. The requisite murder takes place and it is up to Siobhan and her husband to solve it - while the producers keep filming. Is it a rivalry murder? An outsider?

I can't say enough about this book - and this series. It is so engrossing that I always look at an Ireland travel guide when I finish as I so want to go visit County Cork. I just love them.
