I was drawn to this book because I love to read about telephone operators. It always seems like such an interesting occupation. This really wasn't the book for me, though. At times I liked the heroine, though overall I struggled to connect with her. And I really didn't understand why there were anecdotes from her past relationships. The writing was done well, I just didn't connect with the story.

A sweet, entertaining, and compelling historical romance set in the 60s. I liked the characters, rooted for them, and the plot was well developed.
