I didn’t think I was going to like All This Time at first. Not sure why but it took me a little while to get into the story, but when I did I couldn’t put it down. I loved the story of 2 people with difficult backgrounds managing to heal. The cancer storyline was done well and made me feel quite sad. I liked the 2 main characters and their romantic storyline was everything you would want it to be; I adored Garrett. I couldn’t put this book down.

I love small town romances and this was no exception. Big city to simple life is one of the most common romance tropes but I'm here for it! The saddest part was her Mum, but it was nice to see her reconnecting with other family members.

The love triangle/best friend situation was a bit confusing, but the male love interest is sweet and a great book romance guy!

This was such a beautiful story! It had tough topics of love, loss and grief. I really enjoyed reading about Sam and Garretts romance. They seemed doomed from the start but it was beautiful to watch how they came together and overcame their struggles.

Samantha hasn't been back to her hometown in a long time, but now that her mother is ill, she's there to care for her.
Gararret is attempting to distance himself from Samantha as his feelings violate the friendship code. Given the circumstances, Garret made the decision to assist Samantha. This book's journey is pleasant and healing. I love the winter setting because it creates a sense of cosiness. I loved the flash forward at the end, seeing how things will be in the future. It's lovely to see, and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I absolutely loved this book! All This Time is a poignant and moving story about coming home and facing the most difficult parts of the past we’ve run away from. Sam and Garrett are really developed characters and the book moved me to tears (more than once!). It’s a great book for the holiday season, or anytime really, and has a little bit of everything—well placed plot twists, steam, romance, and heart-wrenching family dynamics. I couldn’t put it down!

ARC REVIEW
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Looking for a small town romance with tropes galore? Look no further.

❄️ Sam left her home town of Brandywood with her long time boyfriend to live her dreams in New York. Now she’s back and dealing with even more drama than when she left, including one time “friend” Garrett.

Here’s what I loved:
❄️ this one went all in on the romance tropes. Not only is Garrett Sam’s ex-boyfriend’s best friend but he is also the ex-fiancé of her best friend. On top of that, Garrett left his fiancée the night before their wedding when he realized he had feelings for Sam (not that he told her though!!). I know, right?!?! I couldn’t wait for the fireworks as the two slowly came together. And I was not disappointed.

❄️Garrett. Loved him. He was smooth but also vulnerable. You can tell right away how much he feels for Sam.

❄️Sam and her journey. This book wasn’t only about Sam and Garrett getting together. It was also about Sam healing her relationship with her family and the town that shunned her for years.

❄️ Winter setting. The book takes place in late November and early December. It was a nice one to cozy up with as you felt they cold burst of air as the characters did.

❄️ epilogue flash forward. It was nice to see how the characters were settling in after the conclusion.

❄️ this is the first in a planned series and I honestly can’t wait to read book two. The side characters were all well planned out and I can see this going on for a while.

🔥 There were a few nice spicy scenes.

All in all, this was a nice small town read with a good amount of angst. Check TW for dealing with death.

Thank you to the publisher and author for an ARC book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a new to me author and I haven't read a small town Romance in a while so this was a good change of pace.

This is a story about Sam and Garrett and how they end up finding each other again in their home town called Brandywood.

Sam and Garrett are relatable main characters with the stuff they went through in their past which you can't help but feel for them.

Their really wasn't much that I didn't like except that it was over too quickly.

It does has some triggers in here but it doesn't distrust the main Story going on.

Highly recommended

First off, a very special thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing for providing me with this digital ARC of All this Time by Annabelle McCormack. I was so excited to have been approved to receive my first ARC.

Summary (no spoilers):
"All this Time" is a story about life, love, loss, and growth. It has all the essential pieces of a small-town romance. McCormack takes readers on a journey through the eyes of both Sam and Garrett. Both characters are superbly written, and their chemistry is natural. McCormack has the reader throw all preconceived notions out the window. This novel is more than just a romance, it shows life as it is, sometimes messy, sometimes painful, but totally worth it.

💫I give "All this Time" ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

💫I would have given it 5 stars, but there were moments for me that the story lagged just a bit and I found myself wanting to skip ahead. Other than that, it was a great easy read.

💫There are some explicit scenes (two I think), however, conservative readers or readers who prefer "closed door" books can just skip the scenes and still enjoy the book.

💫Trigger warnings: Domestic Violence, Foul Language, Cancer, Alcoholism

💫This book will definitely get you into the holiday spirit.

What a beautifully written book. It was emotional, but I loved reading about the characters real life issues and dealing with trust, love, and healing. Sam’s growth was the best part of this book. Such a great read! Definitely add to your holiday tbr list!

This book was so real and so messy. There was so much hurt Garrett and Sam experienced, past and present. They both had childhood trauma they had to work through and the author did a great job showing how it influenced them into adulthood too. I do wish I had seen more growth in their relationship but there was so much about this book to love.

Sam heads home to be there with her sister as she gives birth to her third child. While she is there her mother ends up in the hospital as well and suddenly Sam is rearranging her life and her work to spend the holidays in the hometown she couldn't get away from fast enough, The only bright spot is Garrett, her ex's best friend and her best friend's ex. Complicated is an understatement, It may seem like Sam and Garrett have always been in each other's lives but this is the first time they have really spent time with each other. They. get to really know each other and get a new perspective into their lives and. their pasts.

This was a book filled with flawed and often unlikeable characters, Every one of them is dealing with something and can often be selfish, or inflexible or narrow minded. Every one of them made decisions that has me shaking my head, They were realistic in their shortcomings which made watching them grow, and change and do better for themselves and each other all the more rewarding as a reader. There was a lot going on this book from past drama to present drama but it never felt overloaded, I am definitely excited to read the next book in the series.

Well, I have just finished All This Time by Annabelle McCormack, one of my favourite new authors (c. 2021) when I read Windswept. Although this title is so different (in good ways) than Windswept some things remain the same.

This book is full of family and friends - because what is a good book without those elements. And yet, how well do we truly know those people? Which leads to the second similar point: secrets. And oooh this book was full of them. Not just one little secret or miscommunication like so many contemporary romance novels, but a whole host of secrets that had a huge impact on the story and its characters.

McCormack has written a beautiful romance novel that will pull at your heart strings, make a perfect fall/winter read and maybe make you want to bake some cookies!

Sam heads home during a snowstorm to welcome her new baby niece to the family and it ends up being the first of many big moments over the course of the next 4 weeks as she reconnects with old friends, revisits her on and off again relationship and tries to reconnect with the hometown she's not sure if she wants to feel at home in. It's a beautiful story and I love the mother-daughter relationship, the complicated friendships and the struggles that Sam deals with every day in this book.

Sam is a lifestyle photographer who couldn’t get away from her small hometown fast enough. She returns home when her sister gives birth. Sam started out seeming a little unlikable and immature. Her character developed and by the end of the story I was rooting for her.

When I started this book, I thought it was good. There were some issues I noticed with the writing I thought might be attributed to a new writer. After a bit the pace picked up, I was hooked and didn’t notice the few things that caught my eye earlier. I even shed a few tears toward the end. I ended up really enjoying this book.

A perfect read to get in the mood for the upcoming holiday season!

As a huge fan of all things romance, this book checks all the boxes for me. A quaint small town setting, really great characters with real life problems, a bit of spice, a few plot twists, and finally a lovely ending.

The character development was really the best part of this quick read, especially that the author took the time to show several sides of each of them. Giving them both real life issues that need to be worked on, and not choosing to make them “cookie cutter perfect” really helped make this book even better.

I will definitely be checking into other and future work by Annabelle McCormack. And am very excited for the next book in the Brandywood series!

How can I start? I have no perfect words to describe how much I loved this book. Overall, I would give it a 4,5 stars and I will explain, in this review, why I don't felt like giving it 5 stars instead, even though it was REALLY close! I would describe this book not only as a romance book but also a book where you can see the main female character going through a healing proccess, with her, with her loved ones and everyone who cares about her. Growth is a really good point of this book, seeing the characters going through so many, different situations and feelings and how they overcome it. I feel like the main female character is always faced with situations of "if you're not happy in a situation, leave, go after your happiness" and "follow your dreams/goals". The writing??? Oh, let me tell you about it. It was SO easy to read this book, it's so well-written and, if english isn't your first language, you will have no trouble reading and understanding what's happening! And the whole topic of this book + writing made me want to read this whole book in just one sitting, even though I had lots of stuff to do! I liked how the mental health of some characters are brought up and how they deal with the decisions they need to make to feel better and how, sometimes, even if it hurts them, it's better to face them then to run. The plot twists? OH GOD! I wasn't expecting all of this! This is a roller coaster of a romance, there is always something happening that might let the relationship go forward or not. The only thing that made me not give this book 5 stars was the ending because I felt it was a little bit rushed, many things happening in such a short period of time but, as you can see for my rating, I didn't mind it THAT much. I liked it but I think a few more pages of things happening in between would have made it even better.

For anyone who might be interested in this book, I would suggest to read the TW before reading it since it has some sensitive topics and it might not be for everyone.

P.s: I checked the author's website and it seems there will be a second book!!! I'm so excited!!!

Sam has returned home for the birth of her sister's third baby but ends up facing much more than she bargained for. Her mother is ill, she ends a relationship, she's faced with demons from her past, and life as she knows it is flipped upside down. She has to decide if her feelings toward her past are rooted in truth or clouded by false judgments. There were some sweet moments and a nice slow-burn between the two main characters, but the tone and pace just didn't click for me. It felt jumpy and the first-person thoughts mixed in with the third-person POV threw me off. I found myself skimming towards the last 1/4 of the book and was ready for it to come to a resolution one way or another. And I didn't love that it seemed to be a slow pace throughout, then the last 10 pages or so were filled with unnecessary drama IMO. Overall, a nice story of second chances and returning home to your roots.
