A truly inspirational look at the men who flew the Mosquito during WW2, as well as a history on how the aircraft was designed and used during the war. The hardships and horrors faced by these men on a daily basis is a inspirational story on overcoming adversity. A great read.

Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A thoroughly enjoyable and interesting book detailing the history of 627 Squadron of the RAF during world war two.
The book explores the main people involved with the squadron, as well as detailing operations over Germany.
If you are interested in RAF operations or flying in general then this book is highly recommended!
Excellent, well worth a place on your bookshelf

The Wooden Wonder, the De Haviland Mosquito, has been a favourite of mine since childhood, I have read lots of the books available on the Mosquito and was intrigued with the authors new narrative of telling the story of the Mosquito through the experiences of one squadron.
I am pleased to say it works, a thoroughly enjoyable read, and even though I know a lot about the Mosquito, there were still some new things I learned through reading the book.
The author has intertwined the history of the Mosquito, with first hand accounts of the men of 627 squadron giving us an insight into some of the Mosquito crews missions and experiences, and from these why it became the wooden wonder and was loved by its crews.
An enjoyable read for not just aircraft buffs, there is a new perspective for fans of the Mosquito too.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book.
