I will admit I am a sucker for Katie Reus Red Stone Security series. The books are very predictable, with a simple structure quick action while introducing the characters in the story. readers will know who the bad guys and what they have done to make them evil. The good guys are always right there front and center. The stories are filled with sexy time, romance, fighting, action and two people looking for their partner in life.

Lana and Teague are fun to read with simple love story mixed into action, robbing and romance. Readers will love Lana and her reason for getting back at the bad guy.

Danger Rising can be read as a stand-alone or part of the series of Red Stone. Katie Reus knows her audience and what they expect from her, and they will not be disappointed.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of Danger Rising.

Danger Rising by Katie Reus.
Red Stone Security Series.
When Lana’s mom died, she was heartbroken. And when her mom’s business partner stole a priceless family heirloom, she vowed to get it back. The former thief has no problem taking what’s hers—except this time she ends up stealing more than she bargained for. Now Lana is in possession of dangerous information, the kind that could get her and anyone she cares about killed. When the man who broke her heart shows up offering to help—a man she thought was dead—she accepts. But only because she needs a trained partner to pull off her next job. And this time she’ll protect her heart at all costs. Teague already broke it once. She won’t let him in again, no matter how much he tempts her.
A brilliant read. I loved Lana and Teague and how they were together. Couldn't put it down. 5*.

Danger Rising (Red Stone Security Series Book 20) by Katie Reus is a great addition to the series
Another fast paced, exciting read.
Teague faked his death, and has been watching his love Lana from the shadows, until he returns when she is in danger.
This book was full for suspense and was fun to read.

Danger Rising,, book twenty in the Red Stone Security Series show this series is just as great as ever with no plans to slow down. By Katie Reus this story gives us Lana who is one tough determined woman with an unusual skill set. She is heartbroken over her mother’s death but also she is angry which causes her to be reckless.

Black Ops agent Teague is right there to suddenly help and protect her seemingly coming back from the dead. Their second chance story is full of suspense, danger, hot chemistry, and a love that never died only denied. Now it can be denied any longer but first Lana must survive the deadly forces after her. Teague is by her side making sure that happens.

Exciting read not to be missed by fans of the Red Stone Security Series and all readers of romance suspense.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love a good second chance romance and one that has mystery, suspense and drama as well just adds to the enjoyment. Lana is one tough lady. She has a lot going against her, but manages to make her way to the top of the emotional difficulty. She really had Teague making the effort for her forgiveness and for her love.

It’s been a while since I read this author and now I will have to go back and read all the ones I missed. This was fantastic! Lots of tension between Lana and Teague to the point that you weren’t sure who to support! Mixing an experienced thief with a black ops and the result is this story. I won’t spoil the plot by telling you anything other than to read it! Excellent writing and storytelling!

I so love this Red Stone Security series and even though this is book 20, its certainly a standalone. These books will reel you right in and really keep the reader engaged until the end. There is never a dull moment in my opinion. Teague, who is a black Ops Officer helps Lana after she stole something from the wrong person and winds up in more trouble than she bargained for. I enjoyed both characters as they were strong in their own right. A highly recommend read in my opinion. I received an advanced copy and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Net Galley of Danger Rising . This story is amazing ! It takes off from the start with action packed suspense . Lana is on a mission of her own she's searching for a family heirloom that was stolen from her mother before she was murdered . upon not finding it . She takes the personal laptop and money from Jeremy Cashe . He is the creep responsible for her mother's murder . Lana won't stop till she gets her heirloom back . Lana is shocked when she comes face to face with Teague a one time lover who she thought to never see again . Teague steps in to help and protect Lana and hopefully stop Cashe . He has his work cut out for him to win Lana's trust . This story is sensational and intriguing . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Danger Rising is the 20th book (say what??!) in this author’s Red Stone Security series, but each is a stand-alone title. However, this series introduced me to this author, and I’ve loved every Red Stone Security book to date, so if you’re looking for a great romantic suspense series to binge, I highly recommend this one!

Obviously, as a romantic suspense series, most of the books are high-action, but this one seemed to take the cake. It felt nonstop from beginning to end, whereas there seems to be a bit of a breather from time to time in the other stories. It was also an emotional rollercoaster to boot. I literally couldn’t stop reading and finished it in one sitting.

There’s a reason Katie Reus is one of my go-to authors for romantic suspense. She consistently delivers quality stories with wonderfully heartfelt characters and engaging and sexy suspense. I know when I pick up one of her books, I had better have a lot of free time because I will not want to put it down, and this one was no exception. Danger Rising is one more winner in a great line-up of books from this author.

Danger Rising by Katie Reus
Red Stone Security series book #20. Romantic suspense. Can be read as a stand-alone. The couple from this book did appear in the prior book so for backstory, I would recommend that one be read first.
A family heirloom was stolen from Lana when her mother died. She knows who stole it and she is determined to get it back. Teague has a job he can’t talk about and he’s ready for a relationship with Lana. But he has to make her understand that his leaving the first time was for her own safety.

Action, adventure, and romance. A great combo that this author does so well. Shades of gray with altruistic intent make me love this extended family and operatives of Red Stone Security.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I also purchased a copy to share.

Side note: the author made a couple of references to “not my monkey” and “wasn’t his circus to deal with”. Since I recently read the non-fiction, business book and original article myself, I thought I would name it here and add that her comments amused me and reminded me that I also have more homework to do in getting those monkeys off my own back. The text is a bit dated but the underlying message is still viable.
The One Minute Manager Meets the Monkey by Ken Blanchard
HBR 1974 article by Bill Oncken Jr.

Not to take away from my love of a good romantic suspense! This book is a great ride of danger and romance.

Great story. Lana and her mother used to be high end thieve s (Robinhood type). They were to only family they had. Lana recently lost her to murder. Lana knows that some how her mom's death is connected to Mr. Cashe (the man she was working for until her death a mere 6 months ago). What adds insult is the family jeweled necklace was stolen.

Lana is determined to find out how Mr. Cashe killed her mom and why he did it. Lana breaks into Cashe's private home and steals his computer, and manages to escape. unharmed. She later breaks into his love nest and steels all his money (the safe was easy for her to break into). Cashe is angrier than anyone has seen him before.

Teague was a hired killer / black ops person who also fell in love with Lana - until his last job almost killed him. He has had to let Lana believe he is dead to keep her safe - if his boss found out her skill set, he may want to hire her.

The story has lots of action both in the bedroom and espionage . A must read for anyone who likes Suzannae Brockmann , or Cherry Adair.

Lana had an interesting childhood, to say the least. She traveled the world with her conwoman/thief but she left that world behind and now loves her life as a nurse. But when a business associate of her mothers steals a family heirloom, Lane breaks out her old skills and starts to steal his assets.

Teague fell for Lana hard and fast but his life as a black ops agent doesn't bode well for a HEA. But when he had to fake his death to keep Lana safe, he didn't realise how hard it would be to leave her behind. So when he catches wind of her one-woman vigilante thieving, he steps in to assist.

Now they're playing both ends against their paranoid and bloodthirsty mark. He's determined to find out who is stealing from him and he has Lana down as number one suspect!

2nd chance, protector, he fell first, mc in peril romance. Part of an interconnected series but can be read standalone.

Loved it! So much amazing romance and intrigue. I really adored Lana and Teague. I enjoyed the second change aspect to their relationship, and the danger really added another dimension. The romance was great and felt like a slow build. The action kept things exciting, and I was on the edge of my seat. I devoured every page - can't wait for more!

*I received an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

This is Lana and Teague's story. Lovers who have reconnected after suffering traumatic events. Teague will protect Lana at all costs. Throw in some dangerous characters and Harley (please tell her story in a full volume) and we have a 5 star review. Can't go wrong with Katie Reus. This is a part of the Red Stone series but can be read as a standalone book.

I received this ARC From Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This is book 20 in the Red Stone Security series but it can be read as a stand-alone. I really enjoyed this romantic suspense and being able to jump into Lana and Teague story. Lana was a former thief who worked with her mother. Her mother wanted her to stop stealing and make something of herself. When her mother’s business partner stole a family necklace, Lana decided to break into his many properties to find it and take it back. When on one of these break-ins, Lana steals dangerous information that could get her killed that is when Teague who has been watching her in the background jumps in. Lana is shocked when she sees him because she has been told that he died on a mission. Teague tells her that he can’t explain but it was for her safety that she was told this and that he was back to help her before something happens to her. Behind all of her troubles is the man that stole her mother’s necklace and possible killed her. A quick read with plenty of action, romance and suspense.

Danger Rising😳

Danger Rising is the twentieth book in the Red Stone series. It features Lana, an ex-thief who is stealing from someone she suspects stole a family heirloom from her mother after she died. Determined to get the heirloom back, she puts herself in danger until Teague, whom she believes had died, essentially resurfaces❣️

A great story of second chances as well as some action packed scenes and some sneak peeks of some favourite characters😉 Can’t wait until the next book in this series is here🤩 I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

This a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I am always looking forward to the next book in the Red Stone Security series and have always enjoyed each story. This was another one that I could not put down as I just had to get to the end and see how their drama was resolved!

Lana was shocked when Teague turned up as she was told that he had died, well he almost did - to be fair. After he recovered, he did not contact Lana as his life was still in danger and he didn't want anything to happen to her if a connection was found between them.

Teague's drama was finally at an end and he could reveal himself to Lana and then he had to keep her alive while groveling for making her mourn him.

Lots of drama as Lana is determined to get her mother's necklace back from the man who stole it and now wants her dead. It was almost non-stop action as they try to find the necklace and stay ahead of those out to kill them.

Great ending and HEA and tie in to the Red Stone Group.

4.25⭐

Danger Rising maybe book twenty in the Red Stone Security Series, but this one can comfortably be read as a stand alone.

As Teague a Black Ops Officer who after his previous job has him faking his own death returns to Miami and Lana the woman he left behind and who has mourned him for months. When she robs a criminal called Cashe who stole a precious piece of jewellery after the death of her mother.

But Lana isn't just a high-end thief at least not anymore. But after losing her mother and learning the man she worked for swindled her she's out for revenge and Teague is determined to protect her even if she's unhappy to see him.

Yet, as the stakes rise and Cashe becomes more desperate to retrieve his goods so does the danger. As Lana searches to find what is rightfully hers but along the way she uncovers some shocking truths including what really happened to her mum.

And with twists, a little heat and some edge of your seat moments. This was an enjoyable and at times gripping addition to the series and one I would happily recommend to others.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

Lana and Teague have a past together but when Lana starts to get herself in some deep waters Teague comes back to protect her.

Getting back what is hers is Lana’s main objective but will the man she is trying to take down take her down first?

Action packed romantic suspense that will have you on the edge of your seat.
