Romance, emotion, humor, and all the best Christmas traditional nostalgia with new things woven together into swoony and joyful bliss . A perfect book to read wrapped up in a cozy blanket in my chair after baking Christmas cookies.

This book was packed with everything Christmas and I soaked up every minute! Complete with a Christmas-loving mountain town, an enemies to lovers slow burn romance, fun Christmas traditions and a little family drama. This was cozy and sweet with a heartfelt message about moving on after loss and grief. This was my second book I’ve read by Schaler and it won’t be my last!

Book Review: Love Always, Christmas by Karen Schaler ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

This book came out this November - so it’s a newbie! The author wrote “A Christmas Prince” for Netflix and “Christmas Camp” for Hallmark, so you know what you’re getting yourself into picking this one up. I’m a sucker for cheesy, romantic holiday movies so I was really excited.

Overall, I really did enjoy this book. I loved the story, and the characters were also lovable. A *little* grumpy x sunshine and some enemies to lovers in action. Karen Schaler isn’t afraid of an exclamation point, and a lot of the book read like a screenplay IMO, but honestly it added to the charm for me. I wish Holly Peak was a real place, because you would 100% find me there during the holidays. Sometimes during December, books are marketed for the holidays and Christmas - and they don’t always deliver the feels you want. Fear not, this book won’t let you forget it’s Christmas.

QOTD: what’s your favorite fictional place?!

A delightful holiday story of healing, romance and reunion all set in the backdrop of a town that everyone will want to go visit! A must read for the Christmas TBR list!

3.5 stars rounded up to a 4.

I have read all of Karen Schaler's Christmas books and they've all been pretty good. She is known for writing Hallmark type books, so if you like those super cute, almost cheesy Christmas vibes then this would be a book for you. Unfortunately, this one wasn't my fave from her, but I still liked it!

I really enjoyed the quaint, small town. I'm always a fan of a cute town and a close knit community. I also really enjoyed the abundance of Christmas cheer. This book had everything from Christmas decor and traditional activities, to Christmas themed ring tones and even an adorable dog named Rudolph.

The romance itself was pretty slow burn. I don't usually mind that but in Hallmark movies, the main characters pretty much always get together. You knew it was going to happen, but it took a really long time in this one. The dialogue also fell a bit short for me. I like cheesy but at times this was a bit over the top and repetitive. There was just a lot of talking, period, and I didn't always need quite so much explanation.

Still glad I picked this one up because it was perfect for those true Christmas lovers! I do really enjoy watching Hallmark Christmas movies and I could see this book making it to screen. It needed a few tweaks, in my opinion, to make it better. But it was still entertaining holiday fun!

What a whimsical and fun Christmas Read. I always dreamed of living in a town like this and loved Adam’s and Libby’s love story. My first by Schaler and definitely won’t be the last

This is not the first Karen Schaler book I've read that I've been disappointed in. They are so completely predictable and the writing feels more like a tween novel, not an adult one. The story was cute enough, but dragged on way too long. A festive read for the holidays, but will probably not read another one of her books.

Libby had lost her joy for Christmas when her parents passed away, and now with the loss of her newfound business looking to make the same leap, she found herself in a quandary. Christmas was looking even more gloomy and stressful for her. Adam wasn’t what she was looking for, but miracles do happen. A sweet uncluttered story, just your run-of-the-mill romance nothing too exciting or intriguing about it.

Libby is struggling with the prospect of her first Christmas alone, following the death of her mum. She’s also started her own company, is in debt and risks losing her family home unless she can make her latest advertising campaign work.

This is a predictably romantic fairytale about a couple who meet, dislike each other at first but are then drawn together and fall in love. The setting is a hallmark card version of a Christmas town where everyone knows their neighbours and they all work together to create a magical, winter wonderland.

If you are in the mood for a sickly sweet Christmas love story, then this is the book for you.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

An enjoyable Christmas read full of all the holiday feelings. I know this author has written a few other books that have been Hallmark movies and this book truly read like one. I loved the setting, but would have liked a little more depth to the characters. 3.5 stars.

This was a good, heartwarming Christmas story. I felt it dragged a bit slow at some points where it needed to get to the point, but it was a fun and charming read. Perfect for Christmas cheer. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for allowing me to read and review.

This was a cute Christmas novel that dealt with some deeper topics beautifully. Karen Schaler is a fantastic writer and I will be reading everything she writes. Love Always, Christmas moved me, brought tears to my eyes, made me laugh and smile. I loved it!

While I did enjoy the story, I read another one of her books before this one and that might have been a mistake because this one also felt like I was reading a TV script. Also the constant complements back and forth. Like one time is enough it doesn't need to go on and on lol. I just noticed certain situations or conversations were dragged out it seemed. I do recommend her books they are good Christmas reads.

Thank you to Netgalley!

This was my first time reading a book written by this author. There was something about the author's writing style that I personally didn't enjoy. I usually love Hallmark style Christmas romances but this one wasn't for me.

"Love Always, Christmas" offers readers the most recent installment from a popular writer of Christmas-themed novels. In this story, social media maven Libby finds new ways to celebrate Christmas as she visits Holly Peak, where the town prepares for the annual Christmas town competition. Escorted by her new friend Adam and his lovable dog Rudolph, Libby experiences a small town Christmas and also meets a new friend who turns out to be much more than she thought. As Libby and Adam get to know each other, they find more than a casual relationship might be at hand. But first Libby needs to get her social media business off the ground and save her family home from being sold. Libby also comes to grips with family secrets and long-buried disputes.

This is a clean and sweet, contemporary romance novel that sets the tone for a loving Christmas season. I received this novel from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

Purely magical- small town Christmas, a decorating completion , two lovable main characters and the healing power of family. It is no surprise that the author is also a screenwriter of popular Netflix Christmas movies since this would make another top notch addition to their line up.

Libby was planning to spend Christmas alone until she found a card that belonged to her deceased mom that takes her on a journey to discover an unexpected surprise. While on this journey, she meets Adam and after a semi-enemies to lovers start, these two come together to help out a neighbor and his town!

This was a sweet romance and a fun book to get into the Christmas spirit. I have been pretty distracted the past week and thankfully this was a perfect book to be able to have starts and stops and still follow along. The Love Always, Christmas list reminded me of my family’s Christmas bucket list of things we try to do each year

*Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copies. Opinions are my own.
