I love Marts’s cowboys. Carley and Knox are an easy couple which makes this a super-fast read. Come for the cowboy, stay for the humor, and farm animals.

Another great addition to this series! I loved Carley and Knox.

Carley is not looking for romance, she's focused on her business. But whenever Deputy Knox Garrison is near she can sense that spark of attraction.

He stops by her shop almost every day and helps her when one of her stylists goes into labor early. Things get even crazier that day when her ex-husband walks in and implies he'd like to win her back.
Knox further complicates things when he tells her ex that he and Carley are engaged.

Now the news is spreading around town like wildfire before Knox can tell Carley what happened. She decides to go along with this to keep her ex away until they can figure out what he's really in town for.

Pretty soon this fake engagement isn't feeling that fake anymore.

Thank you so much to the author, Sourcebooks and NetGalley for this ARC to review.

I skimmed almost all of this after becoming disinterested by the ex-husband. I don’t enjoy third parties bringing conflict into a romance, especially when they’re drawn out for so long. This one just wasn’t for me.

Thank you to the publisher for the advance reader copy via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

I love returning to Creedence and this was no exception. A fake engagement between Knox and Carley, that leads to so much more. Paul, Carley's ex is a douche bag but his grandma, Evelyn is a sweetheart. The menagerie of farm animals is so much fun, and will have you laughing out loud. It was great catching up with characters from previous books.

I highly recommend this rom com, it will keep you turning the pages until done. Loved the chemistry between Knox and Carley, both nervous about starting a new relationship but they are the perfect fit. For all animals lovers, you will love this book. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone.

What’s a fake relationship among friends? In Every Bit a Cowboy (Creedence Horse Rescue Book 5) by Jennie Marts it is humorous, sassy, heartfelt and swoon worthy. That’s what. Knox Garrison, the Deputy Sheriff, has met his match with hair salon owner, Carley Chapman. These are two wonderful characters who tiptoe around any romance because of past hurts but are so perfect together.

It takes a situation Carly having to move out to the Heaven Can Wait Horse Rescue Ranch, then the bad part of Carly’s past coming to visit for Knox to step up. As these two wrestle their feelings the antics of the animals on the ranch keep life pretty lively, far from boring and give the readers an amazing story. Once again Jennie Marts has done it with Every Bit a Cowboy.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Every Bit A Cowboy is the fifth title in the Creedence Horse Rescue series… and I have to confess that I love this menagerie of animals at the ranch almost as much as I love the cowboys and their ladies! If you haven’t yet begun this series, I would highly recommend that you get started right now, especially if you enjoy the shenanigans that only animals can provide. Could you start right here? Sure. But there are lots of other great stories in store if you go back to the beginning, in my opinion.

A sudden building disaster means that Carley needs to move her salon temporarily out to the Creedence Horse Rescue Ranch. And one of the hottest, nicest cowboys is there to help that move. Not that Carley is interested in romance, no, her vile ex made certain that she’s not trusting any man as far as she can toss him, let alone agree to a relationship again. Her ex has done a number on her belief in herself, and she is as skittish as a newborn foal when she realizes that Knox is flirting with her.

Then when Paul (the vile ex) comes sniffing around again, trying to get Carley back for his own purposes… well, Knox is having none of that and impulsively announces their engagement, to the surprise of everyone, including Carley. He might have just made matters worse for the woman he’s coming to love, or it could have been the best move possible, only time and Carley have the answer to that.

I loved Knox. He’s just, well, swoon-worthy. He’s stubborn, yes, but he’s also kind, full of humor, loves animals, and is a protector to his core. Carley broke my heart for what she’s been through, and it’s easy to understand her hesitation concerning Knox. Yet, she’s also falling for the man who seems determined to build her self-esteem back up again and to love her exactly as she is. Hard to fight against that, and she really doesn’t want to, but she’s scared to trust again.

I actually fell in love with a gas-filled pup. The subject of animal abuse and neglect is tastefully and realistically mentioned. You have to be lower than a snake’s belly to harm an innocent animal, in my opinion, so I was grateful to see this subject addressed.

I had such a good time back in this world. If you love a fun, sexy, emotional romance with realistic characters… and adorable animals, then Every Bit A Cowboy should be on your radar.

Every Bit a Cowboy was a pretty good read.
I didn't know this book was part of a series, but it could be easily read as a standalone.

When Carley Chapman's ex husband comes back in town trying to reconquering her she decides to accept Deputy Knox Garrison courting. Carley is worried to fall in love again because her marriage left only bad memories, will Knox overcome her defenses in order to win her heart?

I liked the characters and the various animals put a smile on my face with their antics.
Knox is every bit a hero with cowboy's boots, I adored how he takes care of Carley giving her more than one good idea to solve her problems.

Possibly the best in this series so far!
If I could give a book ten stars this would be it.
Fun, flirty and HOT
From solving her immediate problems to causing a few, this cowboy takes control.
Although there are a few women he has a tough time dealing with...

The only thing I wish was that a certain someone in this book might have had more of what they (he or she) deserved, like a black eye or swollen lip at least.

I really enjoyed this book. It's the fifth book in the Creedence Horse Rescue series. This book had it all--humor, heart, a sexy cowboy, and a wonderful heroine. I thought the connection between the hero and heroine kept me reading from start to finish. This book had good conflict and solid character growth throughout the story. This was the perfect weekend read. Huge thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book.

This was the fifth book in the series "A Creedence Horse Rescue" but the first of Jennie Marts that I have read. I really enjoyed the story and all of the animals. This book depicted the main characters and the plot very well. It was emotional and heart-string pulling. A very good romance for any romance lover.

Thank you to Jennie Marts, SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Carly and Knox start out in a fake relationship to convince her ex to leave her alone and leave town. But as they face adversity, rescue goats, a horse and a dog together the lines between fantasy and reality merge. Their feelings grow until their fake engagement becomes real to them but they don't know if they can learn to trust again.

You'll laugh and cry for these two and the situations they face. They come out realizing that true love doesn't involve deception. A feel good story you'll want to read.

Although I received a free ARC eBook, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

3.5 stars. There was a line early on about how Carley’s hair color reminded Knox of his favorite horse. For some reason that line weirded me out. 🙈

The main conflict with Carley’s ex-husband lasted almost the entire book and then was solved by his grandmother, Evelyn, within a few sentences. The whole ending seemed very rushed.

The best part was all the animals. Give me all the animals! Overall, it was a fun read but probably not something I’ll revisit.

I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Knox and Carley😍

OMG, I’ve been waiting for Knox and Carley’s story for what feels like ages and it did not disappoint❣️I absolutely loved this couple along with the menagerie of animals that accompanied them. A beautiful story of two people that have been hurt in the past by others and forge an unlikely path but it ultimately leads to them becoming more❤️‍🩹

I love this series and I seriously hope we have more books coming our way🙃 I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

Every Bit a Cowboy is Jennie Marts’ Credence Horse Rescue book #5. In this novel, Carley Chapman, owner of Carley’s Cut and Curl, is the main character. Carley has gotten her life back together after divorcing her manipulative ex husband, Paul. Luckily, his grandmother Evelyn has taken up for Carley and the biggest part of the divorce settlement is joint ownership between Evelyn and Carley of the building housing her salon and their tenant Amber’s yoga studio.

When Deputy Knox Garrison shows interest in Carley, she does her best to ignore him as she has sworn off men forever. But when the deputy keeps coming to her aid, Carley begins letting her guard down some. Then Paul comes back to town sniffing around making assumptions that the only reason Carley hasn’t dated is because she is still waiting for him to come back, Knox first slips up saying they’re dating but when Paul scoffs, he takes it further to say they are engaged.

From here, the story becomes both laughable and poignant, as Knox and Carley form a liaison to thwart Paul’s plans while watching over the horse rescue, making rescues, and, just maybe, giving the small town of Credence something to talk about.

This is a delightful story, as has been the case for every book I have read by Ms. Marts. Her ability to weave together endearing characters, wonderful locations, and plots that both entwine human behavior and issues to be solved is skillful and presents stories that are very entertaining. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

Knox lives up to the title, he is such a cowboy and is totally swoonworthy! The story is a great mix of steam and heart. Knox was so good for Carly who has some self-confidence issues from her time with her ex. I love how Knox steps in to help. The book was a lot of fun to read and left me feeling happy. I haven't read the other books in the series and this book can be read standalone. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Carley and Deputy Knox had it bad for each other, although I thought he was overcompensating with the cheesy comments.
These two had a lot of kinks to work out before delving into a full-body relationship. Thanks to good friends, and great companions of the four-legged type, their journey ended up being a hilarious and sweet adventure.

This book is the perfect romantic read. It includes lots of flirty behaviour, entertaining banter, charming romantic gestures and sweet, sexy moments. A menagerie of adorably cuddly or irascible animals and their antics make this book impossible to put down. The charming and fascinating characters, and a fake engagement that feels all too real storyline are impossible to resist.

Knox, the very handsome Deputy Sheriff, has a very sexy drawl and is an unrepentant flirt. He has taken an interest in the beautiful hair salon owner, Carley, after spending time with her at her sister’s wedding. Carley is a little reluctant to get involved without any man after everything she went through with her ex husband. He was an intent on belittling and undermining her at every turn, and it was a relief to put their relationship behind her. She does enjoy flirting with the deputy, but she intends to do everything to keep her heart safe. However, it is mighty hard to resist a man who will pinch hit in the hair salon or do odd jobs around town and accept twinkies as payment. Knox has been through the wringer in the romance department too, but there is just something about Carley that draws him to her. He persuades her to go on a date just as her smarmy ex reappears. Knox finds himself claiming Carley as his fiancée in order to thwart her ex. Good thing Carley decided to go along with it, because the whole town has heard the good news and her ex is still hovering. Both Carley and Knox tell themselves their engagement is just pretend and they are only pretending to have deep feelings for each other. Why then, do those feelings seem so real? Everyone around them keeps saying they make a great couple. Could they all be right? Could Knox and Carley really have a chance at a happily ever after?

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This is such a cute, fun read, and one I truly enjoyed. The Creedence Horse Rescue series has so much heart, and the characters are always warm, earnest, and sweet, and Every Bit a Cowboy puts those attributes on full display.

A fake relationship romance, this story is easy to read. Knox is a sexy, swoony Deputy Sheriff who says all the right things (and means them)... except when he claims to be Carley's fiance. It's a good premise and definitely sets them up for some delightfully tense moments together as they slowly learn that fake can feel awfully real when the attraction is off the charts.

The return of Carley's ex adds intrigue to an otherwise pretty chill book, and gives credence (pun not intended) to Carley's relationship doubts, and the ensuing bad luck she experiences leads to a couple of adorable moments featuring itty bitty goats. The way to my heart? Baby animals. (And men with babies LOL.)

All in all, a great read and another excellent standalone book in this series that's filled with people we'd all love to know IRL.

Gorgeous fake to real romance,
With characters leading a merry dance.
There's animals up to mischief, too,
And an ex at whom you like to boo!

Knox Garrison is a rancher and Deputy,
Who saw Carley Chapman and liked what he could see.
However, he knew she'd been hurt before
And was determined not to be hurt any more.

When a skirmish occurs in her hairdressers place
He's there to ensure there's no disgrace.
He's handsome. kind, and makes her heart race
Offering to help her move into her new place.

He's talking to her when her ex turns up unexpectedly,
It makes her uncomfortable, he can see.
The ex is sniffing around, claiming to be there for her still
But Carley doesn't want him again and never will!

A confrontation where Knox to claim they're engaged to be wed
Is overheard by others and the news is soon spread.
Get ready for ructions, floods, horses and goats, too,
In this delightful read, I highly recommend to you!

With much of the story at the Heaven Can Wait Horse Rescue,
The animal antics had me laughing and will you, too!
There's plenty of humour, laughter, love and caring
For animals and the characters as you discover how they're faring.

A great addition to this heartwarming series and so
I highly recommend you also give it a go!
For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

This is a fun, interesting, captivating read. I laughed so much reading this book – love Marts sense of humour that she wrote this book with. Knox and Carley are complex, well-developed characters. I enjoyed their journey as a couple in this book. I love Knox, he is a new book boyfriend. Carley and Knox on the page together are something special – the flirting and their interactions. Both the secondary characters and animals added to the fabric of the story. They are all so varied in personalities, it was fun at times to read about them.

I read this book as a stand alone and enjoyed it. BUT I think I would have enjoyed it even more if I had read the previous four books in order. The main characters from many of the previous books make appearances in this one and the main characters in Every Bit a Cowboy are in the book prior to this one.

Possible trigger: Carley lives at an animal rescue ranch. There are on page scenes of various types of rescues.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
