I love this author’s style of writing. I appreciated that the ending really delivered, which is not always the case with this type of novel.

Uuuuummmmm not to sure what I just read?! I'm sorry but for me this book kind of seemed like a whole lot of nothing?! Then when you find out the big conflict it just ends?! I guess some will like this book but it wasn't for me I guess?! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for the electronic copy. Different...unique...this author has written a cannot put down mystery...intrigue...family and friends...secrets...red herrings...trying to discern if the "neighbor" is all he seems to be...or not...that keeps the protagonist on her toes...She trusts...she distrusts...she tries to keep him happy...she tries to keep her almost ex husband happy...and her child...friendship is work also...I look forward to more mysteries from this talented and gifted author. Don't start reading in the evening because you will have to stay up late to get to the end...Enjoy.

My Review:
Loved!!!!! I don’t know what it is about this author but I sure do love her books. I’m not sure if it’s her writing style or her story lines but I’m hooked on her. Once I start one of her books I can’t put it down for the life of me so I make sure I have everything done before I even start. Now on to the book. All I have to say is you definitely don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. This title was perfect for this book. This book was so sick and twisted but you didn’t realize how much so until the end of the book. I was so shocked and speechless at that ending. All of it finally made sense. Every single thing clue you were given came in clear view by the end. Kathryn Croft always delivers when it comes to her endings and that is one of reasons I love her so much. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Neighbour Upstairs follows Olivia after she moves out with her daughter Ellie post divorce. Her life is fally apart and she finds solace in the neighbour upstairs...

I love Kathryn Croft so naturally, I requested this book. I am incredibly grateful for my copy. The novel seemed familiar as I was reading it but I chalked it up to reading a lot of mystery & thrillers. Eventually it clicked and I realised I'd already read this book -this is a re-release of one of Kathryn's early novels, Behind Closed Doors.

This is a really good book so I read it for a second time. I really recommend it to anyone who loves a solid mystery and thrillers!!

Olivia moves into rented accommodation with her young daughter after her marriage falls apart.
She starts a relationship with the man who lives upstairs.
A slow moving story about her relationship that felt very drawn out.
I was disappointed in this book because I had previously enjoyed books by this author.
Thank you to NetGalley and Canelo for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn’t aware this was previously published as behind closed doors . Never noticed it mentioned at the bottom of the blurb on NetGalley. Here is my review from 2015 .

I have to be honest and say I don't know if I really enjoyed this book. There were times when I couldn't put it down and then parts of it I wanted to skip forward. If I could have got into the book I would have reached out and slapped Olivia. I felt she needed a good shaking . Her character I found quite annoying. She seemed to have no self respect for herself.

The ending for me wasn't a massive wow and personally a bit of an anticlimax.
