This book just wasn’t for me whatsoever. Which is weird because it should have been everything I love, but the writing style just wasn’t for me.

This is Dexter in Louboutin’s and I was HERE FOR IT!

I never knew I’d love a story about a female vigilante with a biting wit, dark humor and gory murder scenes, but dammit I loved it and would love to be Kitty’s friend.

This was fast paced, fun, dark, witty, funny and murdery all rolled into one wild ride throughout London.

If spooky vibes aren’t your jam…they aren’t mine, but you are craving some Halloween fun - pick this up and enjoy!

This was a super nice quick easy read that had me giggling out loud. The way the story is told allows you to really connect with the main character and let me tell you the insight into her brain is fascinating! A dark and twisted yet humorous story that keeps you on your toes.

How to kill men and get away with it .... I'm sure given the title and the subject I'm supposed to hate this book but it was a great weekend read. Totally reminiscent of Killing Eve vibes and Sweetpea which I also love. Some parts were a bit far fetched but overall a good light hearted (given the subject us murder that sounds silly) read and would recommend

‘How to Kill Men and Get Away With it’ is a fast funny read which is as sexy as it is murdery. Some of the scenes are not for the faint hearted but the humour and quick wit keeps the book light and moving.
I enjoyed it and would recommend for a vacation read!

Thanks to NetGalley and HQ for this eARC. When I started reading, I was a bit shocked. I thought I was jumping into a cozy mystery but it was quite gritty then it calmed down...a bit. Haha. It was a good read and Kitty..thanks for being a friend!! Nice and short chapters and a. easy read. This book should do quite well when it is available to all.

Is it wrong I really want to be Kitty’s friend?

A different read to my usual genre but I loved it! Witty, clever and kept me hooked throughout. It had a good storyline and I liked the little twists throughout.

Katy has cleverly created a character that’s really actually quite likeable despite what she is doing. I was actually rooting for her! It had a very ‘you’ and ‘dexter’ feel throughout so if you’re a fan of either of those books and shows then this is a must for you!

Overall a good, easy read. Thank you NetGalley and HQ for the opportunity to read and review this title.

This was a fun book to read. It is not a great book but I enjoyed it. The characters were fun, if a little stereotypical and I liked the ending which is always very important. Well worth reading.

How to Kill Men and Get Away With It is about a popular influencer named Kitty Collins who finds herself on a killing spree to get rid of men who have done women wrong with sexual assault and rape. Kitty finds herself going down this path when she gets followed by a man after a night out, after a mishap on the street she sees that the guy is bleeding out and does nothing to try help him. She sees the death a way to avenge women and prevent further assaults from happening. She eventually starts seeking out these men to give them a piece of her mind and torture them for all their wrong doings.

Following this story, we get to learn more about Kitty and her past. Her dad who is a famous abattoir goes missing when she is 15 years old with no one aware of where he might have gone. This is the beginning of her twisted relationship with men. In addition, Kitty makes references to a past love interest named Adam who has wronged her with infidelity. So as she works to overcome past hurt, she seeks to find a healthy relationship with a man named Charlie, a well known man in the charity realm. It was interesting to see how the past has impacted Kitty's outlook and her future relationships that she develops with men.

I give this book 4/5 stars because I really liked Kitty's voice that is portrayed throughout the story. She is sassy, witty, and speaks her mind. Trigger warnings for sexual assault, rape, and murder scenes. The book was more gory than expected making me feel uneasy at points but I was able to overcome those scenes.

Thank you to NetGalley and HQ Stories for this ARC!

The title had me from the beginning. A few of us read this one as a buddy read and I'm glad we did despite a couple of us steaming ahead because it was so.. unputdownable [ is this even a word ]
One of our groupies summed it up as made in Chelsea of Sweetpea and she summed it up perfectly. So for fans of Sweetpea, this one is a must read for you!!!

The best thing about this book is how the story jumps into action right from the word go and that reels you in. I guess killing isn't a laugh out loud thing but there are some seriously funny moments in this book.

Character wise.. Kitty is a bit like Marmite you'll either love her or hate her.. and her influencer friends added to the story giving us the Made in Chelsea vibe.

Trigger warnings - murder, rape, violence and domestic abuse not just against women but in this case men too. Not for the faint hearted.

Bloody loved it!!!

Huge thankyou to Netgalley, Katy Brent and HQStories for this ARC.

I absolutely loved this. I was hooked from the start. A great twist on vigilante action plots and definitely a hard hitting point on how women feel unsafe. Thoroughly enjoyed and did not see who the stalker was going to be. Kept me guessing all the way through! Gruesome but for a good reason. I just reviewed How to Kill Men and Get Away With It by Katy Brent. #HowtoKillMenandGetAwayWithIt #NetGalley

This was a fun fantastic read!! I loved the writing style and quick wit in the storytelling. Influencer turned vigilante turned out to be quite an inventive premise. Highly recommend

I enjoyed this book a lot! Kitty is a Super influencer living a luxury lifestyle from her online posts when she turns Dexter style murderer taking out all the very bad men out there. Quite dark in places and quite gory but with a nice hit of humour it’s a fun read. Bit of a twist at the end although I did have a vague idea about it. How on earth she got away with all the murders somewhat belies belief but you can overlook that!

This book was so good! Katy Brent sure knows how to tell a story and she did not disappoint. The plot jumps into action right off the bat, which I really enjoyed. It's a relatively short read, but that's why I loved that it is so action-packed. Kitty's character was so well-written and her dark humor is so fun to read. Her circle of influencer friends added so much more to the story, as they each had their own personal thing, but each added to the plot with their snobby remarks or personalities.

There are some gory scenes and a lot of dark humor, so if that is not your thing, I probably wouldn't recommend reading this one. If you love that, however, I would definitely recommend reading this book!

Thank you NetGalley and HQ for this free arc in exchange for my honest review.

Boy what a ride this book was. Kitty is an influencer who ends up basically saying screw the patriarchy and kills men who have hurt women. This whole book is how she does it and gets away with it, minus a creepy stalker.

I have to say, I didn’t guess one of her friends being the stalker, and it absolutely blew my mind how no police get caught on to her, she was not a clean person with these crime scenes. Haha.

But overall, a really intriguing book with an interesting premise. I’d say to give it a shot!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Kitty is amazing!! You’ve got to love her and her twisted ways, She’s a bit of a mix between Dexter and Villanelle.
How to Kill Men and Get Away With It Is an amazing must read for those who love a bit of a serial killer! There are however a couple of sensitive issues dealt with within the book to be aware of, these include domestic abuse, rape and murder.
Huge thanks to NetGalley and HQ Stories for the opportunity to read and review this wicked read.

‘𝙃𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙣 ‘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙪𝙧’. 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙬𝙖𝙩.’

I saw the synopsis for this one and just knew I had to read it - so glad I did! A few of the lovelies in book club also got this ARC, so we did it as a buddy read and I just loved hearing everyone else’s thoughts on it. One of them said it was like the Made In Chelsea of Sweetpea and I don’t think I could find a better explanation for it!

The book got stuck straight into the action and did not let up. It was fast paced, exciting and complete bingeable - I didn’t want to put it down. It took a lot of twists and turns throughout, some outrageous, some quite sad and others just outright shocking. It was a clever plot and really took you on a ride.

Kitty’s character was well written and definitely one of those you love and hate in the same breathe. A team of ‘influencer’ friends just added to it, each with their own parts to play but giving the subtle snobby, rich kid vibes - which made aspects even funnier to read.

Granted some bits were a little graphic and grim. But the dark humour and sarcasm narrated throughout kept it light and bloody hilarious in parts. Whilst being humorous it also managed to shed light on a lot of important and relevant topics - without being preachy or overbearing. All these factors made for a really interesting and seemingly realistic read.

For any lovers of the Sweetpea series, morally grey main characters, dark humour or generally books with a badass, sarcastic female lead - this one is definitely for you! It was a great read and I’ll definitely be looking out for more from Katy Brent! (Hopefully a sequel after the way the epilogue ended 🤞🏻).

Okay. This book. It Slayed me, pun intended. They say you can't judge a book by it's cover, but this one did me in. And the title, oh the title. Having read other reviews, i know some people didn't connect with Miss Kitty b/c of her insta-worthy lifestyle, but i found her lovingly creepy and honestly quite a hoot. The writing brought to mind Steven King who i find quite humorous amidst the horror. ((Kitty lines her kitchen floor w vogue pages before committing the murder of Niall LOL.)). Thank you so very much for the ARC. This was just the read i needed!!

I loved this book, funny in places, sad in others and overall a great read. I’d love to know what happens next with Kitty.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in return for an honest and unbiased opinion.

Entertaining and twisted thriller. Kitty is kind of a female Dexter, which is very enjoyable. Looking forward to more from this author!
