A laughed and squirmed reading this book. I found myself laughing when I should not have necessarily done so.

It was a surprise from start to finish and a pleasure to read.

I'd honestly like Kitty to be my new bestie.

Loved it and cannot recommend highly enough, 5 stars from me.

As a true crime junkie I was excited about the prospect of a female “Dexter” taking matters into her own hands- but man did this fall flat. The main character was so hypocritical in their thinking. I also didn’t understand why the author made this such a huge platform to promote being a vegan. Overall, I think this could have been a great book but definitely needed more polishing.

Kitty Collins is a force of nature, whirling in to seek revenge for injustices against women by vile predatory men. She has a dark and deadly sense of humour. As a one woman army against injustice, she reels in men, using her social media popularity and good looks and then takes vengeance. Kitty is fun and fierce, though she has a few flaws - apart from her pathological need to murder- she has double standards. She cannot stand wealthy, entitled and vacuous friends whilst being a wealthy socialite herself and turns a blind eye to the fact her boyfriend's company was knowingly funded by a predator, because she loves her boyfriend and the company needed the cash for its good causes. I really enjoyed the book with the exception of the quite explicit sex scenes, which for me didnt add to the story. Whilst dealing with serious issues, this book felt like a light read as it deflected seriousness with dark humour and quick wit. An enjoyable read overall #howtokillmenandgetawaywithit #katybrent #netgalley

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as far fetched as the story is, it really amused me. I loved all the privilege and entitlement of this Chelsea set and would absolutely love to see thus brought to life as a Netflix movie! Brilliant escapism.

This book was not for me.
I loved the idea of it and avenging women’s rights but I found myself just wanting it to be over and was unable to finish.
Thank you for the opportunity.

✨ How to Kill Men and Get Away With It ✨⁣
⁣⁣
⁣First off, this is a thriller not a self help book. I just want to establish that fact right from the beginning. 🤣🤣🤣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Kitty is a famous social media star, meat packing heiress, and a female Dexter. When she is attacked by a man who follows her home from a bar, she accidentally kills him. From then on, she is addicted to killing men who are abusing women. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣This book requires a lot of suspension of belief; Kitty is like a dark Finlay Donovan. In the real world, this chick would have been caught quickly by even the lamest police investigation. But it’s fun! And wildly entertaining! ⁣

⁣I listened to How to Kill Men and Get Away With It and really enjoyed it. This was a unique read that kept me entertained. ⁣

⁣I recommend this to people with a dark sense of humor! Four stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I quite enjoyed this book. It kept me turning the pages it was quirky, funny and dark all at the same time. Not being into social media I did find that 'followers figures' and other references to social media were a bit lost on me.

LITERALLY, JUST PICK THIS UP AND READ IT. The title basically gives away the entire book. I was a little disappointed because it lacked the action I was craving. It instead was more psychological and the FL trying to combat her feelings.

I was not able to leave a review by release date - Sorry!!
I really enjoyed this book and I would thoroughly recommend it

This dark thriller was quite fun to read! Following the twists and turns and I couldn’t put it fully together until the end. The supporting characters weren’t quite different enough for me. Overall it was a fun read

The cover is incredible, like the best one I've seen all year.

But this book was not what I thought it was going to be, I felt as though the author used this to promote her own feelings and lifestyle choices. I don't agree with that. I was annoyed with how many times her being a vegan was mentioned. But i did like the irony of the inheritance and what it came from, but she was ok with murder of people. Shitty people or not. A soul is a soul and a life is a life.

Would have been great if the author maybe left out their own feelings.

The title and synopsis is what hooked me. But the dark humor and quick wit kept me reading. Kitty was quite likeable, for a killer and all. This was a fast read, but probably because I liked it so much.
I look forward to more books by this author.

This book is perfect for any feminist who loves a good contemporary story. If you are angry and upset about any of the misogyny in the world and want to live vicariously through a funny and lighthearted novel, this is for you.

I loved how it didn't take itself too seriously. Kitty is an influencer. She an instagram star and is vegan. Vegan but gets her thills from killing men in a variety of ways. And despite the subject matter it was a very easy to read, quite cosy book. It was really nice to sink into and have something that was relatable and just not too realistic.

The characters were probably a bit shallow, but in this sort of book, that didn't really matter. They weren't meant to be really deep, thought out characters, it's just not that sort of book.

This book was just exactly what I needed right now.

I loved this book!!! It was clever and witty and a bit of a twist on the female vigilante story. Kitty is sarcastic, a bit cold and most importantly tired of men's B.S. Her happy influencer status is the perfect mask to get away with you guessed it...murder. The creeps, the abusers, the cheaters are all no match for her. There is only one problem (ok maybe more than one) she has a stalker who knows EVERYTHING and is blackmailing to expose her.
I enjoyed the extra layer of the mystery in the plot here. There was also the small addition of romance, which felt necessary to give Kitty a bit more dimension. It helped her seem less heartless.
Now is this book a bit over the top? Sure, but it was fast paced and thrilling and the ending was GOOD.

Sadly not for.

I was drawn by the title and the beautiful cover. The book definitely had potential but it felt flat for me on many levels.

I found kitty experiment annoying and obnoxious. Her militant veganism paired with what she does was amusing but also she made vegans look like maniacs. There's also the fact that she pretends to "save" women from the men to justify her murders, but she's also condescending towards basically every woman she encounters. Why bother "helping" women if you can't stand any of them. She also constantly shames one of her best friends for having an eating disorder.

The plot took forever to come about and I was about to DNF at the point that it did come about. Kitty’s background story didn't feel like it fully supported her reasoning for her crimes when she was older. And as for her crimes, they were entirely unrealistic. I feel like the author tried to use technology she wasn't familiar with (like tinder, etc.) and it made it feel very fake and staged. Kitty was also very sloppy and I feel like someone definitely would have put two and two together and at least realised there was a vigilante serial killer.

Overall, if you have any interest in forensics or have a scientific mind, I don’t think you’ll enjoy this book. If you like influencers, brands, or the Chelsea set, you probably will. I probably just overthought it too much to be able to enjoy it.

Sadly not for me

The story is all about the world of influencers, dating apps and social media so I’m probably a few decades too old to really get it. I rarely abandon books as it feels like a personal failure but I couldn’t identify with characters and the story felt trite and didn’t pull me in.

I’ve given it two stars as I thought the story was inventive in that it took the world of social media and used it’s dark side as the basis for the story. Just not for me.

I was given this book from the author via netgalley only for the pleasure of reading and leaving an honest review should I choose to.

Kitty is a wealthy British influencer who appears to be living her best life alongside her gal friends. But just because she's a girly-girl doesn't mean she can't take care of herself. When a man takes things too far, Kitty is quick to react - and accidentally ends his life. It was self-defense, but does she really want the attention? She rationalizes that he wasn't a good guy anyways. After the police don't come after her, Kitty takes a look around and sees how many other not-so good guys could use a wake-up call....

I love the cover art, it drew me in right away. I was expecting a fluffier tone and was surprised by the themes. It's a dark comedy that really leans into the messier and more complex parts of Kitty's character. Although the pacing was good it felt repetitive in some of the middle parts. Kitty also had wayy to easy of a time chopping up these lads. I feel like I may have missed something with the veganism point? Not sure if it was supposed to highlight the contrast in her morals or not but I feel like there was too much focus on it. I thought it would have a bigger play. I did appreciate the #metoo aspects and how it drove Kitty in a different way from her childhood origin story.

I think this would be a fun read for a gals book club!

An influencer who accidentally kills then does it again? Intriguing. This book was good and I did enjoy some parts. Dark humour and some disturbing scenes this would be the perfect read for autumn/halloween time. Trigger warnings for SA and revenge killing so do be careful going into this one.
