Naomi wakes up in hospital after an accident, but has no memory of her previous life. The man by her side says he is Joel her husband, but she has no memory of him either and has to believe what he is saying is true.

Naomi starts to question Joel and this so called "wonderful life" they have together, and how did she get injured and lose her memory in the first place?

A great riveting read that was wonderfully written.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

Naomi has no recollection of what happened to her. Joel says he is her husband, but somehow, that doesn't seem right to her. She lies in bed trying to remember, but eventually looks on her social media and discovers some of her posts. But did she really write those things and were they a true reflection of her life?
This mystery is quite intriguing and does keep you reading until the end.

Naomi wakes up in a hospital with no memories, except for vague thoughts of selfies and Botox. Her husband Joel rushes her out, claiming she's in danger. As she uncovers her life as a social media influencer, Naomi questions her marriage and the lies Joel tells. Despite predicting the ending early, the book's twists and turns kept me engaged. The portrayal of Naomi's struggles and her strong character impressed me. This intriguing story explores the dangers of sharing too much online. I couldn't put it down!

I'm quite picky with the amnesia trope and this landed on the not so good side unfortunately. I found the writing to be very mediocre, the plot convoluted, and the characters bleh for me to care about any of them.

“I'm starting to understand that even memories I feel sure of are colored and altered by my emotions, my mental state.”

Who is Naomi? Instagram influencer? Cheater? Murderer? Naomi doesn’t know herself, or who to trust. Who is Joel? Her husband? Her kidnapper? Joel not Joel? Who can you trust when you can’t even trust your own mind?

This is a psychological thriller at its finest.

I honestly loved this book. I don’t normally like books that have a huge real life social media aspect to the plot but it worked for Her Last Lie. Every character Naomi met was a suspect and as a reader you had no idea who to trust. There were twists and turns and things I honestly didn’t expect. Which I loved!

I would recommend this book for anyone who wants a fast paced summer read.

Thank you to Inkubator Books, Netgalley, and Kyla Sharp for the eARC.

I thought this was going to be great and it was. It was full of suspense and had twists I didn't expect. It will make you think and reconsider your actions every day with social media and it was definitely one of a kind book.

I found this story awesome. Having no memory or any collection of anything from a head injury. It was twisty and fast paced read. Definitely recommend and would love to read more from this author.

I’m a sucker for stories about people who wake up without any memories. Unreliable narrators and amnesia tropes are 🫶🏻my favorite, especially when one comes along with a storyline I haven't seen before. What if you had no memory and only Instagram posts to help put the pieces together?

This was a quick and entertaining read, though some of it was a little far-fetched. I liked that the main character didn’t just let things happen to her and she took action. Mostly, I can’t stop thinking about how strange it would be if you only had your internet history to remember who you were. While the book was so much more, that concept really stuck with me and I love when books make you think beyond the last page.

In Her Last Lie Naomi wakes up in a hospital with no idea who she is or how she got there. Her husband Joel takes her home soon after she wakes up and things just go downhill from there. Is Joel who he says he is? If not why would he want to take Naomi "home" after her accident? Are posts on her social media account real or just what she wants people to believe? So many questions and this book will keep you guessing to find out what is really going on!

1.Naomi wakes up from an accident to a man at her bedside who claims to be her husband Joel. She has no memories of her life. After she goes home with him he keeps her isolated and won't tell her much about her past. She feels something is off with Joel and wonders how she got injured and lost her memories. A strange woman starts stalking her too, which makes her suspect she's in danger. After finding some posts she made on Instagram she realizes the truth of her real identity may be on her social media.
This was a great quick read. I liked how she used social media to help uncover the truth. I also liked how once she figured things out she got the hell out. Most books show the heroine waiting around or making dumb decisions but this one knew when to get out of the situation. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

The final read of the year and it was a great one. This was my first Kyla Sharp book but definitely won’t be my last! I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put this book down when I started reading it. There were twists and turns throughout this book which I didn’t predict or see coming.

What a great book! I love everything by this author and this book was no different! I couldn't put this down and was up all night waiting to see how it ended!

I’ve read versions of this trope and watched some on TV yet this one was a little different. The writing crafted a clever, sometimes creepy, suspense rollercoaster that was a thrill to read.

This is a great book to read if you are in a book hangover as I was. I was wrapped up in this in no time.

A fabulous quick read! Fantastic.

Naomi wakes up in a hospital. All her memories are gone. She just remembers her first thoughts being something like “selfie… Botox…”?! Everything else is gone. She suffered from severe head trauma after taking quite the fall of a balcony.

Then there is her “husband Joel” who swipes her away in a hurry from the hospital, saying that they are not taking good enough care of her. Naomi does not remember being married to Joel. Joel does not give away a lot, in order to “not overwhelm her”. But what he tells her does not make sense.

Naomi is having doubts. Who is she? Is she really married to a man she does not recognise? Why does Joel tell her that she is in danger?
She slowly figured out that she is an influencer on social media. Is her life really as perfect as she portrayed it to be?! Will she get her memories back and what is the last lie she told?
I had a hunch about the ending from an early start. The culprit creeped me out early on. But still, this books had twist and turn. Some subtle, some not.

I might have read stories similar to this. But I liked this one. I liked the social media influence. Even though I am hardly on social media, I find these kind of stories really intriguing. What all we give away on a little screen, could lead to dire consequences. How much should we really tell?

We get Naomi’s POV and see her struggle to remember. We feel her confusion and her emotions. I liked the way she was portrayed. I think she was a fantastic character, at least after her injuries.

For once the heroine knows to get the hell out of there and does not wait for her captor to take up! Ten points alone for that! Though it’s maybe slightly unrealistic that she walks miles and miles through the desert/highway barefoot and in a robe. But the story was that good,
I don’t even care for that!

I was reading this one fairly quickly, I did not want to put it down. I was really absorbed into the story. Not one boring moment.

I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. After reading all the rave reviews, I must be in the minority for this book as I did not enjoy it at all. I got to 60 percent and just could not go on.
Naomi wakes up in a hospital room not knowing who she is (I feel like I have read so many books like this). Basically she is taken out of the hospital by Joel and the story goes on from there where she is going from person to person trying to figure out her life. Every person she comes across seems to have something bad happen after she leaves and it's just too far fetched. I did not enjoy it.
