This is the first book I’ve read by Kyla and I enjoyed this suspenseful read.
The story follows Naomi who wakes up in hospital with absolutely no memory and it transpires she has a traumatic head injury after falling from a balcony. A stranger to her, Joel claims to be her husband, and Naomi has no choice but to believe him.
A bit unbelievable, but sometimes you need that when reading. It was just glorious escapism and kept me entertained for an afternoon.

3.5 stars for this quick & fast-paced psychological thriller. Our narrator, Naomi, wakes up in a hospital bed not knowing who she is or how she got there. She must rely on those around her to regain her memories, but she has no idea who she can trust or who is being truthful to her.

She begins to piece together her past and her profession as an Instagram influencer. As she recognizes her online persona, Naomi Sunshine, it becomes readily apparent she has a life that some would kill to have.

It’s a race against the clock as Naomi tries to figure out who is dangerous to her before they circle back to finish what they started.

This book was pure chaos but it worked! Despite her memory loss, Naomi was a whip-smart woman who took the opportunity to do better with her fresh start.

This book was very difficult to get into. All of the scenarios that the main character were in seemed pretty unbelievable to me.

This book was brilliant, twisty and creepy and kept me wanting to read in well when I should have been doing other things. This is what I enjoy in books, suspense and intrigue. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

I tried multiple times to get into this book but didn't connect with it. There's nothing that pulled me in: the plot, the characters or the events unfolding. It felt like things randomly occured.

I would like to thank the author, publisher and NetGalley for the free ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Her Last Lie is a quick but interesting read. We follow Naomi who has awoken in hospital with no memory of anything due to a serious head injury wiping her mind of memories after falling from a balcony.
When her husband Joel whisks Naomi out of the hospital soon after she awakes, Naomi is understandably confused and unsure. She doesn't remember her husband and he is very cagey about everything and says he doesn't want to overwhelm her. Naomi starts to piece together what she can during her recovery and begins to remember she is an influencer of some sort online Her husband says she's in danger but from who or what?
I really felt for Naomi at times and enjoyed that she was likeable, intelligent and used her initiative. I guessed the ending but this didn't ruin the book for me at all as it was very well written and I liked Naomis character so much. There are some good little twists along the way too.

This is my first book by this author but I knew I had to read it based on the blurb. Social media is such a large part of our lives. You see people’s perfect lives but are they really perfect? Filters and editing can make anything look good. Naomi is a social media influencer who has amnesia. She has to choose to trust those around her or decide if they were part of her accident.

I was intrigued by the title and the cover. In reading the book, the title takes on several meanings. I really enjoyed reading this book because Naomi is a very well written character. You can see yourself in her shoes and struggling to find out who you are and who to trust. An excellent fast paced book!

This book was interesting and kept me guessing until the very end. I couldn’t give 5 stars because there were many situations in the book that felt too far fetched.

Her Last Lie
By Kyla Sharp
Review and Rating 4 ⭐️

Naomi wakes from a terrible accident with no memory. A stranger, Joel, claims to be her husband and is keeping her isolated in a small casita. He provides her with only small bits of information about her former life daily, claiming her doctors think this is for the best. He also tells her they are in love and he is keeping her here for her own safety, as she is a semi-famous Instagram influencer and has a stalker.
Suspicious, but not sure why, Naomi begins to question Joel and his claims. She knows she is in danger but she doesn’t know who she can trust since she can’t remember anyone from her former life or what happened to cause the accident. Naomi runs away and follows the clues from her old instagram posts, but are the posts even reality or were they just an elaborate illusion?
Naomi must figure out who she really was and get her memory back before it is too late.
I really liked this book, I thought it was a unique, highly entertaining story! Sure there were some plot holes, making it unbelievable at times, but it was a fast paced thriller that kept me coming back for more.I want to thank #Netgalley, #Inkubator books, and Kyla Sharp for providing an eARC. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This book was definitely interesting… trying to figure out what was going on.. to someone losing their memory, to someone being killed, and another in a coma… this book definitely kept me interested from beginning to end. I would recommend this to be put on your TBR list!

It's no secret that we show a different side of ourselves and our lives on social media. But can we trust ourselves in that sense? This was an intriguing read but the pacing was all over the place. It slowed down so much I started to skim and then the ending was rushed. I hope a good editor can fix it up before publication because this story has the potential to be a good thriller.

Her Last Lie is the story of a woman that wakes up in a hospital but doesn't know who she is. Okay I am a sucker for these kinds of stories. This one is twisted, and at times a bit far-fetched. I am not into the whole influencer nonsense, but it does make for a scary plot for people chasing "celebrities" because they "know" them.

As she tries to remember who she is, the people that try to help her are not necessarily the people that she should trust. The big reveal was worth waiting for. But I think I will stop reading books about influencers, just not my cup of tea.

I very much enjoyed the concept of this book. It follows Naomi, a woman who awakens in a hospital with no memory of who she is or how she got there. She has to navigate piecing her life back together while figuring out who she can trust.

While it held my attention enough for me to keep reading, something about the pace of the story didn’t work for me. There was a lot of confusion for a while, and then everything seemed to resolve a bit too fast.

Overall, this wasn’t my new favorite book, but it was enjoyable.

Naomi wakes in a hospital, after an accident. She has complete memory loss. A man claims to be her husband and takes her out of the hospital, saying she is unsafe from a stalker. She checks her influencer posts, which show a happy life, but was it real?
A fantasy type thriller in that it is unbelievable, but a fun novel. The theme is how much of the truth of ourselves is posted on social media, and how much how we would like to be perceived.

Her Last Lie by Kyla Sharp.
Naomi wakes from an accident with no memory of her previous life. A stranger to her, Joel, claims to be her husband, and Naomi has no choice but to believe him. Joel keeps Naomi isolated and will only drip-feed her clues about the past. He says he’s just following doctor’s orders – Naomi has to take it easy or she could be overwhelmed. But Naomi can’t help feeling there’s something off about Joel and the wonderful life he claims they had together. And how did she get injured and lose her memory in the first place? And who is the strange woman who is stalking her?
I really enjoyed this book. Great read. 5*.

A really good, quick read, although a little predictable in places. A recommended enjoyable read.

Her Last Lie explores the life of a social influencer, Naomi, after she's involved in an accident that leaves her with memory loss. Who was she before the accident? Can she believe her online persona, or are the images just fiction, a projection of who she wants her fans to believe she is?

I thought this story was an interesting take on the extent that influencers will go to garner fans and sponsorships. However, there were too many plot holes that made this fast paced story a little hard to read. For instance, most of the phones that Naomi was able to access didn't need a code to open them. Who doesn't lock their phone nowadays? Naomi walks around bare footed, in a spa robe, and later in a hospital gown and no one stops her or calls the cops? Also, one of the characters, Rachelle, disappears from her hospital room, but we never find out where she went or what happened to her.

I thought this was a good effort with lots of twists, but even fiction would benefit from being a bit more plausible.

Thanks to NetGalley, Booksprout and Inkubator Books for an advance reader's copy.
