This one was a DNF for me. I made it 40% through the audiobook but gave up. It couldn't keep my interest. I'm not sure if it was because of the plot moving slowly or if it was the breathy whispering of the narrators. I just kept wanting them to enunciate more and felt like it was dragging.

Zander continues her dark sensuous retelling with this instalment but adds in darker elements that drive her story forward. Now Enosh and Ada have to fight their misgivings and perceived betrayals to save their fraught relationship. Ada is given the stage here to mature and come into her own power and it is fantastic to experience.

Our narrators again did a great job of embodying these characters and their personalities. They gave themselves over to the reading and it was evocative.

I read this book in a day! I was so excited to get a ALC of this audiobook! The narrators do a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life. I had tears in my eyes for Ada a few times she went through so much. I don’t want to spoil this listen for you so grab book one if you haven’t already and if you have grab this one and start today. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star for me is … I’m not giving that away cuz it gives some of the story away. But just know the story is good and you won’t be able to put it down!

Better then the first book. Better character development and growth. Just as creepy and macabre as the first, which I love. And I do also love a powerful woman filled with vengeance and wrath out to kill those who have wronged her.

4.5⭐️Queen of Rot and Pain by Liv Zander is a Dark Fantasy Romance. It’s book 2 of the series and sadly the end. I chose to listen to this book on audio and loved the narrators who were Auri Alden and Gregory Salinas. They were the same as in book one which I recommend reading first. The romance will take you on a roller coaster ride of pain, loss, regret and rage. And I did get my HEA but it didn’t come easily. This was one of my favorite antiheroes. I recommend this to anyone who loves dark romance.
