So many positives and really cool characters. It dragged a little for me but it definitely a good read.

I imagine this is what the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants would be if the girls grew up and forged their own way in the world but would still come to aide their sisters when required.

These sisters include Priya, Isobel, Shayne, Cait, and Eshe, but this story focuses on Priya and Isobel and their woes.

Priya meets a guy while drunk the night before a job interview, only to find out he applied for the same job. Through some underhanded and sneaky attacks by another coworker, Priya ends up losing a case, and the "panty thief" comes to her rescue with evidence that will win the case on appeal. A small romance develops with an unforeseen twist.

Isobel is blindsided when her fiancé's sex tape gets leaked, and she is forced to quit her job and doesn't know how she can afford to help her father, who is recovering from a work-related accident. She eventually gets an offer for her dream job, and then learns what her cheating fiancé's motives really were.

While these two stories had various directions they could have gone in, I felt this author took the easy route to come to a nicely wrapped up conclusion with a sappy ending. Having a "sisterhood" involving five people, but only focusing on two of them (and no sequel/series to be mentioned), was a bit of a letdown. There seemed to be too many people involved in what little plot there actually was. There was little character development, aside from their current predicaments, and Priya's mom and Isobel's dad were vague side characters as well.

As for the audio version of this story, the recording itself had varying pitches to it that was uncomfortable to listen to, and the narrator's change of voice for each character was verging on ear splitting as well. I was also reading the book along with the audio, and it was clear that the narrator had her own staccato pacing in comparison to what was written.

Overall, this book was ok but could have been better with less characters and more feeling, as it currently feels flat with little connection between love interests or the sisterhood itself.

This book is if Sex in the City and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants had a baby.

There are five "sisters" and this book focuses on Priya and Isobel. Priya has a massive lock around her heart and has only ever opened it to her four sisters. This is until she meets Hadrian her one-night stand turned coworker comes into her life. They compete for mentorship under the law firm's biggest partner until a second year starts targeting Priya. They decide to partner up and kick butt.

Isobel has been a long-term for what seems like forever until one fateful video comes to life while she is at work. This throws her entire life into chaos and the sisterhood comes together to help her get her life together.

I love that this book has both found family and enemies-to-lovers. The found family just shows how friend groups can be all you need when you are both in the happiest part of your life and the lowest point in your life.

This was pretty solid chick lit which is not really my favorite thing. I had higher hopes but it was mostly relationship and work drama.

I think the narration was well done but I don’t know that I would continue if additional books occurred.

I appreciated the opportunity to check this out.

Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad Books for access to the audiobook of Stiletto Sisterhood by Fallon DeMornay in exchange for an honest review.

This book is the epitome of a new adult contemporary story. A group of four girlfriends are navigating "adulting" for the first time.

Did I have a fun time while I was reading this book? Yes. Can I tell you any details about it now that I'm writing the review? No.

This was my first Fallon DeMornay's book. The characters are interesting. The writing is complex, and original. I liked the humor in the story. Anita Kalathara did a great job with the narration. I received a copy of this book through NetGalley, a Dreamscape Media Audio production, for an honest review.

Thanks, NetGalley and Dreamscape media, for the arc of this audiobook. First, I loved the narration of this book. I think a narrator has the power to make or break a book, and I was not disappointed with this one. This book is full of female friendship, one of my favorite themes. I love reading and listening about strong independent women, and Priya fits that bill perfectly. I was happy to be a part of Priya's world.

This was a great listen about found family. Priya, Isobel, Caitlin, Shayne and Eshe all became friends by chance but eventually their friendship became the Stiletto Sisterhood. They act and introduce each others as sisters and have each other's back no matter what happens. Priya is working towards getting a mentorship at the law firm she has just been hired at and Isobel is getting ready to have her perfect wedding, until they're not. The dreams they thought they had come crashing down but together the sisters work past that and come out stronger together. It was an uplifting listen and the narrator does an excellent job.

4 stars

Why is this a perfect listen:
+Diverse characters
+Relatable personalities
+Humorous
+Relatable
+Perfect womanhood
+Friendship goals
+Sarcastic

I found this hard to get into, but I really loved it the more I read. The prime focus of this book are Isobel and Priya, and Shane pops in once in a while. I loved Shane and would like to see the others too in a sequel maybe :) It was hard to wrap my head around the many characters and POVs, but Anita Kalathara is a great narrator and does extremely well, flowing from one accent to the other with great ease.

If the amazing style of writing doesn't make you lol from time to time, you are sure to be smiling constantly! Shane is sassy and has tons of persona (my favorite character) and so are a lot of Priya's comments.

Being an Indian, I appreciate DeMornay's effort to represent various backgrounds and I think she handled some topics brilliantly in the story. The family aspect of the book is definitely worth a mention, and I found many scenes heartwarming (esp Isobel's dad)

I hope I've already convinced you to get yourself this audiobook!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an ALC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a surprisingly good read!

I got the audio through NetGalley and that’s where my main complaints lie. With only one narrator and multiple POV (I think? It was hard to tell) it was really hard to keep everything straight with which character was up to what. There was a lot going on and I do believe that having multiple narrators would have assisted in the difficulties I experienced in the process of reading this book.

The family idea in this book is perfection. It’s focused on a found family which is my jam. I love found families and the strength that’s found within them is so reminiscent of real life that I find it enjoyable.

Big thanks to NetGalley for the access to this one!

Chase dreams, not drama.
A vow was made in a stiletto heel by the sisters and friends Priya, Isobel, Caitlin, Shayne, and Eshe. This is primarily focused on Priya and Isobel's tale, but it also follows the general path of a great female friendship. While Isobel is the sole caregiver for her father, vying for a promotion, and organizing her picture-perfect wedding, Priya is motivated to gain a mentoring at a famous law firm by her childhood hero. However, nothing in life is simple or flawless, and the sisterhood is always there to help.

This novel had depth while yet being humorous and accessible. Each character, as well as how they interacted with one another, had a quality that I adored. I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook.

3.5 stars.

I enjoyed the narrator a lot but the story, or two stories, didn't hook me enough. First I had no idea who the MC was and then it turns out there are two stories with two MC's who are friends and this book follows both of their romances. I didn't really like that. I like one story and one focal point. I thought the "stiletto sisterhood" was a great group of girlfriends and I enjoyed them all together and how they supported each other. But nothing else really stood out for me. It was an easy women's friendship book.

As Priya and Isobel chase their dreams, they form unlikely alliances and make big moves. But as drama becomes inevitable, their sisterhood is put to the test.

I really wanted to love this book, but sadly it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Isobel is planning her dream wedding while trying to level up in her career with a promotions she's long been vying for, when a video of her Fiance cheating goes viral and she sees it for the first time on Live TV. Never fear, the Stiletto Sisterhood is here! Priya, Isobel, Caitlin, Shayne, and Eshe are best friends, but sisters by choice and have sworn a vow to "Chase Dreams not Drama", when Isobel's devastating news is captured for the world to see, the sister band together to help and pick her back up. With a found family, Sisterhood of Travelling Pants (in this case, Stiletto's) kind of vibe, this story of female friendship was filled with witty remarks and funny sarcasm to boot.

I really wanted to love this book but there were many components that I felt were missing that I just couldn't ignore. What I did love about this book was the representation of strong female friendship, the bond between these women was entertaining and enjoyable to read. That said, there were a number of unbelievable parts of the story, for example one of the women being a Royal? Also, this story mainly follows the lives of Isobel and Priya while leaving out a fair amount about the rest of the ladies in the sisterhood. My rating would be higher if the fluff in the storyline would have been filled with more of the lives of the other sisters. Overall I enjoyed the narration of this book, it kept me engaged but I don't think I would have been so intrigued if I would have read a physical copy. If you enjoyed The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, you will likely enjoy this book as it definitely is an attempt at a grown up version.

I enjoyed this audiobook a lot. I really liked the characters and how different everyone was. I loved that each had their own backstory, and even though we focused on two of the sisters, I felt that the author tried her best to write each woman in a way that they stood out. I also loved that the book focused on two of the sisters, and went deep into their lives and intertwined them. It makes me think that DeMornay is planning on making this a series and writing about the rest of the sisters (please!). I'd love to get to know the other women and their lives, as well as get updates on Priya and Isobel. The love interests in this book were so attractive and likable, exactly the type of men/healthy relationships both of the sisters deserve. This book really was the perfect balance of true friendship, family, careers, and love, along with amazing writing and a good amount of steam.

This book centers around a group of 4 friends in a sisterhood who “chase dreams not drama”.
The center of this book is not a romance between two characters, but the love of a chosen sisterhood. Reminiscent of “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” even though they do not rotate any pants of stilettos.

Out of the 4 sisters, the book mainly focuses on Priya and Isobel. Priya is competing to be part of a law firm. She has to deal with nepotism, corporate politics, misogyny and racism. Isobel has to deal with her fiancé creating on her.

Both have diverse struggles and they are supported by the friends and potential love interests.

This book as the best ensemble cast of characters from any book I have read recently. There are diverse perspectives and people trying to fight for what is right.

The audiobook was nicely narrated and perfect for a road trip!

Read if you like:
- A badass group of chosen sisters
- Ensemble casts
- Multiple narrators
- Humor sprinkled throughout

Fast paced. Good story. Great female friendship. Really enjoyed. Narrator Anita Kalathara did a great job, except for Hadrian. His "voice" didn't suit him and threw me off. Really loved the strong bond and support between Priya, Isobel, Caitlin, Eshe, and Shayne. However, Caitlin and Eshe didn't really make a substantial appearance until the last quarter of the book. Shayne is a great character. Intriguing, funny, supportive. A friend every girl would want. Priya and Isobel were the main characters of this story. Both were great, but Priya especially. Her storyline I felt was much better than Isobel's and I almost eish the whole novel focused on her. Isobel's storyline felt a little boring next to Priya's. I think author Fallon DeMornay could write a book focused on each of the friends of the sisterhood and really flesh them out. If i could give inbetween ratings, I would probably but this at 3.75 stars.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audioARC.

Grown up version of the sisterhood of the traveling pants! Loved that this focused on “sisterhood” while also focusing on more serious issues and dealing with them head on. I liked the characters, but I didn’t love how they kept calling each other sisters. I get they were in a sisterhood but you’re actually just best friends, it’s a very picky thing but it bothered me for some reason. I liked that it was a fun read but also dealt with actual issues instead of just being cute.

I love contemporary romances but I don’t love “hot mess” books. This book really throws you into it. Our main character is out on the town when she finds out she has an interview the following morning. She proceeds to get black out drunk, go home with a rando and scramble with no interview clothes the following morning. I immediately find this character childish and irresponsible and no amount of claiming law aspirations will tell me otherwise. By all means, work hard play hard, but come on.
