The sisterhood is a group of five friends how vowed to always chase dreams not drama. Priya is now fighting for a mentorship at a prestigious law firm and her main rival is the man she slept with after meeting him in a bar the night before. Isobel has been caught up in planning her wedding, caring for her father, and trying to get a promotion at work. But when a secret comes to light about her famous fiancée, she finds her whole world crashing down around her. As the two friends follow very different paths, they find their worlds colliding in an unexpected way.

I was honestly surprised by how much I liked this work. It was funny and relatable, and I enjoyed that it followed two very different stories that slowly came together. The work did feel disjointed at first because the stories were quite different and didn’t blend at all, but this was a relatively minor issue. I would have liked to see more of the other sisters and their lives since they were mentioned as being anchors in Priya and Isobel’s lives but didn’t play much part in this book. However, the author probably couldn’t have included this without the work becoming unwieldy, so this aspect didn’t really bother me.

These women were strong overall, and there was a decent amount of character growth included in their storylines. Their unique personalities and different ways of approaching issues made them feel real and relatable. I did dislike that the sisterhood wasn’t really “put to the test” until the very end of the work. Since this was touted as one of the main points of conflict, I was expecting more from it and found that aspect to be a little disappointing and underwhelming.

This was a lighthearted work of romance and sisterhood that was an easy, enjoyable read. My thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for allowing me to read and review this work.

I liked this, but I didn't love this. Is it going to be a series? If not, having so many sisters in the sisterhood was excessive when we barely got to hear the rest of their stories beyond basically Priya and Isabelle's. Not that they weren't great stories, but it just didn't sit well with me that you have this whole other cast of women and their stories are barely told. It felt weird to me.

HOWEVER, I did love the kicking ass Priya did and how she had to continually overcome bias for any number of reasons, but she did so in a kick ass way. I loved Isabelle's story because it reminds women that yes, you can be jilted, but it can be a wake up call to let you know that you didn't need that person, that you can be so much more than you thought you were capable of. I loved that. And I also really loved the female friendship of it all. We don't have enough of that!

Stiletto Sisterhood
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Romance

Narrator: Anita Kalathara

I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.

My Thoughts: Initial thoughts: strong female friendship continuing to bond through life’s battles. There were moments of laughing out loud, but there was also deep thought provoking moments through this story. The narrator was amazing, she really brought the written words into strong characters, that immersed you into their lives. I am a very sarcastic person, so I adored the sarcasm throughout the book. The story is narrated by Priya and Isabella, in a dual POV, this narration also split the plot between these two characters with a third character plot sprinkled in. The only con would sometimes the split plot got in the way and seemed competitive, but overall, it still worked for the book. Priya is a strong, independent, woman with flaws, easily relatable. Isabella is kind hearted and carried a great deal of compassion. The characters were well developed, had witty banter, chemistry, and I loved how they were portrayed. The author’s writing style was complex, humorous, spicy, intriguing, and very engaging. This was a very fun book to read and I really enjoyed it. This book focused more on the sisterhood of friendship with the subplot of romance and worked very well for the storyline. If you liked the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, you will enjoy this one, I would lean towards the audiobook due to the excellant narration.

As teens, best friends Priya, Isobel, Caitlin, Eshe, and Shayne swore a vow on a designer stiletto to chase dreams over drama. Now, Priya Seth is determined to win a one-year mentorship with her idol at a prestigious New York law firm. A rival for the internship, Hadrian Marek, just happens to be last night’s hookup. They decide to form an alliance, with Priya stipulating that there will be no sex. Meanwhile, Isobel Morgan’s boss blindsides her on their live TV show with footage of Isobel’s fiancé cheating on her, and in an instant, she loses her job and her relationship. Now, she has the chance for what might be a dream job, but it would require longer hours and extensive travel, but she wants to stay home and care for her disabled father.

I could see this as the beginning of a series about the friends, especially since this book really featured only 2 of the 5 friends. I liked how they all had each other’s backs; it reminded me a bit of a grown-up Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, minus the magic pants. The characters were all well-developed. Anita Kalathara did an excellent job with the audiobook narration.

Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me an audio ARC of this book.

"Hadrian toasted [Priya] with his morning Starbucks. His eyes raked over her navy two-piece and lingered on her lacquer black pumps. 'You clean up well.' 'Are you mocking me,' she demanded, annoyed....'You know,' Hadrian leaned in casually at her side as more bodies filled the elevator, wedging them tighter back into the corner, 'it is customary to follow someone's compliment with one of your own.' Priya swung a glance at him over her shoulder. 'My hair looks wonderful this morning.'"

It's pretty easy to love Fallon DeMornay's STILETTO SISTERHOOD, a wonderful piece of women's fiction that I listened to as an audiobook. I thought it was just right for audio, and the narrator, Anita Caldera, brought it to life.

From my excerpt, it may be obvious that this book is both funny and stylish. I guffawed often from clever witticisms and snappy sarcasm. I was laughing like a fool out in my garden, hoping the neighbors wouldn't spot me! The humor stayed funny and fresh throughout the book, I never felt like it was getting in its own way, or worse, getting in the rest of the book's way.

I found the role of fashion in the book fresh, interesting, and thrilling. I love fashion in that clueless sort of way, so throwing a bunch of wonderful clothing descriptions at me that actually translate into basic English, which carries my interest far enough to run the rest of the way to Google to look up quarter lined jackets,well...I'm here for it.

Also, the spice in this book is very, very nice if you're into that sort of thing. Which it turns out I am?

I struggled a bit with the dual plot between Isabella and Priya. It's a pacing problem as these things can be. The two plots seemed to competed for the page. Also, there is a third Stilleto Sister, Shane, who functions more as a plot device than a character; I would love to see her potential reached.

I'm fairly new to the women's fiction and romance genres and I've read a fair smattering. I enjoy STILLETO SISTERHOOD for so many reasons, but mostly for this one: this book is so, so *feminine* and it feels good to get lost in that!💗

Thank you Netgally, Fallon DeMornay, and Dreamscape Media for this ARC.

This is a fun-to-read story about girlfriends helping each other through career challenges and relationship drama. It’s not really a romance, but if you like chick lit, you might enjoy this book. The narration was well done, especially given the different accents required.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I loved this book. It was a book about strong female friendships between Priya, Isobel, Caitlin, Eshe, and Shayne.

Things I loved:
1. It was deep but still had humor.
2. Characters were well done and fun to follow.
3. The title... I knew I had to read it.

I also listened to this book and loved the narrator. Very well done!

A sweet story of friendship, work-place drama, romance, you name it. This book follows a group of friends who have vowed to treat each other like sisters! And they live by that. When sisters lives are starting to fall apart they come together and lift each other up.

I really enjoyed seeing how the sisters came together and really helped each other in the different circumstances that they were put through. Each sister seems to have some hidden talent or skill that helps one another. This story has very endearing characters and one of my only complaints is that we only have the point of view of two friends instead of them all. There's a little bit of steam, romance, and a lot of figuring out who you are.

I recommend this book to anyone who found themself loving the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and seeing friendship that you strive to emulate. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story.

5 Stars: I loved it

Summary: “Chase dreams, not drama.” The Stiletto Sisterhood is a group formed by 5 childhood best friends who have sustained their close friendship through to their adulthood. This book follows two of the five: Priya and Isobel. Priya is competing for a 1-year dream mentorship at one of New York’s most prestigious law firms. On her first day she runs into one of her rivals, the man whose bed she woke up in that same morning. Isobel is caring for her disabled father and planning for her dream wedding when a video of her fiancé cheating on her goes viral. While she’s picking up the pieces of her broken relationship, Isobel receives an offer of a lifetime.

Thoughts: I loved this book! It was so much fun to read. I’m really looking forward to reading the sequel! (Idk if there’s a sequel but I’ll be very sad if there isn’t one.) If you liked The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants or Princess Diaries when you were younger or the show Drop Dead Diva you might like this book.

I received the audiobook version of this book and the narration was well done but a bit slow. If you speed it up to 1.5, it sounds normal.

What I Liked: There’s five women in the Stiletto Sisterhood but this book only focused on 2 of the 5. I’m really glad of that because if the book had tried to have five different storylines going at once, it would’ve felt like too much. It’s also exciting waiting for the next book, because then we’ll get to know the other sisters.

I haven’t read a lot of adult books that revolve around friendship, especially when it comes to stories that have main characters that are women. The plot focuses mainly on Priya, Isobel, and the sisterhood. There are romantic subplots but they are not the focus of the book.

What I Didn’t Like: It’s a little cheesy but not unbearably so.

Stiletto Sisterhood by Fallon DeMornay

While the cartoon cover would suggest a quirky rom-com, The Stiletto Sisterhood is mostly friend-centric. There is a hint of romance and steam, but it is only used as a development tool for the characters.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well executed this novel was. It has a very “women supporting women” message that I really appreciate.

The narration was excellent.

If you are looking for a fictional, but undeniably feminist beach read, this is perfect!

i love a good female, sisterhood read, and this one did not disappoint. Stiletto Sisterhood follows a group of girls and their journey to finding their place in their own lives.

This story was deep but also very relatable and witty. I loved the relationship these women had with one another. Although they were countries and continents apart they still had the strongest friendship.

The only reason i knocked this down to 4 stars is because I felt at parts there was a lot of unnecessary fluff that could have been left out, but overall i really enjoyed it!

I would love to see another book focus more on the other women, i felt this one centered on Priya and Isabella. I would love to see more into the lives of the others.

Thank you Netgalley and publisher for this audio arc in return for an honest review!

This book did a great job on showcasing the importance of friendship and sticking together through hard times. Friendships are like a sisterhood. sometime you do not always see eye to eye on everything, but at the end of the day, a friend will do whatever it is in their power to make sure they can be a great support system. A big shoutout to NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to listen to this audiobook for free for my honest review.

This is a beautiful story of friends and growth. I felt like the main love stories were Pyria's and Isobella - I mean Pryia is trying to get the dream job of her life and she is now working with an almost one-night stand who had her panties - while fending off racist, misogynist men out to get her

Isabella is a mouse of a woman who has been with her up-and-coming boyfriend since high school. Wil taking care of her dad and planning a wedding she is humiliated by a leaked sex tape and her world is turned upside down

I was into their stories and the way the other friend's stories mixed into the narration. I do feel the other ladies need a book of their own.

Although romance and love are at the forefront the story is about the friend and knowing their potential for love alone. I think this was done spectacularly to end the book with a satisfying ending

The narrator did an awesome job with all the voices because there are a lot of characters to voice in this one and I was able to tell the difference pretty easily

loved this and I am hoping for book # 2

*I listened to this as an audiobook* Such a refreshing story. This was funny, cute and deep at times. I am always going to pick up a book that highlights girl power. This story dives into the lives of a group of friends who vow to be there for one another. However the natural progression of life has them strongly to keep their bonds strong. The story mainly focuses on Isobel and Priya and how their bond carries them through the drastic changes in their life. Strong badda** women will always be top tier. While these women are strong, they are human and make mistakes and don't entirely know what they are doing.

I did not like the audio I listened to, the voices were annoying to me and it sounding like there were two people talking simultaneously. That might just be the arc copy however. I also did not like that it only focused on the 2 sister. It would have made more sense if this was going to be a continued series. Still enjoyed the story.

This was a wonderful story of friendship and healing. Each of the characters had such a unique voice and it was great to see how these women living incredibly different lives can come together to support each other. I highly recommend this!

This was a super cute and fun book to listen to! I love to have something to listen to that will keep me engaged in the story enough to distract me from the chores that I am doing. This was the ticket! Will recommend!

This pretty fun. I was hoping for it to be better but I had a good time while I was listening. I loved the dynamic between Isobel and Shayne that made me laugh. 3 stars for me

I couldn’t quite get into this but know that a huge impediment was personal to me (I’m a Harvard-educated attorney and alumna of the world of big law….and none of Priya’s story tracked with reality). Probably better suited for a younger audience; this was like babysitters club plus a few years.

This book was fun right from the start. Who doesn’t love a hookup gone wrong?! I loved that this was an adult sisterhood- meaning they were all there for each other but they also let each other live their own lives. They pushed each other when needed and just showed up when that’s what they needed too. It was a cute friendship with a couple romance stories woven together.

I’m sensing another book is coming…

🌀Synopsis
The stiletto sisterhood is formed over the words “chase dreams, not drama.”

Priya chooses to chase her dreams by pursuing a coveted mentorship at a prestigious law firm. Unfortunately for her, she gets drunk and nearly hooks up with one of the coworkers she’ll be fighting against for the spot. In a surprise twist the two actually become friends with one rule - no sex.
When Priya gets momentarily fired their chance for romance is finally there. Only to find out that Haiden has been lying to Priya so she pushes him away. She gets hired back to the firm and has to choose between herself and Haiden. Ultimately she chooses herself but also tries to make it right with him too.

On the other side of the story is Isobel who is planning her wedding. Her dreams are shattered when a video of her fiancé having sex with someone else goes viral. She loses her job and her future husband in one swoop. Her loss opens new doors though and her dream job lands on her doorstep. She decides to take it even though she fears her father will need more than she’ll have time for. In the end, he surprises her and decides to help himself heal.
Throughout it all is a common theme of friends swooping in to help and getting the girls back on their feet and chasing down their dreams again.

Refreshing book on young adults forging their oaths in life despite the obstacles they may face. I loved how they developed personally and as a friend group. There are a couple of mature scenes but not overly detailed (in case you wondered what the appropriate reading age would be) and added to the experiences these girls were having. I also enjoyed how it was easy to keep up with all storylines without living it then re-reading the retelling. This book is perfectly setup for a follow up book either on all or one at a time.
