This was such a fun audiobook. The narrator did a really good job of keeping each MC separate. It was so easy to follow along this book, inspired me to make a closer connections with friends. I got “Powerpuff girls” vibes from it LOL! Isabel was my fav MC. Great job to the author on this book. Also- shout out to Netgalley for allowing me to listen and review!

Five women meet, bond and form a forever friendship. They commit to being there for each other forever. Ride or die kind of friends. Their motto is “Chase dreams not drama” and it they hold on tight to it and each other. They are very different women and live far and wide from each other, but when life takes a turn, they are truly there for each other both literally and figuratively. Love, betrayal, loss, work issues and more. Nothing is off limit, even in the one or two moments when it should have been. Wonderful narration added to the listening experience.
Rated up to 4 stars from what would have been 3.5 if available.

Priya, Isobel, Caitlin, Eshe, and Shayne swore to always put each other first and chase dreams, not drama. They all have different things going on, but always manage to support each other every step of the way.

Priya and Isobel have the most drama out of the group. Priya hooks up with a guy just to learn that she will be competing against him for a mentorship with her lawyer idol. Now she can't tell if he is wanting to actually be friends or if he is just trying to sleep with her to distract her. Isobel is trying to plan her wedding to her longtime boyfriend who is a famous soccer player when a video is released of him cheating on her. This video leads to some big career changes for her that she is scared to make with her dad being injured at home and her responsibility. Caitlin, Eshe, and Shayne support Priya and Isobel in every way that they can, but their friendship is definitely challenge in these two situations.

Overall, I thought this book was cute and I loved the friendship the girls had. Good girl friends are hard to find. There was nothing that made me really wow in this book.

I was really, really looking forward to this on audio but sadly I just couldn't get into the story. I love books with strong female friendships at the core and usually enjoy law firm settings too. This would be perfect for fans of Suits or the new Netflix show Partner track. For whatever reason it just didn't do much for me and I ended up DNFing at around 25%. Perhaps a little too slow-paced? Definitely a me-thing though and I would still recommend this one. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to listen to an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

Chase dreams, not drama.

“What do a reluctant royal/MMA fighter, Korean fashion guru, black fashion model on the rise, TV production grunt out to change the world, and a brilliant Harvard Grad that loves tequila and loses her panties have in common? Each other.”

This was a fun romp.

Strong women and found family and rivals to lovers and diverse bodies are some of my Favourite Things.

The dialogue was a bit forced (sometimes out to teach, vs flow naturally) and the narrator, while great at accents, had a strange way of ending sentences, but in general, I’m glad this book came across my desk.

From the looks of it, this book is shaping up to be the beginning of a series and I’m interested to follow where this quartet leads.

6.5/10

Thanks to NetGalley and DreamScape Media for this ARC.

Stiletto Sisterhood reminded me of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants meets Sex in the City. Which is a weird-ish combination, but I loved the found family dynamic. Girl power, strength, and support makes this world go 'round.

I had higher hopes for this book and unfortunately it didn’t really meet my expectations. There was so much going on! There were so many main characters and since it’s written in third person (so a single narrator) it was hard to keep everyone straight. Their stories didn’t really interconnect either other than them being best friends (or “sisters” as was mentioned way too frequently in my opinion. And also a little odd that they decided to refer to their best friends as sisters when talking to outsiders - it was almost as if best friends wasn’t an important enough role to the author, but she couldn’t make them sisters because she needed them all to have different families for extra sources of conflict).

It just really missed the mark for me. I feel like it would’ve been a better story if it had focused on one girl’s experience and then gave the other girls their own books to develop their stories. There were five main characters and I feel like only two of them really got main storylines… with the other characters just there for the main two character’s benefit. Additionally, the conflict felt too forced at times and would quickly resolve just to get to a new conflict instead.
