A good page-turner that I was able to get through in one day. Good character development and some definite twists that weren’t totally expected. Definitely recommend this to others who like thrillers that are fast paced.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

This is a great psychological thriller, full of unexpected twists and turns with a very creepy atmospheric feel to it that made me so uneasy I couldn’t read it in bed!!. Riona and her friends are putting their lives in danger by drinking near Quarry Lake, which has become a hunting ground for a serial killer who targets young girls in the region. A splash and a scream are heard, causing them to search for the cause before running away in fear. Years later "I'm watching you" notes were sent to Riona, Erika, and Stacey.

Has the murderer come back to wrap up the events of that night? I'm Watching You was fantastic, too! The story contains some unexpected disclosures that kept me guessing because I couldn't figure out who was behind the notes or why they were there. Riona was a charming, if naïve, girl. Therefore, I didn't understand why someone would be manipulating her feelings in such a way.

The characters are well developed; the pace is quick, and I found myself questioning their sincerity throughout. I'm also not sure I'll ever look at someone in a hi-vis jacket the same way again. Overall, I thought this story was a really interesting read that you should definitely check out.

A tad confusing at times with the back and forth timelines, but eventually grasped it and persevered. Plenty of drama and suspense.

I thought the title was eye-catching alongside the cover, and I really enjoyed this serial killer thriller. I thought it was strongly written, plotted and executed. It kept me hooked as I had to know what was going to happen.

I liked the ending and didn't see the twist coming.

A exciting physcological thriller with twists and shocks. A well crafted storyline and it is scary, tense and unbearably creepy.

This was the first book I've read by this author but it won't be the last. I was wrapped up completely in the storyline. It was intense and I had so many questions and guesses and was shocked by the twists and turns that was thrown my way.

Fans of nerve-shredding thrillers will be gripped by Amanda Brittany’s chilling new thriller, I’m Watching You.

Twelve years ago in Quarry Lake, three young women all with dark hair had been viciously attacked by a figure clad in a yellow jacket. One of them had been brutally murdered, the other was left in a coma while the third woman escaped. The small town had lived in terror of this killer for well over a decade. Riona and her friends had grown up with tales of this dangerous murderer stalking the lake looking for his next victim and the summer before university, they decided to head to Quarry Lake to spend an evening drinking cider, sharing stories and discussing their hopes for the future. The three of them hear a noise and despite their fears, they cannot resist indulging their curiosity and taking a look – a decision that will have far-reaching consequences…

Riona returns back to town after some years away. The killer has never been caught and although she has spotted a mysterious figure in a yellow jacket staring intensely at her, she dismisses her fears – until a note is shoved through her letterbox: I’m Watching You. Riona’s past has caught up with her and she must watch her step – or she could be the killer’s next victim…

Amanda Brittany’s I’m Watching You is a chilling thriller that is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Dark, disturbing and with more twists and turns than a rollercoaster, this heart-pounding page-turner is tense, terrifying and will keep readers on the edge of their seats throughout with a brilliant blend of action, menace and suspense.

A must for readers who like their thrillers creepy, Amanda Brittany’s I’m Watching You is not to be missed!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
Decent book even though it was a bit confusing at times.

Riona is spending her last summer in her hometown of Ensley before she goes off to college. Nothing ever happens there until a woman is attacked by the lake there, followed by more women being attacked also.
I think the first half of the book was great but the second half was a bit too over the top with drama. It made the ending kinda disappointing. Overall this book was okay but could have been improved with the second half. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

I really enjoyed this but I did find it a bit hard to get into and confusing at times. Glad I stuck with it though as it was a good read.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ -- Great cover on this book!

This was a highly entertaining read. As long as you don't think too much. 😂 A lot of the story was far fetched and convoluted. The characters weren't the brightest bulbs (why did no one just open the frigging cellar door??!!) It was pretty obvious who was behind everything. That said, it sucked me in and i read it all in one sitting. There are also some good twists and red herrings along the way. So yeah, this is one of those books that is perfect for just zoning out and going with the flow! 👍🏻👍🏻

This great read spirals towards its dark conclusion, wrong footing the increasingly uneasy reader at every turn. This twisty thriller is jam-packed with tense moments and a growing sense of unease…..

⭐️⭐️⭐️/3.5 stars

It's not safe to go to Quarry Lake, alone, and especially at night. Three young women have both been attacked by someone seen wearing a yellow hi-vis jacket. Twelve years later, the Ensley Killer has not yet been caught.

Riona was spending her last summer in Ensley before heading off to university when these events occurred. Now she is back in town and she starts receiving creepy notes and someone is posting pictures of her on an anonymous Instagram account.

Is the killer back? When she starts to glimpse the yellow jacket wherever she goes she knows she is in danger. What really happened that summer at Quarry Lake?

This book was pretty suspenseful. There was almost too many confusing twists all happening at once and it almost felt like a little too much. Overall, not too shabby 🙂

Although the premise of the story was enticing, I found the back and forth timeline and different characters voices and points of view a bit confusing. I did however, finish the book and the ending was great. An enjoyable read, just a bit confusing.
Thank you NetGalley for providing this copy. The opinion here is solely my own.

A brilliant well written book that I could just not leave down , such a fantastic story that left you guessing right to the end but a really good ending that explained everything that unfolded throughout the book . Brilliant characters that were so well written about you felt you were in their lives with them . A brilliant story told with many a shock and a wow as you read chapter after chapter not wanting to leave it down. I would really recommend this book as a must read.

Review and Rating 3⭐️

Young women are being viciously attacked and killed by someone in a yellow hi-vis jacket near Quarry Lake in the town of Ensley.

Riona is home for the summer before leaving to attend university. One night she and her friends are at Quarry Lake when they hear something suspicious. They investigate and find a candle burning in an old boathouse. Finding nothing, the girls go on with their lives. The Ensley killer is never caught.

Now many years later, Riona begins seeing a figure in a yellow hi-vis jacket lurking around. She and her friends from the night at Quarry lake receive menacing letters that say simply ‘I’m watching you’.
Soon, bad things begin to happen to Riona and one of her friends goes missing. Has the Ensley killer returned?

This was not my favorite thriller, especially at first. It was really hard for me to get in to reading and it took me longer than usual to finish. It seemed to me to really drag in some parts and I just didn’t connect with any of the characters. The multiple POV, past and present timelines, and many characters also made for a bit of confusion at times.
I hung in there and finished it up and the plot did get more interesting to me later in the book. I am rounding it up from 2.5 ⭐️ to a solid 3 ⭐️.

I want to thank #Netgalley, #Joffe books, and Amanda Brittany for providing an eARC. All opinions expressed in this review are my

This is a a great psychological thriller, full of unexpected twists and turns with a very creepy atmospheric feel to it that made me so uneasy I couldn’t read it in bed!! Amanda Brittany always delivers a gripping read for me and that’s why she’s one of my “go to” authors!

When Riona and her friends spend time drinking by Quarry Lake, they are risking their lives as the lake has become the hunting ground for a serial killer who has been targeting young girls in the area. They hear a splash and a scream but they run away, too scared to do more than briefly search for the cause of the sounds. But years later, Riona, Erika and Stacey receive notes saying “I’m Watching You”. Has the killer returned to tie the loose ends of that night?

I thoroughly enjoyed I’m Watching You! There are some shocking revelations throughout the narrative that kept me on my toes, unable to pinpoint who was responsible for the notes or work out exactly why! Riona was a likeable if somewhat naive character and I couldn’t work out why someone would be playing with her emotions like they were! Her aunt Bernie was another likeable character and I would love to have had more of her in the book-in fact I think I can see a nice spin off book for her in the future!

I do love dysfunctional families and at the heart of I’m Watching You is a family who struggle to form and maintain relationships with others. I’m always fascinated by the “nature versus nurture” debate and here there was plenty for me to think about as the plot gradually gave up more of its secrets to the reader. From about half way through I couldn’t put the book down and the ending certainly lived up to my expectations.

Highly recommended!
