I would like to thank NetGalley for giving me this arc in exchange for an honest review
This book is apparently part of a series and I didn't know that. But that didn't get in the way of my enjoyment of this installment in the series. I could enjoy it without feeling lost. The illustrations were really cute and I enjoyed the characters well enough. Although I have a slight complaint and it is about the cover. It depicts what looks like a black girl and in the story there were no black girls so it sort of felt quite deceptive to me so this is just a heads up for anyone who wants to read this based purely on the cover

This installment of the Magical Rescue Vets finds Kat and Rosie trying to help creatures in a nearby lake. They get help from Suki the Sea Dragon.

I think this story would be great as a read aloud story. The writing was not my favorite but as a night story for kids, I think it would be good because there is great whimsy in it.

Magical Rescue Vets is such a great series. The characters and illustrations are beyond cute and engaging.

When all the sea creatures are spooked and hurrying out of the water, Kat and Suki go down into the waters to find out what is scaring the sea creatures.

I loved that there was a mystery and some personal struggle within the story. That really keeps the littles involved in the story and helps them to see that we all have our own struggles and worries.

This is a great story and one to have on our bookshelf at home.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc.

another cute story in the Magical Rescue Vets series, I've been enjoying the previous entry in the series. The characters were what I was hoping for and I enjoyed the use of magical creatures. Melody Lockhart has a great writing style that works for a children's novel.

"There was a watery roar from the darkness, and Suki came scampering out to greet them. She was delighted to see the two girls again and bounded in circles around them, butting them gently with her curved horns."

Thank you so much to Arcturus and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

All the sea creatures are scurrying out of the water, Kat sees it scare the beautiful sea dragon Suki who scurries out too being scared. With magic potions and Suki’s help they dive down to the Mer-elves and find out what is a scaring all the creatures.

I loved Suki what a beautiful creature she was and I really loved the connection she formed instantly with Kat and Rosie. Even though Suki was scared of it, if it meant helping her friends she was willing to do it, it was really adorable.

I liked that we had a mystery within this story and not really know what the monster was or why it was there and scaring all the creatures and that no one could see it properly or find it easily. It was a really interesting element to this story.

Kat had some personal struggles and worries within this one with her struggling to read, write and spell at school, plus her teacher wanting a parents meeting. Then to struggle with making potions at the vets, it was really sad that she was struggling and felt really down throughout this book.

This was a really cute story and it was different in some ways to the others in the series, but still was a great addition to the series and we got to meet even more new creatures and beings. I will always recommend this series, they are really magical, have so many creatures and has a great lesson of friendship and kindness through out, plus they are just fun.
