When the hero's latest mission ended up with him being captured, he met the heroine as the two are forced into the same cell. Their captivity made them get closer to each other, but their rescue brought up questions that could bring some truths that they may not like about their time at captivity. How can these paranormal couple get their happy ending when so many obstacles are in front of them?

This is the second book in The Crown's Wolves series. The book does provide some relevant information about the series, but for a better image about the overall plot, it's advised to read the series in order. This paranormal book by Zoe Forward is an entertaining read that features strong characters and unexpected twists. There were some unanswered questions that will be resolved in the future progression of the series, but I would have still liked more details within this book that would have made the story transition better. Overall, this is an enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more Zoe Forward books in the future.

This was a great addition to The Crown's Wolves series. I really loved the first book, and this one certainly didn't disappoint. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and constantly had me want to know what was the next thing to happen. I was expecting book two at first to follow the same main characters, but I think it was interesting and well handled to have it be from a different couples perspective through their journey. I can't wait to see where else this series goes from here. Thank you NetGalley for an arc of this book.

Under a Wicked Moon is the second book in The Crown Wolves Series and I must say it is just as good if not better than the first book Bad Moon Rising. Under a Wicked Moon opened with a blast and kept on rolling. Once I picked up Under a Wicked Moon there was no way I could put it down until I read every word.

All I wanted to know was Ky’s and Vivi’s fate. I wanted to know why they were locked up in that cell together. I had to know who put them there and why? I had to know if they were ever going to get out? Was help coming? Or were they going to have to find a way to escape all on their own? If so then how were they going to get out? And were they going to make it out alive?

The first book Bad Moon Rising told the story of Ky’s brother Roman and Vivi’s sister, Nova. Under a Wicked Moon tells Ky’s and Vivi’s stories. Vivi and Ky wake to find they’re locked in a cell with no way out that they can see right away. Vivi wants nothing more than to escape and find her sister Nova.

It doesn’t take Ky and Vivi long to figure out why they were put in the same cell alone together. Whoever has taken them hostage knows a lot about them like they know that it is their mating time. Ky and Vivi fight to mate as they know that is exactly what their captors want. But that is not going to be easy for either of them as their body's heat is turned way up.

I highly recommend Under a Wicked Moon to all paranormal creature fans! One-click your copy of Under a Wicked Moon today!

I really like this series, I like the characters, I like the world building and the take on “wolves” is unique. The only real issue I have with both this book and Bad Moon Rising is that the story line lost me near the end. I’m not sure if it’s because that there really is an issue or if there is just so much happening that I got lost. Whatever the reason and regardless of my confusion, I’m still enjoying the wild ride this author has been taking readers on so far.

Under a Wicked Moon isn’t a very easy book to read. The cards are stacked totally agains Vivi and Ky from the moment that they meet. It’s honestly hard to figure out how they’ll finally reach their HEA and even by the end, things are far from over for either them or Roman and Nova – or any of the brothers really.

There were lots of twists, turns and crazy revelations. Almost too many to keep track of. The one thing I’m sure of is that there is much more to come and I can’t wait to get to know the rest of the Crown’s Wolves and their allies better as the series continues.

UNDER A WICKED MOON is the second book in The Crown's Wolves series. Roman and Nova started the series; Vivi and Ky continue it. We start off with Ky going undercover - alone. He knows his brothers will be slightly miffed as they've always agreed to never go it alone. However, when the douchebag - sorry, I mean, the monarch - gives an order, Ky has no option but to do as he is told. There, he meets Vivi. The attraction is instantaneous but, being as the humans appear to want them to breed, both Vivi and Ky are determined to fight it every step of the way. It gets more complicated once they escape, moving the story along in leaps and bounds.

I thoroughly enjoyed book one, and book two is no different. I love these brothers, how they are so different in so many ways, and yet loyalty runs strong and true amongst them all. You get more hints at another brother, which I am also loving. Of course, you know it's not going to be easy for Vivi and Ky but I never realised just how hard. Oh, my poor heart got pummelled!

However, it was a brilliant read, keeping my attention from the first word to the last. I am loving how this story is moving and changing, even though the monarch doesn't appear to change at all. Jerk! I'm guessing it will be Shane's turn next, but whether it's him or Flynn, I'll be happy either way.

A great addition to the series that I have no hesitation in recommending.

Real rate 3.5

The series has a lot of potential. I like the part about brother lycans cursed and helped by angels. You will fall in love with Ky and how he thinks about the other before himself. I felt that there were too many blackouts during the imprisonment. Some event missed link to get right together.

I love paranormal romance books and thought that this one would be right up my alley. Unfortunately, it fell short. I found that there was a lot going on in the plot and that made it hard to follow at times. I think if you like books that have intricate world building mixed with romance then I think you'll enjoy this series.

Ky is a lycan male trapped in service to the Crown of England. In his most recent mission, he is told to be captured in order to get intel on this secret facility. Only after his capture, does he realize that the mission isn't that simple and that there is more to the tempting lycan female, Vivi, he shares his cell with than meets the eye. As they work to trust each other and to escape, the truth of what was done to them comes to light. Ky and Vivi must decide if they can survive freedom together when they barely trust themselves.

I loved the protective nature of Ky towards Vivi without being controlling or treating her with kid gloves. He put her needs and desires before his own from the very beginning. Vivi is a strong heroine with a soft heart. I loved that she wouldn't have chosen any of the things that happened to her, but would dust herself off and fight for what she believed in. Their fast development of feelings for one another could have felt rushed, but the balance between the paranormal/fated-mates elements and action events allowed the relationship to feel realistic (even including a reasonable amount of skepticism).

This was my first Zoe Forward novel and I have to say that I was captivated by the world that she had created. In her author's note, Zoe Forward mentions that she merges genres together and that is definitely true in this fast-paced mix of a blockbuster action movie and a swoony paranormal romance. Normally, I would not jump into the middle of a series, but the concept utterly captivated me. I could not wait to pick up this book long enough to start at the beginning of the series. That being said, I strongly recommend starting at the beginning of the series. The plot has several aspects that tie over from the first book and an overarching plot line. Plus, what I saw of Roman and Nova was absolutely gold and I want to read their story as soon as possible. But I was able to jump into the middle of the story with minimal confusion.

Content Warnings: Kidnapping, Captivity (malnutrition, lack of cleanliness, lack of privacy, improper logging and clothing), Action Scenes, Guns and Weapons, Violence, PTSD and Trama, Mind Control/Coercion, Experimentation, Forced Drugging, Memory Loss
*None of these were graphically depicted in my opinion but use your best judgement to keep yourself safe when reading.

I was going to write my own summary of this book but the blurb really sums it up too well for me to try and replicate it.

There was a lot going on in this book; mystery, magic, action, spicy romance. I enjoyed the characters, especially Ky’s brothers. The middle of the book got a little confusing for me and was a little slow. I didn’t realize this was the second book in a series, but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment of it.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher and this is my honest review. (For Amazon)

Who Can They Trust?

Ky Lanzo was a Lycanthrope and was on a mission, his orders had been to let himself be captured. Things went horribly wrong, he was captured but all his gifts were taken from him and he was drugged and subdued then put into a room with a female Lycan called Vivi who had also been experimented on. They both had to fight hard to resist the attraction on the full moon to mate which is what their captures were looking for.

Finally after one of their attempts to escape, he managed to get a signal sent to one of his brothers, who then proceeded to rescue them both. Ky and his brothers had been cursed to protect the King but things we’re not as they seemed and betrayal was happening everywhere. Who could be trusted?

What an action packed story which kept me engrossed throughout and I couldn’t put it down until it was finished. It’s not my normal type of read but I have to say it was brilliant. There is so much going on from finding love, betrayal, magic, secrets, gods, it kept you engrossed until the end. I’m really looking forward to the next adventure within the series.

This is the first time I’ve read from this author and I would recommend reading this book if you’re into paranormal reads with a difference.

He is captured and put into a cell with a beautiful women . A beautiful female wolf and a male wolf in the same cell on a full moon night and she’s in heat. Well read to see what heappens.

This book grabbed me right from the first page. It was fast paced and sucked me right in. It was a stressful read, but deliciously so! The H in this book was broody and dangerous and the author did a great job detailing his mental journey. Ky and Vivi managed to storm though all the obstacles and challenges together

Thank you to NetGalley for this eARC. I am leaving this voluntary review, willingly.

Ky is a Lycan, an assassin, and he’s old (well in human years). He’s also cursed. Cursed to serve the crown until they deem it otherwise.

Part of his curse requires him to follow their every order, currently being captured and held hostage by mad scientists who introduce him to Vivi. Another Lycan who’s been there much longer.

There’s secrets, mages, powers, gods, angels. There’s so much jam packed in to this book that it was hard for me to read. It’s quite long as well, but I feel like it could be broken in to pieces and more time taken on each piece.

It’s a decent read, if you’ve got the time and ability to build the world in your head.
