The twists and turns com thick and fast, the characters are brilliant, and it is a gripping read.
Grab it, read it, and love it!

I wished I’d read the other books in the series. But hadn’t realised when I selected it, it was a good read all the same. It was addictive and I couldn’t put it down once I started it. Love a good gangster read. The book was very well written I just need to go read the rest in the series

This was a great final installment to this series with plenty of suspense, twists, and turns. I loved it but hate for the series to end.
Many thanks to Harpercollins UK and to Netgalley for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

I was totally hooked from the first page. This book pulls you in and captivates you.

Book 8 in the Carter family and the last one in the series. It was good to catch up with the characters.

Grace and Michael were the king and queen of Gangland Liverpool and have retired to Spain leaving the business side to their Children to run. When little Isla their 8-year-old grandaughter is kidnapped they immediately fly home.
They are out for revenge and will stop at nothing to dish it out.
Just wow what a smash this is, it's a book that will keep you turning the pages until the very end ending with smoke as it's hot.
Crime, corrupt police, torture, and anything else you could possibly want in a gangland crime book. This is a must to read.
Thank you so much NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this excellent book. xx

The latest episode in the life of Liverpool gangster family The Carters. It has its very predictable level of violence and follows the same style as previous books . Without having read previous books in this series much os the story would be difficult to understand as much of the characterisation and story line refers to earlier plot lines and events.
I would not class this as a serious crime novel more of a quick read on holiday type of book.

Gangland family sagas are my favourite and Grace Carter is definitely the person you want on your side.

Another absolutely gripping part to this amazing series , each book, in my opinion, just gets better as it delves deeper into the life’s of the carters and there crew, I actually feel like I know them personally. As always lots of toe curling moments of torture and a fantastic plot that makes you just want to keep reading, can’t wait to see what’s in store for them all next.

Another enjoyable read in this great series about this series set in Liverpool. I never thought I would grow to like a gangster family, but I have to say that despite what they are doing I admire the loyalty in the book. The family’s little girl disappears, the police is on the case, but no police is needed in the end, because “the professionals are on the case”.

I thoroughly enjoyed the pace in this book. It was a fairly short read, but I felt it was perfect for the story. Well-written, great plot, I feel the characters growing, and I simply enjoyed the read as a whole.

I have absolutely loved this bad blood series following the lives of Grace and her family. Grace has certainly had some ups and downs in her life starting off with Nathan her first husband. After all the trauma and upset with Nathan now in the past Grace and Michael have taken their youngest children to Spain leaving their eldest children to run the business. Getting a phone call saying that their Granddaughter Isla has been taken has them on the first plane back to Liverpool. Can Grace save her family one more time. A fab fast paced read that you will not want to put down. It’s sad when a series comes to an end but it’s also exciting as we wait to see what Caz will have in store for us next. A five star series that I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another classy novel from Caz Finlay based in Liverpool.

Grace Carter's granddaughter goes missing and there is no ransom demand and nobody seems to know anything about it. The Carters do not know which of their enemies would do such a thing.

Another action packed story keeping the reader on the edge of their seat throughout.

Highly recommended.

Book 8 of the Bad Blood series & Caz has done it again! What a brilliant read, I actually had tears running down my face more than once reading this. I can't recommend this series highly enough!

This is book 8 in the bad blood series. I have read some of the others but not all of them.

I enjoy these books I find them easy to read. They can be quite dark in parts.

I love the series and I loved this too

Bad Blood, Book 8

when Grace Carters granddaughter goes missing, the family pulls out all stops to find her. But with no ransom demand and no contact from the kidnappers, no one knows where to turn. Thena a sinister message directed at grace informs the family that this isn't business. The abduction is personal.

I can't believe I have just finished the last book in the Bad Blood series. Grace is living in Spain when her granddaughter goes missing. She returns with Michael to find her granddaughter Isla. But who has dared to cross the Carters?

Once again, we have an action packed, gripping, edge of your seat read. I have loved every book in this well written series, and I feel like i know all the characters personally. There are a few separate threads to this story, but they are tied up seamlessly by the end. Grace will do anything to get her granddaughter back. We also get the perfect conclusion to a marvellous series. Yes, I'm a bit disappointed that the series has come to an end, but I'm also looking forward to reading what Caz has in store for us next.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #HarperCollinsUk #OneMoreChapter and the author #CazFinlay for my ARC of #AScoreToSettle in exchange for an honest review.

I’d like to thank HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘A Score To Settle’ the eighth in the Bad Blood series written by Caz Finley, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

The Carters stand together through thick and thin and when eight-year-old Isla, daughter of Jake and Siobhan Conlon and granddaughter of Grace Carter, goes missing the family intend punishing those responsible before the police find them.

I knew I was going to enjoy ‘A Score To Settle’ before I’d reached page two and I haven’t been disappointed. Although there’s not as much bloodshed as some of those previously in the series, it’s more than compensated for by the well-written plot that has all the tension and drama I’ve come to expect along with plenty of intrigue and twists and turns. The conclusion makes me think this will in fact be the final part of the series. I do hope not but all good things, and thrillers, come to a perfect end.

This wasn’t the usual vicious story that Caz normally writes, in fact it was quite mild!

Grace’s grandchild is kidnapped and with no clues as to her whereabouts , no ransom, nothing, the family are at a loss to know where she’s gone.

Grace and Mike hotfoot it back from Spain to lend a hand in the hunt, and old favours are called in.

It was good to have Grace back in the fold with her experience and steely determination, somehow the books are not the same without her. The grittiness isn’t there. It’s like watching Dynasty without Alexis!

While this was an enjoyable read, it wasn’t as exciting as the others I’ve read in the series, and didn’t hold my attention as much.

My thanks to the author, the publishers and Netgalley for the ARC.
