If you live in or around Los Angeles or really have just been here more than once, there’s a few very trivial silly things that might grind your gears, namely that no one in their right mind tries to park in downtown LA and those who are brave enough to try do not get a spot lmao. Also, indie coffee is really good in LA so the starbucks mentions seem a bit out of place but again, trivial and silly. On the book as a whole, I really enjoyed it. As a 20something loner, I unfortunately related very deeply to Nina and it feels like she’ll be heavy on my heart for a while. Ari was a perfectly fine love interest but since it’s not dual POV i feel like we didn’t get her as fleshed out as possible. And the third act breakup was so weird?? I’ve read a lot of romance and this one is up there with most benign miscommunication being so entirely blown out of proportion. I really did love the dynamic between Nina and Ari. What we got of Ari in terms of characterization was wonderful and her being so proud of her identity was spectacular. Nina and her relationship with her friends was everything to me. The gripes I have are minimal and come down to my personal connection with any given character and their dialogue. Overall, my pros are the characters and their relationships and my cons are the nonsensical descriptions of LA and not feeling like every character was as fleshed out as they could have been. I’m giving For Her Consideration 4.5⭐️

This didn't work for me. The writing was a little repetitive and didn't flow as well as I'd hoped. I think it would also have worked better as a dual POV, and I think we lost a lot not seeing Ari's side.

This was a cute sapphic romance that didn't shy away from the harder parts of life. I had a little trouble getting into the story at first, but once I was in, I enjoyed every second of it.

The chemistry between Nina and Ari was incredible. However, when Nina's insecurities took up more room in the story, this too easily drifted from a romance to a women's fiction novel. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean this isn't a mindless and happy romance.

I like the narrator for the audiobook very much. You could clearly hear the difference between the characters and their personalities, which sadly isn't always a given with audiobook narrators.

I think I might have preferred this if it was dual POV, I found that the third act breakup was a bit of an odd one, maybe it would have been better if you had Ari's POV as well, but I liked that Nina's issues weren't magically resolved by her falling in love, she actually sorted out some therapy.

i was really looking forward to this but the writing struck me as very wattpaddy which is a pity as there are few romcoms focusing on sapphic couples...

If you know me, you know I love rom-coms, especially with celebrities involved, and this one did not disappoint!
My favorite thing about this book were the dynamics between Ari and Nina – their conversations, inside jokes and just all of their interactions made my heart so full and I was really rooting for them! To me, connecting to the characters and their love story is very important in a romance novel, and this one definitely did that for me! I loved both of their personalities so much and I could connect well with both of them. Nina’s attitude about certain things was sometimes a little bit frustrating, but throughout the book, she develops a lot as a character, which was very nice to see. Ari was just amazing, you just had to fall in love with her positive personality. The book also has adorable found-family dynamics in Nina’s friend group, which just made me want to be part of this group!
I also really flew through this book, it was a really quick and fun read and I just kept wanting to see more of the two protagonists together! The writing style was easy to follow and the chapters had a good length. The book has a few steamy scenes, but it is mostly just a heart-warming rom-com, which is my favorite type of rom-com!
I have no points of criticism and I had a great time reading this, so I give it 5 stars!

I am new to reading LGBTQ stories but if this is how they are then sign me up for all of them. Basically Love is love and when you find it no matter how hard or how many people tell you no, you grab onto that person and choose to be happy and in love.

If you’re searching for a Sapphic Hollywood romance with Insta love, then this book is for you.

After a painful breakup and determined to save her friends from herself, Nina becomes a recluse. Her job as a celebrity ghost-writer allows her little interaction and the ability to work from home. When a difficult celebrity client complains about her work, Nina finds herself meeting her celebrity crush, up-and-coming proud queer actress, Ari Fox. There’s an instant connection between the pair and they find themselves unable to stay away from one another.

Nina’s character development was excellent throughout; I found that she was such a relatable and likable character. I adored Nina and Ari’s interactions throughout especially their banter. They are literally the perfect pair.

The only part of the book that didn’t sit right with me was the three-year non-contact with Nina’s friendship group and Phoebe’s response to seeing her friend for the first time in three years; the dead rumour ‘joke’ fell a little flat.

I was convinced in the beginning that this love story was going to go down a completely different route - but I’m glad it went down the route it did!

A fun, spicy read, following Nina Rice as she (finally) gets over her last long term relationship, questions what’s next in her career, and sends one email that wasn’t quite right - sending the rest of her life into a tailspin - that ends with one Ari Fox.

A Hollywood lover story - will it end in happily ever after?

4 Stars!

I officially have found my first bookish woman crush and that is Ari. Honestly she was beyond swoon-worthy. Anyway... lets move swiftly on!

It starts off with Nina been broken up with at the very beginning and jump forward 3 years we see where she is now, she's lost touch with a lot of people and is in a job she may not necessarily want. Enter Ari. There's so much more to this book though, it looks at re-kindling friendships, working through certain traumas and starting new relationships even though they might be super scary.

In my opinion I found Nina to be a very relatable character and it felt very eye opening in some senses. Nina isn't really one to go head on into things and will often run away from her problems and just avoid things. The two main factors here are relationships and her job. She avoids relationships that she doesn't want to get hurt from, and when issues arise once again she pushes away from them to avoid the conflict and then in regards to her job there is that sense of fear that she'll be rejected.

On both of these I think that her past trauma comes into play massively and the main reason to her insecurities. I think in a sense I felt this was relatable to many people, if someone tells you you're not good enough or points out a flaw I think with many people this sticks with them and can niggle away making a person become quite insecure with certain things.

I have to say, I absolutely adored Ninas friendship group. You could see them all individually and as a group and how they all slot in with one another. The support they all gave one another for whatever was going on and how open and welcoming they were I just loved that and wanted to be friends with them all.

The relationship between Nina and Ari I was such a fan of. I think they just complimented each other so well and got where the other was coming from. They both definitely had their flaws but it was something they both wanted to work on and it wasn't necessarily a negative.

This is my only downside to the book... SO I think in some aspects the cimmunication was *chef kiss* stunninggggg, outstanding a solid 10/10. We loved seeing people talking openly and honest about their thoughts, feels and what they wanted but THEN in some aspects it was like Y U DO DIS.

Overall, pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this. So many elements I loved, great characters, found family and actual family. Looooooooove it!

This was a fun and relatable sapphic romance.
It was a bit slow to get going but once it did, I enjoyed it.
I did struggle with the number of times that the main character was self deprecating about herself. It got to the point that, even though I understood why she felt this way, it got repetitive quite quickly.
It would also have been nice to have a dual POV, as I find that they really add to the way that I interpret a romance.
However, I really adored Nina's friends and family and this book definitely made me want to visit Los Angeles. The way in which everything was described has me longing to visit myself sometime soon.

This was a fairly cute and interesting read. I liked the plotting of the action and felt as if this was well paced and it kept me hooked for the most part. I liked the relationship between Nina and Ari, and felt that it seemed very grounded and believable. The action was good and i liked how the writing style helped convey this too.

First of all, I would like to thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review!

For Her Consideration follows the story of Nina, who writes emails for celebrities. Nina had a bad break up with her ex-girlfriend and pretty much avoided all relationships that involve getting close to a person. After receiving a complaint from a celebrity, on the rise queer actress Ari Fox, Nina is forced into the world she has so desperately avoided. Will Nina learn to embrace herself as she is, in order to build new relationships again?

Okay, so lets discuss this plot. Usually I hate the whole “my break up made me leave everything behind and now I’m a hermit” type of situation and I try to steer clear of it. I didn’t realize this was that kind of situation, so I jumped in without any judgment. I honestly get the thought process of Nina SO MUCH. Thinking you are causing the people you love stress, anxiety or worse? Taylor (Nina’s ex) was so in the wrong for making Nina think the issues were all her fault. This made me instantly connect to Nina, feeling like you are more of a pain to people than you bring them joy. Nina her job is so interesting to read about, I never even thought about the whole process and team that must be behind the many social medias that exist in the life of a celebrity. Nina meeting Ari was super adorable. Nina kind of instantly crushed on Ari because of how proud she was of Ari owning her sexuality, but she fought it so hard.

The characters are very well written and thought out. I have to say that Ari is my favorite character overall, I love how she’s so authentically herself and doesn’t apologize for spending time with the people she cares about, even if it takes a lot out of her day.
Nina is a very well written character as well and I love how she embraces herself, even though I felt like the whole “I’m plus size but I deserve to be loved” was a bit exaggerated at times.

Overall I really enjoyed this story, I would absolutely recommend it as it is a nice romance read!

Holy crap! Nina is my absolute fave. The messy, fun bits of her remind me of a lot of my friends. Shes so relateable. Ari is such a dream! She treats Nina amazingly, even with the mishaps that happen. I absolutely LOVED Lorna, she's such a fun character plus with her age comed wisdom. I loved every bit about how this book played out. The author has such an amazing writing style, it just sucked me into the story with every word. I had to keep reading as I wanted to see how the book played out. And dang ol Steve, he's still a mystery. Lol

I really enjoyed For Her Consideration. Celebrity romance isn’t something I read often but this book reminded me of why I like it. The LA glamour was very well grounded and balanced out by normal day-to-day life. While Ari is a rising star and Nina has an unconventional job I found both characters very relatable.

The build up of Nina and Ari’s relationship was a lot of fun and their chemistry was believable. This pair had me smiling so much.

While of course I enjoyed the romance, I also loved seeing Nina with her friendship group that were more of a found family and Nina’s close relationship with her Aunt. These characters brought a lot of humour to the book but also drove home the importance of communication and trust.

I would definitely read another book by this author!

Read For:
• Sapphic romance ❤️
• Healing of old wounds
• Single POV (Nina’s) 📖
• Found family (and all of the brunches) 💕
• Lorna (Nina’s supportive aunt)
• Characters automatically introducing themselves with their name & pronouns 🎉
• Steve the mysterious cat 🐈

Rating: 4.5/5🌟
Steam Level: 3.5/5🔥

After an apocalyptic breakup, Nina Rice cannot immagine herself at the center of a Hollywood life. She just isn't made for it, so she'll settle for working as an agent for the rest of her life, forgoing friends, fun, and love. That is, until she meets Ari. Sweet, brilliant, charming Ari, who should be absolutely off-limits because she's an actual star and one of Nina's clients. But then again, life is not a movie to be scripted...

This is a really cute sapphic romance with a (big) dash of learning to love yourself and to let others into your life, even or especially in those moments when you feel weak and vulnerable. Nina and Ari's relationship is very wholesome, and despite it technically being a workplace romance there aren't uncomfortable power dynamics.

My biggest (and practically only) issue with this book was that the main character's self-deprecation was annoying and repetitive at times. Fortunately, her friends were there to put some sense into that silly head (what do you mean one person's opinion of me should not shape the entirety of my life's decisions??) and bring some extra joy into this book. Honestly, the friend group really made this book worth it.

This story is not too dense but has just the right amount of depth to keep you interested and wanting more. I absolutely recommend this if you're looking for a light and fluffy read, or are in need of a pick-me-up.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

{AD|GIFTED} I absolutely adored this wlw romance with plus-size rep and my favourite found-family trope.

Nina was an interesting main character as she had so many issues to work through. Her response in the prologue might seem a bit overkill but, as someone with anxiety, I empathised with Nina's tendency to catastrophize. Ari made a great love interest for Nina. An up-and-coming film star and Oscar contender, Ari sparked off Nina and their dynamic was engaging and authentic. I did feel the conflict scene was a bit sudden and it seemed like a small thing that caused them to break up. At the same time, Nina was primed for the relationship to end and Ari did overstep the boundaries Nina had put in place so maybe it was more about them as people than what actually triggered the conflict between them.

My favourite element of the whole book was Nina's friends and family. Her aunt Lorna was the retiree we all hope we'll grow up to be. She was supportive, brash and unashamed, and it's easy to see why Nina loves her so much. Nina's friends are her found family and their friendship dynamic was absolute goals. We would each be supremely lucky to find a group of friends like this one.

The setting of LA and the film industry aspects both added to the positives. It was glamorous and completely new to someone like me. If you're looking for a sapphic romance that's funny, smart and full of heart, FOR HER CONSIDERATION is the one to beat.
