This is a sweet and steamy book I would recommend.

The second book in this very entertaining series & it’s easily read on its own. It has strong characters, a fast pace & chemistry between Archie & Valentina that sizzles. I loved both Archie & Valentina, he has a secret – he’s a composer, she’s determined to get her father's money from a lord who swindled him. I loved how the couple really got to know each other whilst falling in love & the epilogue was lovely. An engrossing read, which I read in a sitting

Archie and Valentina’s story is a total delight! Archie is a Viscount, but music drives his soul. In private he composes and becomes an entirely different person from the charming , carefree Nobleman that the world sees. He loves hanging out at the Five Graces theater far from the Mayfair crowd, where the entertainment varies, but the piano player tickles the keys every Thursday. And then she steps on stage, “La Contessa” , phony as can be , but with a voice that enraptures him.
He storms into her life, and she becomes his muse. Their story is a composition. She gives meaning to the future, and he saves her family. Beautifully done!

Lord Archer actually catches a singer who conpletes him, but is too blind to act on it.
This book has several steamy scenes.
Overall a good story line and a wonderful ending. I really enjoyed the epilogue.

Archie spent time with his family in Italy, but now that he is back in England, he is trying to hide his secret passion, Music. He first sees Valentina, when she was pretending to be a Contessa and she sings, he is struck by her beautiful voice. Valentina is in London on a mission to get back the money her father was swindled out of from Lord Nester. In order for Archie to spend more time with Valentina he offers to help her retrieve her money. This was a fun book which time past quickly while I was reading it. I can’t wait for the next book to come.

I found that this novel had my interest from the moment Lord Archer plopped himself down in a theatre seat, only to discover that his lighthearted approach to life in fact hid the heart and soul of an artist. Archie, as he is known to his friends, has a hidden passion for music, one that would be scorned by society should they know that the fun-loving Viscount had hidden talents. After hearing Valentina's voice, Archie can no longer sit back and ignore the stirrings in his soul, but when he introduces himself to the songster, he finds that she is on an impossible mission. As soon as Archie understands the implications of what Valentina is up against, he and his family make it their mission to give her the support she needs. Ultimately her quest is fulfilled, but Archie still needs some prompting to come out from the shadows, where he has been living half a life. I received a copy of this romance as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

In Book 2 of The Windermeres In Love the story is about The Viscount heir to the Earl, It continues with this quirky Noble family.. Where most Nobles are stuffy they seem to make you comfortable and even laugh. A charming, enchanting, and romantic tale.

Sofie Darling was a new find for me with the previous book in this series about the very amusing Windermere family. Here, Lord "Archie" Archer shows the ton only the fun-loving, slightly shallow part of himself. He meets Valentina Hart just as she has started trying to enact a plan to get back her family's money from a swindling lord, which starts with her performing at Archie's favorite venue. Archie manages to get Valentina fired and after hearing her story decides he will rescue her and help her get back her family's money. His motives are not totally pure - he also wants Valentina around because she inspires him to compose his music - a talent and love he has kept hidden from the ton - in a way that he has never felt before. He cannot lose his muse. Swindling the swindler, whom few like, is really just a fun bonus.

I liked Archie and Valentina together, though I got annoyed at how long it took Archie to get over the fact that Valentina was a *gasp* commoner, even after he realized he loved her. Valentina was determined to know her own worth, which I always appreciate, and I love the rest of the Windermere siblings and cousins. I give this book 4 stars and look forward to reading future installments (c'mon Ravensworth backstory!).

Viscount Archer (Archie) had arrived back in England after a while spent in Italy. He was a fun loving person who simply loved music. Music was one of his passions and when he first gazed at Miss Valentina Hart on stage, he knew he wanted to get to know her better.

Valentina was on a revenge mission, one of the Lords of the ton had swindled her father out of his money and she was trying to find a way to get it back when in walks Viscount Archer to introduce himself.

Having been sacked from the stage, Archie after listening to her story decided to help her to get her revenge and so with the family set a course to bring down Lord Nestor.

A fun witty adventure packed full of romance, steam, fantastic characters that you have to carry on reading until the end. A beautiful love story about being your true self and that with the right people nothing can stand in your way. The world is your oyster and you can have it all!

Another great read from Ms Darling. If you haven’t read any of her stories, you’re definitely missing out! Her stories let you live in another world with her characters and feed your romantic soul.

Ms. Darling has once again provided readers with a well-written book and furnished it with a stellar cast of characters. Lord Archer, Archie to his friends, is a music fanatic. Valentina's family and others in their town have been swindled by a nobleman and she's come to London to get their money back. When Archer hears Valentina sing, he knows she can do better than the Five Graces theater and thinks he'll help her. Archer and Valentina's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle and suspense. I enjoyed this book and look forward to my next book by Sophie Darling. Lord Archer Catches A Contessa is book 2 of the Windermeres in Love Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

I am really enjoying this series! The Windermere’s are an interesting and talented family. Lord Archer or Archie is a closet musician. This book is about his love affair with Valentina, an opera singer that was trying to get money that had been swindled from her family back. Lord Daniel Windermere, Viscount Archer (Archie to his friends), is a handsome, friendly, smiling lord and is popular with society because of his fun-loving ways. But this is a façade, the thing he really enjoys and takes seriously is his music - very few people know of his love and emotional ties that drive this frustrated composer.

Miss Valentina Hart has left her family behind, a fact they are not happy with, but she must find a way to find the lord who swindled her father out of their money. She has a lovely singing voice, so she sets her mind to perform to earn money and at the same time search for the thief, Lord Nestor. What she didn't expect was Archer to hear her singing in a seedy place, he appreciated her voice, got her fired and took her in to stay with him and his two sisters.

I fell in love with Archie and Valentina instantly and together they are irresistible! Archie insists on helping her catch Nestor, the sisters get involved in some of it and it is just a fun, romantic romp! The villain gets his just desserts, the perfect couple gets their HEA - with a few obstacles along the way and now I am ready for the next fun-loving Windermere's story! Who is up for a lark? This is a super fun story with some hidden depth. This could also be called The Swindler who Gets Swindled. Karma buddy, karma. I am not a huge music fans in stories but it was very interesting and well written in this one. Archie and Valentina are such a cute couple who make each other better. Just a cute story.

Fun loving Viscount Archer is always up for a lark. There is only one thing that he takes seriously, that is music. There are very few people who know he is a frustrated composer.

Our heroine believes her voice is the key to solve her problem. It is, but not the way she thinks.

This historical romance is a definite romp. Full of giggles and emotion. The family that this series is about are all fun loving characters. You can easily read each book on it's own. They will however tempt you to read them all.

An engaging and beautifully written romance. Archie and Valentina leapt off the page, both great characters. A perfect heist and a perfect gamble for love that neither expected. I enjoyed their journey to love.

Wouldn’t be great to be a muse to someone? That’s just what Valentina becomes for Lord Archer. He hides his obsession with music (he’s a composer) to project the charming face of a typical indulged lord of the realm. Valentina is blessed with a beautiful operatic voice and stuns the lord immediately. He helps her get away from a low-class music hall and decides to facilitate getting her family’s money back from a swindling lord.

Lord Archer has a droll and very comical sense of humor! When telling the swindler to bring an offering to the contessa, Lord Nestor asks “A small, furry animal?” Archer replies “Oh, you know, like a puppy or a kitten or a vole or a mole, for that matter.” The scene in Hyde Park was another hilarious and partly ludicrous one. Well worth reading!

Valentina soon realizes how talented Archer is with composing and also with awakening her physical desires. Their pleasures together are combustible. Valentina knows what she wants from him, but it takes Archer longer to figure things out. She’s not only beautiful, and an accomplished singer, she is determined to aid her family.

Archer’s sister and cousin played supporting roles in helping Valentina and also protecting her. If it wasn’t for Archer’s close friends, he would probably never have had the “lightbulb” go off regarding his feelings. I didn’t like that during those times if a woman wasn’t a titled lady, the lords would assume they’d accept being their mistress instead of offering marriage.

One thing didn’t click for me was that Valentina’s mother was Italian, Valentina sang opera, yet she didn’t know how to speak Italian. I did love the book and can’t wait to read many more by the author!

An endearing love story. He brought her the justice she seeks and she taught him live his full life. Together they are perfect. I enjoyed this novella as both characters are witty, funny and very loveable. I specially like that the story revolves around music, composers and singers.

In this second installment of the Windermeres in Love, we follow Lord Archer and Valentina. Archie has a secret passion for music but has been struggling to find inspiration. Then there's Valentina, who is out for revenge after her father and many other tradesmen were conned by an aristocrat. When Archie meets Valentina, he finds that she was the muse he was missing and works with her to keep her around him longer. Before long, their desire and passion for each other become hard to ignore.

I loved how Archie and Valentina encouraged each other to go for their dreams and to want more from life. The way Valentina stood by Archie and helped him realize his worth was just so beautiful! I will say, I enjoyed the first book a bit more than this one, but it was an enjoyable read nonetheless. I love the Windermere family! They are so supportive of one another but also call one out when someone's doing something wrong. I'm excited for the rest of this series!

Lord Archer Catches a Contessa was another delicious story. This story between Archer and Valentina flowed like poetry because, as usual, the writing felt like we were reading something otherworldly, at times.
