I started reading this book eagerly. This book depicted the different cultures of India and described the cultural differences between subsets of the people. The disparities among the wealthy, poor, educated, office workers, caregivers, maids are immense and very well shown throughout the book. Unfortunately, the book did not really allow me to bond with any characters as there were ten different viewpoints included in the book. This book was educational for me but did not engage my emotions. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and Tin House Books.
