Evie Cooper has a lot on her plate. She just graduated from college and is trying to survive a corporate marketing internship. Let's not forget that she's basically raising her younger sister who is in high school.

The last thing she needs is to catch the attention of billionaire, corporate heir, and notorious risk taker Alexander Jenkins.

Alex needs someone to lift his image and reputation. The former motorcycle racer is not given a lot of faith to helm his family's business by his own grandmother. When he mistakes Evie for his new temp assistant, he comes up with a plan. He proposes a fake relationship that would get him the CEO job and get Evie the money she needs for herself and her sister Sabrina.

This book is a light read if you're into fake relationships or workplace romance. I like the easygoing chemistry between Alex and Evie, and it made the instant connection believable. I did feel like their relationship's arc was not developed enough, and I would have traded the chapters dedicated to establishing who they are for that, because the moments we get when they were "faking" their relationship were so cute. As someone who has an irrational fear of sharks and loathe the aquarium, this book may have changed my mind on the latter. (I still hate sharks.)

I have to give credit to a side character who stole the spotlight for me when she was around. Kudos to Gram; that character is fantastic and deserves some love.

This book is the second in Lush's The Pretenders series, but it can be read as a standalone.

** I am voluntarily reviewing an advance copy of this book. Thank you to Tamara Lush, Wattpad Webtoon Books, and NetGalley for providing an ARC. **

I can never say no to a fake fiancé trope, those are always the best, the fake dating, and getting to know each other and then it turning into some steamy romantic STUFF, its perfect. I loved how strong Evie is, and the family drama was perfect! And I adored Alex. This was a sweet rom-com. Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

This was a good book. I enjoyed the fake dating trope and the level of spice. The storyline was enjoyable and I lived for the family drama. Solid rom com! Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The 2023 year for romance novels starts with a fantastic 5-star read called CRASH by author Tamara Lush. What happens when you have a wealthy, handsome, and sexy CEO who bumps into an intern on her last week of work at his company and asks for her help with a late-night meeting? Well, nothing happens, so get your minds out of the gutter, but they do click, and the intern, Evie, who has had a seriously hard-luck life, can’t believe something this great can happen to her. Evie finally catches a break that turns into romance, or does it? I LOVE a book that makes a magical match, gives the reader some yummy chemistry and makes me happy. That is the true worth of any book that you get the intended vibes, whether they are happy or sad. This ARC will be a big hit when published in January 2023. It’s a romance winner. #romance #NetGalley #ERC #TBR #Crash #TamaraLush @netgalley #fakefiance @the.book.lush #alltherightVibes #luck #faith #hope #love #cozyromance

This very much reads like a Wattpad story. There was chemistry between the main characters but parts of the story that felt a bit lacking and had a lot of filler. When mentioning of her parents death, there wasn’t really any emotion put into it, it was more of a blank statement. The whole ordeal after the funeral, you don’t hear more about the antagonists. They’re not mentioned again. Things start moving about halfway through, everything goes down towards the end. The story could’ve been easily condense for a more clearer read.

Overall this is an okay read. If you currently/ previously read on Watt-pad. You may like this. I would love to read it again once it’s been revised.

. I enjoyed reading this book. I'm a big fan of Wattpad books and this one was amazing. Fake engagement trope made it fun and unexpected. It is well written and the dual POV I loved it. Definitely would recommend this book to my romance friends.

I love the fake dating trope/forced proximity, so I was really excited to read this arc. The premise was great–guy wants a fake fiance to prove to his family that he isn’t the manwhore they think he is. I wanted to love it, but I couldn’t. For me this book was like a raw gem that had a lot of beauty to it, but it really needed to be polished. There is a lot of potential, but sadly it missed the mark.

First of all, the title is really insensitive. The heroine’s parents died in a fiery car wreck. I really don’t see why it was named Crash anyways.

I loved Evie, the girl who agreed to fake date Alan. She was very precise, and you really felt for her. Her disdain for the whole agreement was refreshing. Her concerns and her fear felt real. I got Alan’s sense of humor, but I can see how he could easily have been mistaken as a sarcastic asshole instead of someone with a kind of biting wit.

My problems with the book were mainly two-fold: the pacing and the character inconsistencies. Half of the book took place before they ever even started fake dating. There was too much passage of time with very little actual progress. The book had a simple enough plot that it didn’t need that much set up. Then too much happened in a short time and it caused the characters to have inconsistencies.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the book but it was missing that spark that makes it special. For me it wasn’t the kind of book I’d read again but I don’t regret reading it.

Thank you to netgalley, Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, and Tamara Lush for giving me this arc in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book! I devoured it in one sitting because I couldn't get enough of it.
I really enjoyed Evie, Sabrina and Alex's characters. They were all quite likeable. As for Alex's family... not so much! I do wish we were able to see how things changed between his family and Evie towards the end but thats ok!
Even though this book had the very common fake engagement trope in it, I was still able to enjoy myself because it seemed genuine, I also really loved that he fell first!
Also the spice is this book was steamy and very hot!

CRASH, written by Tamara Lush, is a fake dating romance between Alex, director of his own company and most eligible bachelor and Evie, his new intern. He’s the guy any woman would want to date. He even has his own library. The story opens with a meeting and a misunderstanding, but everything is sorted out in due time. Then there’s a fake engagement proposal at the Atlanta Aquarium before he whisks her off to meet the family, especially grand dame Grandmother, who holds the power in the family-owned company. Predictably, they fall in love, and the story ends before they have their first fight.

CRASH is a quick read, the writing is solid, and my favorite character is dear old Gram, who adores Evie. The friction with the rest of the despicable family is never resolved. Maybe a family reunion is planned for the sequel. The story moves quickly, and it is a fun read. Be prepared for explicit sex and profanity.

I recieved this as an ARC from NetGalley but these are 100% my own opions I formed while reading.

The beginning was fun and nice to read but then it just felt a bit repetitive(Evie brought up how broke she was every other sentence, and while that sucks...we get it). The FMC was constantly awful to the MMC for nearly no reason. Wasn't a fan of this book sadly which sucks because I was excited to read it.

Evie Cooper is 22 years old, graduated from college and is working at an internship at Jenkins and raising her little sister. Her parents were killed in a car accident two years ago. She's struggling every day to keep a roof over their heads, food to eat and get her sister to graduate high school and go to college.

Alex Jenkins is a former motorcycle racer turned business man. He wants to take over the family business but his Gram is the matriarch of family and the business doesn't think he's ready. Evie needs to take some pamphlets to Alex late one night for approval. Alex thinks Evie is his new temp assistant. Later Alex comes up with a proposal that Evie be his fake fiancee to help secure him the CEO position.

This was a fun romance to read, the writing is fantastic. It hooked me from page one. I cried and I laughed out loud. The spicy scenes were a fantastic bonus.

Crash follows a story of Evie Coope who struggles to make money to pay rent and take care of her younger sister after her parents died.

She worked overtime as an intern and was asked to deliver the document to her boss. She was mistaken as his secretary.

This book was easy to get into. It was fun, adorable and full with emotions. Alex and Evie’s chemistry was amazing! The sparks flowing even when they first met.

Alex’s family was annoying and very snobby. I wish to slap them. The only side characters that I love was Sabrina, her sister and Alex’s grandmother.

I wished for more scenes where they pretend because they were so adorable.

This book was so good and I’m looking forward to read more from the author! Did I mentioned that I finished it in one sitting?

Thanks @wbywattpadbooks @netgalley for the review copy🥰

The characters felt relatable toward the middle of the book. It held my interest for the most part, and I was curious to see how it all ended for the pair. It was a very fast read and overall entertaining.

Thanks to NetGalley and Wattpad for the ARC.

"You're giving me your time. Your entire summer. You're giving me you."

Ya girl sure does love a fake engagement trope, and Crash gave me all the feels that I love so much. This one was super easy and fun to read. While I feel like there were moments I wish Evie was a little different, Alex was perfect! The actual fake engagement at the aquarium.. oh my gosh *SWOON*

I did feel like the supporting characters were a little rushed, and I wanted to see more interactions between the main characters and them. I also wanted more scenarios where Evie and Alex needed to pretend in front of others. I felt like they didn't get enough pretending in before things became real between the two of them.

Overall, I did love how sweet and easy this book was to read!

Thank you to NetGalley, Tamara Lush and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for sharing this ARC with me!

This was a quick read with dual POV which is something I don't normal like to dabble within as a reader preference. I thought it was well done, the characters were also well thought out. I will say though that there were some cheesy parts, but I enjoyed them.

This romance uses many of the rom com tropes: a fake engagement to fool the family of the wealthy guy; a bedroom with only one bed in the family mansion; an attraction and romantic love between the two fakers that they take the entire book to acknowledge.

Nevertheless, the tropes work in this story, the way it's written. how the plot and main characters are developed. It was an enjoyable novel, with enough humorous moments to be labeled romantic comedy.

My only reservations about the book: the open door sex descriptions were a bit overly graphic and descriptions could be way shortened. We got the idea in the first few paragraphs

Crash by Tamara Lush is a friends with benefits romance that centers on managing director Dale Alex Jenkins and intern Genevieve Cooper.

I knew right away that Alex was going to be hot, because he was down BAD for Evie, even though he was secretive about, you could see in Alex's pov how caring and attractive he found Evie. Also, I believe this was one of the few books that caught me off guard because I was unaware that Evie was a virgin until she revealed it to Alex, who handled it delicately rather than criticizing her, or because (SPOILER ALERTE) Grams dies unexpectedly considering how funny a side character she was.

While I know that didn't happen, it left me with the impression that the whole family's rudeness and fake personality was left unresolved because it appeared as though it had been dismissed.

In all, Tamara wrote one of the best stories about friends who eventually become lovers since she kept me interested throughout!

I loved this book! It was the perfect combination of swoony and steamy, and such a cute story. I love the tropes used in this story, and really loved the epilogue! I can't wait for the last book in this storyworld.

I honestly feel like I would have enjoyed this book more if I had enjoyed the writing style. It reminded me very much of the 2014 era of Wattpad so it was something odd for me to experience reading now. It is a solid book, I just feel like people who like that writing style would enjoy it more than I did.

Alex and Evie are so cute and I loved this. I wish the book was a bit longer so that we got more of them actually together though.

I received an arc through netgalley.
