I am a sucker for the Grumpy x sunshine trope and age gap trope! This is really well written, and I wanted to read more, the storyline was definitely rushed, I was hoping for more romance within the story, but it was really very small part.

i always enjoy a friends to lovers romance and adding in an age gap, i am SOLD. This book was spicy, enjoyable, and a down right good time. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It wasnt much of a slow burn but sometimes it is exactly what i need! I definitely enjoyed this one.

Mason and Dax have been dancing around each other for years. Dax is Mason's best friend's nephew and Mason thinks he is too young for him. Dax is an actor and is being stalked and Mason knows he is the only man for the job as long as keeps his off hands off Dax. The chemistry between these two can be seen throughout the pages and once these two hook up their sexy times are hot. The book is sweet, romantic, and steamy, and read it in one sitting. I love the bodyguard books, especially if they have been in the military.

I loved Ava Olsen's New York Nights series and this spin-off is just as much fun! Mason is the CEO and founder of a security company - we've met him before and seen just how intense he can be. We also knew that he and Dax have a very close relationship. Dax is an up and coming actor who has had more than his share of trouble and danger along the way. Dax has also been in love with Mason for a long time. Mason feels the same - but has kept Dax at arms length because of how young he is - and that he is the nephew of Mason's best-friend.

With that history - the book moves very fast. And that's a good thing - because it is clear that any true barriers to Dax and Mason being together are not actual barriers at all. That aspect was something of a relief - because some age-gap books really burn that angst brightly! The action part of the book also moves quickly and the resolution is almost anticlimactic - this was a weaker point in the book. I almost wanted more from it - but then again Dax has been through so much - maybe it was too much to have him go through yet more!!

Overall this is a quick read with limited angst and a very very happy ending! I also loved the glimpses of folks from other books and am looking forward to reading more from Ava Olsen!

I received this book as an ARC via Netgalley, but these opinions are all my own.

Love Like Yours is a friends to lovers age-gap romance. Dax is an actor who has been pining for his uncle's best friend, Mason for years. Mason is the owner of a security firm and becomes Dax's security following some incidents/threats. Mason has also been harboring feelings for Dax, but doesn't want to give in because of their age difference and Dax's career.

While Dax and Mason have supposedly had feelings for each other for years but never acted on them, this book still felt very insta-lovey. Their relationship, once they pursued one, progressed very rapidly from first date to marriage in no time at all. I would have liked to have seen some more development of the relationship. I felt like the story was very rushed at times and also needed further development. It was an engaging read, but very fast-paced. Great characters though!!!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Ms. Olsen once more goes all in on the spicy factor! I love the fact that each book that I read by this author, I cannot seem to put it down no matter where I am. I hate the fact that I got into it so late because it deserves its kudos. The detail that goes into the spicy scenes, the daydream that Mason had about Dax, whew just great.. Actually, I think the word is more along, sublime that I am looking for.

So overall the book was good. I can't give it a full five stars because I have some things I wish would be added. One I would love the book to be a little bit longer. I know that this type of book is not a slow burn ( I would not change that at all) I just wish that there was a little more depth to the characters. I feel as though I only know them on the surface and because of this I can't relate to the character at all. Now if this 0is what the author is going for, by all means go for it, I will continue to be the fly on the wall in this sort of fast paced romance.
Normally I can say something about feeling for the characters but I did not and was still met with spicy scenes (don't change those at all).

Other than that, the book was good. I will definitely have a look at the other books that she has created.

The history and trust between Dax and Mason made their chemistry great and the fact that there’s a bit of a thrill since there’s a creep stalking (and attempting to kill) Dax so Mason had to protect him. The way that their confession came about was really funny and sweet, and their first kiss was just fire (I’m surprised the set didn’t burn down). And the ending was…*insert smiley face*. Kudos to the author!

Age gap is normally not really my thing. I can enjoy books with that trope, but it is absolutely not my favorite. But after I read 'Hate to Love You' from this author I knew I wanted more in this serie. Just like the previous part in the serie, it was a quick, fun and lovely read. This novella was just as perfect to read in between two books and it was perfect for me to get me out of a little reading slump (and jetlag).

I did however find the twist in the book too fast. If you have read the previous book, you know that Dax and Mason are completely over the moon for each other, but they don't act on it. The moment they finally do, came to fast. I would have like to see more build up tension, that would have made the story better, in my opinion.

The spice was however everything you want in a spicy, fun read. Please give me the next book in this series!

This book is actually a novella and I was fortunate to read a copy via Netgalley.

We know both characters from the previous instalment involving Spartan Security staff involving Eli and John. The owner of the company Mason and his best friend’s nephew Dax have been circling each other for 10 years. It’s been a really slow build up, with neither declaring their feelings despite it being obvious to everyone else they belong together.

When Dax is being stalked Mason steps in due to … a staff shortage!

In summary it’s an

MM
Age gap
Best friends nephew
Grump v sunshine
Protector

For me, I wanted a little more emotional connection but I figure it had been a buildup of ten years. It just would have made it all the better for me.

Otherwise a quick read.l that Assad for the workplace, friends as family vibe of these books.

3.5 stars .

First, thank you for approving me to get this ARC.

I have been reading M/M romance for a while and this book filled the tropes I was looking for such as age gap, grump/sunshine and mutual pinning. I'm new to the author so I wasn't sure what to expect but the blurb got my attention.

This is a quick solid read. For those looking for a light read with some steamy moments and without major angst, this is the perfect story. The only thing that I left missing was depth in the plot and more "show, don't tell". The potential of the book was buried under the lack of development in those aspects which makes it hard to also connect with the characters.

Overall, the book is positive for those who don't mind not being plot heavy and development. If you enjoy those, maybe you will feel a bit taken back.

This was a sweet romance. A quick, easy read that delivered. The only issue I had was that I felt like I had already read this book. There wasn't anything interesting done with the romantic tropes. It had some great moments. The hotel/elevator scene really landed. It just felt like it was coasting along.

a spoonful of sugar anyone?

more like buckets!!!! I loved this book. I think the way ava wrote the romance of these two amazing men gave me a sweet tooth. okay, so I do have a weakness for a man with a tough exterior being all mush gushy when he's in love but this was so good that I had to force someone else to read some of the highly romantic paragraphs to see if I the hopeless romantic in me wasn't just projecting. anyways this is one of the few books that I would recommend to anyone who loves ready charming romances. and I just know that I'll be getting my hands on a paperback copy of this book one way or another. I did love it and would recommend it.

The story opens to both Mason and Dax mutually crushing on the other but while Dax is set in making it happen, Mason has drawn a boundary due to their age difference, which causes Dax to tell a lie about needing a place to stay to force proximity.

The way that premise played out felt very rushed since as a reader I did not get to see the tension build, either crush develop. The story opens to both of them wanting to date the other. Considering this was short for a full length novel, there was time for a longer introduction.

Very fast paced wouldve loved more detail to certain scenes. Dax and Mason seemed like a right fit but i also needed more grumpy ness it was a great story with alot of potential. Regardless i enjoyed it alot!!

A short, sexy read. Just what I needed to break up a hectic week. I enjoyed the pacing of the story, and how it was basically a novella. The characters were decently fleshed out

3.5*

I liked this one much better than Hate to Love You and I'm super happy because I was so excited for Dax and Mason's story!!
This was sweet, fun and very entertaining. Quite a quick read so if you need one to count towards your goodreads goal I think it's great :) You don't need to read any previous books to understand it!

What a sweet and romantic novella.

I’ve been waiting for Mason’s story for what feels like forever (okay it’s probably only been a couple of months). I love when the big bad tough guys find love and get mushy. Seriously, if I had to choose only one trope, that would be it.

Mason is the head of his security company, an ex-military, tattooed badass, with a crush on his best friend's Nephew. Dax is a sweet and stubborn actor almost 20 years younger than him.
I love all the times that Mason gets growly over Dax. Though he’s determined the age difference is too big, and he doesn’t want to hold Dax back from his dreams, he can’t help but want to lose his mind over Dax dating someone else.

This non-romantic guy really knows how to say swoonyiest things.

So much love for this couple. 4.5 Stars

You can read this on its own, but I highly recommend reading book one because you get some background and build-up for their story and it’ll make this so much better. And hey, they’re both novellas so you can read them both in one night!
