There are several short stories in this book and it was nowhere near what I expected. I know that this universe is quite the tear jerker, but I was not expecting so many tears. Normally in anthologies there are a few stories here or there that just aren't as good as the others. But in this one that is not the case. Every story is phenomenal. I am not even sure I could pick a favorite.

Okay, first, if you're interested in this because you think it's all set in the world of The Promised Neverland, you should know that it isn't. There is a really sweet story at the end that let's us know what happened to the characters that will make fans of the series happy, but the rest of the stories are one-shots done by the author and the illustrator, and I quite enjoyed them. Although the stories aren't related to each other, they do all kinda meet up in a bonus story, which was fun. We meet an A.I. toaster who longs to be human and the shut-in scientist who created him; a young boy living next-door to a haunted apartment who helps a spirit photographer trying to get a picture of the ghost; the daughter of a famous inventor of robots who is constantly who gets a new bodyguard whether she wants one or not; plus the bonus story featuring the A.I. and the scientist taking a time travel adventure, and the TPN story, which I'll note doesn't contain any spoilers if you haven't read the series (I haven't yet). A good read, whether you're looking for more works by the author/illustrator team, or just looking for some fun stories with gorgeous art.

The first part of it was the short stories and it was really cute, I would have loved to read a much longer more in depth version of the short stories and had the continuation of TPN been longer I would have probably gotten emotional. The continuation was very short compared to the rest of the stories and I would have loved to see much more developement in Emma and the rest of the characters. I think that the concept of them fullfilling their dreams in the human world, including Emma's even though she couldnt remember, was a very very heartfelt concept and I just am extremely sad it was so short.

From the creators of the Promised Neverland comes a collection of short stories with both featured characters from the original story and new shorts. There are four short stories featured in this volume. Newcomers shouldn't have any issue following along with most of it as only one story is from the main plot. It runs the gamut of emotions from a sweet friendship between a human and the robot he built to an eerie photographer who snaps photos of restless spirits.
If you enjoyed the series, you'll love the short stories, which follow in the same spirit.

A short story compilation by the creators of The Promised Neverland! There is only one story set in that world, however, so newcomers will certainly be able to just jump in. Each one is very different from another so everyone should be able to find one they can relate to. You can certainly see the same author in each one though, as issues of life are brought up and those who bring us hope. I know the ghost one is going to stick with me for quite awhile and not just because it is around Halloween. For those unsure if they want to start the Promised Neverland series this is a great introduction to the types of themes involved. A short read but a great one!

I absolutely adored this collection of short stories from the creators of The Promised Neverland. It was so nice to see the different ideas Kaiu Shirai had before, during and after The Promised Neverland and it is easy to see how those themes intertwine in each story, I hope Shirai and Demizu work together again.

This collection of short stories are just so uplifting. Even when bad things happen, it ends on a high note. You can see a bit of The Promised Neverland in all of the stories, even though one is is the 'pilot' and one is a 'where are they now.' The star that shines the brightest, though, is the Spirit Photographer. It's an unexpectedly beautiful story, and I would love a continuation of the photographer's journeys. Bookended by stories of the adorable Poppy, this is definitely an uplifting short story collection.
