A most heartfelt welcome to Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for giving me a chance to read American Queen by Sierra Simone in exchange for my honest review.

First and foremost. let's start of with spicy content/kink warning : praise/degradation, dom/sub themes, spanking, flogging (implied), exhibitionisim, cuckolding, MMaction, threesome

American Queen had been on my TBR for a long while ever since I saw all the hype about it (among other steamy books) on TikTok, but when I finally read it I understood why it was so talked about on every social platform bookworms could tell other readers about.
The political intrigue and the pure smut this book served had well-deserved the hype it got and it made me want to read the rest of the New Camelot series ASAP.
The story's told from Greer's POV, which highlights all the more the smut galore the reader is in for this book. With the growing tension throughtout the entire book, the peak moment of the threesome had me holding my breath to see if Sierra would give the reader any MMaction, and the moment she delivered, the book became a five star read for me.

This series is absolute fire. Steam galore but with such a good story. I would read anything Sierra Simone writes but this series is an absolute masterpiece

Great storyline and interesting dynamics between the characters. I wish the age gap was less in the direction of inappropriate but that would be my only dislike. I'm interested in finishing the series and see how they work out the relationship and the complexities it faces.

Whoooaaaaaa! Yep. Yes. This is so good. I have no words. Super spicy. Like, probably the hottest book I’ve ever read (which is saying something). Super everything. Excellent writing. Sierra Simone is on FIRE! And Embry’s book is next? Ummm yes, sign me up.

This was a reread for me and I still agree with what I initially felt. Sierra Simone has a way with making you feel so utterly captivated by her story that you realize you are in Waaaaaaay deep with the characters, the story, and the steaminess just seems totally normal. Truly a taboo story, this is a MMF novel that amazingly has quality plot AND spice. They don’t call Sierra Simone the queen of smut for nothing; she can truly write a scene. And just like with her religious texts, the political intrigue of American Queen is just as interesting and important to the story as is the risqué nature. This book does leave you on a cliff hanger (I know, I groaned), but as someone who has read the next two books in the series, believe me it’s worth it. Here’s to normalizing the taboo and reading “dirty” books that have exceptional storytelling. I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I mean, let's call a spade a spade. This is a super spicy read about a thruple consisting of a younger woman groomed to be a political wife, the president, and the vice president. It's certainly detailed during the erotic scenes. I can't say there is a ton of plot to speak of, but I suspect that's not the appeal of the book for most readers who pick this up! What it does, it does well.

Spicy, Spicy, Spicy! This was a good pallet cleanser for me between books. Was a bit long for my liking but Sierra Simone never lets me down with the ability to make it steamy! I have read Priest, Saint, and Sinner from this author and it is great to know that I can count on Sierra to give me consistency. I will say that I the young woman trope is getting quite old with smut books. Small, petite, young heroines isn’t something I can relate to. Regardless, the MMF was great and not an insufferable representation of the relationship structure.

Sierra Simone never disappoints! After reading her Priest series, I knew I’d have to try this book! I love this start to the series! This was HOT & I give it a 4 out of 5 stars!

Three words for this book: Wicked, Sensual & Forbidden ✨

Highly recommend this book & I’m excited to delve into the next book!

Wow... there are not words. This book was an absolute cluster of events and some of the raunchiest sex scenes I have ever read. The relationship between Greer, Ash and Embery is a wild one and defiantly not one for the faint of heart. I would go into this book with an open mind and a reminder that these characters are HEAVILY flawed. Also this ends on a cliffhanger. So defiantly anticipate to read the whole series if you get sucked in.

This book is an old one from 2016 but I read it in honor of America’s bday because nothing screams “I’m a patriot” louder than having a dirty three way with the President and Vice President. Suck on that white guys who drive pickup trucks w giant American flags on them.

Ash takes his job as “commander in chief” very literal as a dirty dom who loves a good girl. He meets young Greer when she’s underage, but kisses her anyway bc rules don’t apply to kinky men in power. They finally meet again years later, but in their time apart Greer has spite fucked his bestie Embry and accidentally fell in love with him. In present time Ash and Embry are the hottest and horniest American Pres and Vice Pres and both love Greer who seems prim but is a bald eagle in the bedroom- she’s both a predator (with a bikini wax) and a national treasure!!! Get it girl! Something tells me Martha W would have banged both George and Johnny Adams too. She approves.

I pledge allegiance to this pervy pervy book- it was everything our founding fathers would have wanted for our country…lust, spanking, and pursuit of orgasms. Do your civic duty and read this.

Smut- 4.48 stars
Romance- 4.12 stars
Story- 4.39 stars
Politicians who put the cock in caucus- 50 stars

I'll admit. I'd heard about this series years ago, but I had put on starting it because I didn't think a political romance would be up my alley. Turns out, I made a huge mistake. This book sucked me in from the very first page. Greer has been groomed to be the perfect political pawn by her grandfather. She knows how to quietly observe the room without garnering too much attention. That is.. until she meets a military hero. An older man who knows how special she is, but knows she's untouchable. Even as the years gone by, these two people haven't forgotten one and another, and when the time is finally right, someone else from Greer's pass brings her back into his orbit.

What we get from this story is a sordid, dirty love affair years in the making. There's only one problem. He's the President of the United States, and the man she lost her v-card too when she was rejected by him.. just so happens to be his VP and lover. It's messy yet so satisfying I couldn't put it down.

This book is just a comfort spicy book to me. Sierra Simone never misses and like royalty tropes are so populare but her books stand out.

I will start with one disclaimer: I know that this series was translated into Polish, but unfortunately, the translation did not do sensual, erotic scenes justice, so I'm glad I read it in the original. And I can tell you I was not disappointed by New Camelot book 1!
Greer is the granddaughter of the former vice president so she knows her way when it comes to posh social events that she had to attend in her life. And this is how she was growing up, but later on, she decided to step down and become Professor in Literature - she had to work hard for it, and did a lot of sacrifices to be eligible for this position. Now when an old acquaintance comes to her she will have to deal with the consequences of her decision, which will be a sensual, erotic, and full display of love, dominance, and something else.
On the other side, we have two powerful men: Maxen and Embry - they have known each other for a very long time since they had suffered a lot during their time in the army. Now their fate led them into politics - currently the President and the Vice-President. They are SO GOOD together - trust me when I say both of them will make your legs tremble! Maxen - Ash - is an Alpha man, that dominates any page when he's there, and Embry - has his strong side, but he will follow in the direction that he was aimed into.
Three of them had met at different times in their lives and each of those encounters had left something in them. Greer and Ash will be back in each other's life after deciding they can go on with this relationship - this was supposed to be a rather normal relationship, but then Embry gets into the picture, and Greer gets into the spiral of lust and passion for two men. I got all nice feelings from this read and I will dive into book two of this series!

I have been contemplating reading this forever and I was not disappointed! The time jumps made it a little difficult to follow at first but it became easier the more I read. It was an addicting story! Definitely recommend.

I am very conflicted about how to rate this book. Every time I would think this book is kind of trashy fun, a new icky scene would pop up and make my skin crawl.

Parts of this book I loved:
A thruple of the President, Vice President and First Lady
Multi generational political intrigue
A loose interpretation of Arthurian legends

Parts that gave me the ick:
The weird puritanical lens all characters viewed their relationship thru 🤢
Greer being 16 at the beginning of this saga 🤢🤢
"We don't have a safe word" 🤢🤢🤢
Did I mention the incest? 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book. Even though this book ended with the most ridiculous cliffhanger, I don't know if I will pick up book 2.

I enjoyed this book, just like I enjoyed the other books of this author. It is a smutty book, and the smut was *perfection* !

Spice was good, but it was a bit too weird for my taste. I can see how some people would love this, but it was just sort of 'eh' for me.

Well, well well.... in typical fashion, I request based on cover and read the blurb after I'm done, so this book was such a delicious surprise for me!! Political romance MMF romance with all the heat, desire, angst, and suspense that kept me up way past my bedtime. It was such a unique twist/retelling of Camelot and I am so stoke this has been picked up by Bloom and the full triology is being re-released! I can't wait for the next installment.
