Do you like unlikable characters? How about mommy blogger drama? Real Housewives of wherever? Rich people fucking up?

Dirty Laundry is all that and more and was a quick read! Bit of fluff that made me feel equal parts yuck and proud of myself for being nothing like the twats in this story.

I suggest putting off folding your own laundry and reading about these messy fools to feel better about your life!

Dirty Laundry by Disha Bose
A very well written book about a bunch of HIGHLY unlikeable characters, I really hated them all. They were selfish, full of envy and greed, just awful people. That said I found the book entertaining and very funny.
Many thanks to Disha Bose, NetGalley, and Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book was well written, but it just was not a good fit for me. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance copy.

3.5 stars - This is an amazing blend of Real Housewives with Desperate Housewives mixed with Mean Girls and horrible people behaving badly. There really isn't anyone to like here, and that's okay. I think it's meant to be that way. The story is engaging and it pulls you in while you sit quietly and watch it all unfold, all the while feeling like you shouldn't be enjoying this and you need a shower to rinse the yuck off you. I'd recommend this one for one of those days when you just feel like a guilty pleasure.

Thank you #Netgalley for the advanced copy!

In this book we follow three female neighbors, Ciara, Lauren, and Mishti. Each has their own hidden agenda and secrets and friendships. Ciara and Mishti are best friends as Ciara quickly took her under her wing while Lauren, was left as the towns outcast. Ciara has a big social media following and likes her picture perfect life, even married for that life rather than love. Mishti was placed in an arranged marriage, sent to a new country with him and has struggled to fit in or even communicate with her husband. While Lauren has been in this town forever, has children with her long time boyfriend and lives in her grandmothers home, never really fitting in with the other moms. We quickly begin to see the secrets each woman holds and how their husbands are more connected to the woman than they even realize. A suspenseful read for a small suburban town.

Unfortunately I didn’t finish this book. I put it down after a bit. It was a real slow burn for me. I didn’t like any of the characters; they were quite mean. I didn’t want to continue reading.

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this ARC. I really enjoyed this book and the plot. I had a hard time finding any of the characters likable. They were all a bunch of mean women. It was a slow burn and took me sometime to get into it at first. It was an easy read and I really did enjoy it. I recommend!

Definitely a slow burn for me, as someone who is kid-free by choice. However, it may relate more closely with those who are parents.

I think this works as a drama, maybe a domestic suspense. It's filled with unlikeable characters and nothing really changes with them as the book progresses. They're all still pretty unlikeable at the end.

If you like domestic suspenses or mommy-group drama, I think this one could work for you!

A slow burn filled with unlikable with little to no redeeming qualities. This one just wasn't for me.

This was a fun neighborhood drama read. It reminded me of Big Little Lies. I really enjoyed the character’s and how complicated they were.. I really enjoyed watching the history and the intricacies if the characters relationships be revealed. It had a great flow and was super easy to get lost in.. my only complaint was that I wanted to know what happened after Ciara’s body was found.

I received this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy (ARC) through NetGalley. I received this copy free in exchange for my honest review.

It was very slow for me. Probably because there was nothing good to say about the characters. They were mean women with very little if anything to like about them. Their husbands weren’t much better. These were people I wouldn’t want to spend anytime around, whether in person or on the pages of a book. There are many people that liked the book. This was just my personal opinion. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

The plot here is good and I never mind a cast of unlikeable characters and these are highly unlikeable! A lot of envy, greed, selfishness and the pitfalls of social media are present. I thought the pacing was good and enjoyed the twist.

The comparison I’ve seen of this debut to Desperate Housewives is a good one. If you are in the mood to read about some self absorbed, awful couples, these three truly fit the bill! Very entertaining and funny in a sadly relatable way in our society today. Thank you to NetGalley for an early copy in exchange for an honest review.

While this book was well-written, there was not a single character with whom I could empathize. Characters had few to no redeeming qualities and when I reached the end, it was not satisfying. Perhaps it is a good representation of 'real life' but not a book I would recommend spending one's valuable time reading.

If you are a mother, if you have kids, have a partner or a husband. You have to read this book. It's so relatable in so many ways. What's sad is the weaponized incompetence of the men in the book. The author really perfectly described how most men don't deserve kids. Highly recommend this book it is a page turner I stayed up all night while my kid was asleep just to read this. The ending kind of needed some polishing for me it left me hanging though. I felt that the story could have expanded more.

This novel follows the stories of a group of three women who reside in a small Irish village. Ciara Dunphy is the leader of a circle of friends, who appears to have it all. She is an influencer who provides tips about mothering and style and appears to have a picture-perfect life. However, all is not as it seems. Ciara's best friend, Mishti Guha, is trapped in an arranged marriage, raising her daughter in a country foreign from her home country of Calcutta. The novel also closely follows the a third mother, Lauren Doyle who has been ostracized from the clique of mothers due to her dysfunctional partner and children. This novel follows our three mothers exposing the secrets that they keep, that ultimately results in the murder of one of them. This novel explores the dark side of deceit, parenthood and friendship and is so riveting that I could not put it down. I highly recommend this book and will be anxious to read other titles by Disha Bose.

Thank you to #NetGalley for letting me read an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. Set in an Irish suburb, DIRTY LAUNDRY follows a group of mothers, unofficially “led” by social media influencer Celia, after she is found dead by her neighbor and nemesis, fellow mom Lauren. The plot examines the complicated world of friendships, betrayals, affairs and yearning among the mothers, as well as their husbands. The writing as masterful, and I grew to really care for each of the characters as more was slowly revealed.

Mean Girls meets Desperate Housewives. A story of three women in a small Irish town with so much pettiness, jealousy and even murder. This was a little hard for me to stick with, I enjoyed the story but the delivery needs a little work. To say one of the characters got what they deserved in the end is putting it kindly. I honestly didn't like nor care for any of the female protagonists in this. Not because of their flaws but because of what they chose to do with them. Either they were a horrible person with not one redeeming quality, or they were a complete pushover. It's not a bad thing when I don't like the characters though, it makes it more interesting for me and that's what made me stay with this one in the end. Three Stars.

Thank you Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for this ARC.

Domestic thriller mainly involving three couples and their families. Ciara Dunphy is the queen of the street, with her semi-famous influencer status causing all suburban moms to look to her for advice. Of course, with fame, also comes the haters, and boy does she have several of those! Things are never as they seemed, especially on this street.

Overall this was a solid domestic thriller- I kept waiting for another twist half ways throughout the book, but it never came until the end. I enjoyed reading it though and will continue to read others by the author!

Thanks NetGalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review

Set in a small Irish village, this debut novel centers around the mundane daily lives of several women and their families. Ciara Dunphy, social media influencer, surrounds herself with women who hang on her every posted word and photo. She seemingly has it all--a loving husband, beautiful and well-behaved children, an envious sense of style in fashion as well as interior design. So how does it happen that she meets an untimely end? And how could anyone possibly have motive to kill her--or more to the point, who doesn't have a reason to see her vanish from their midst? Well developed characters in a unique setting provide the foundation for a truly delicious story with unexpected twists.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this title.
