I really can’t believe this is a new writer. The book is from a different perspective that I’m not used to but the writing was SO enticing & near flawless. Can’t wait to see what’s next!!!

I found this book of 3 young Mothers in Ireland very intriguing. Lots of secrets, social media, lifestyle choices and deception. Saw that this was a debut novel by this author and I will definitely look for more!

Not fantastic but a fun read none the less. The characters were unlikeable so it was hard to care about what was going on and the ending was meh. I would have liked more backstory and an ending that wasn’t rushed.

I generally like reading about unlikable characters but these characters may have been a tad too unlikable for me. It was entertaining enough and kept me turning pages I just hoped for more.

Here’s proof that mums in Ireland can be just as catty and awful to each other as moms here.
This soap opera-y story demonstrates that as hard as it can be to raise a young family, it’s much harder when you make enemies of your neighbors. Entertaining enough.

I really enjoyed this fast paced mystery, tell all. Set in a small town, there is a group of women who seem to follow one, Ciara, an IG influencer who seems to have all the answers. Although, in any clique, there are the outliers as well who struggle to fit in and the clique will not allow it. In this case, that is Lauren, who has struggled with this all her life and Ciara and her posse detest her. Truth be told, when Ciara is found dead, it is no surprise as she was a character that had it coming to her. There were so many suspects as she never hesitated to run over people and offend everyone, her husband and children included, to prove to the world via her social media that she was the perfect wife, the perfect wife, and everyone would want to be her. However, as we all know, a snapshot only captures a tiny moment and we never know what happened before nor after that would reflect the true story or the true person. Ciara truly causes her own unraveling and downfall and was a toxic person. Of course, this doesn't make all the other characters paragons of virtue, as they were all flawed in their own way. But I liked that the author allowed each character to have their own story and connection to Ciara and there were many surprises and twists and turns. Each character could be culpable in her death, and maybe they all are. It goes to show you that everyone has secrets. This was an enjoyable book, I would recommend it because it has many layers.

I felt like nothing happened during this whole book? like there was no plot? the story was all character development, but the characters were not very likable. the only thing that helped, was it did flow. just wasn’t my cup of tea.

All alone in a strange country with her young daughter and a husband who is never home. Even when he is home, he barely acknowledges her. Secretly longing for the love back home that she let get away. The perfect project for Ciara who needs a follower that won’t challenge her, and gives her props for appearing inclusive.

Lauren Doyle - Always the outcast of the town she grew up in. Gone for many years, she returns with her children and boyfriend when she inherits her grandmother’s house. Her house is always untidy, her man aloof, and her children free spirited. Why did she think that things would be different now?

While Ciara lives in her curated world, the only thing that she seems to like more than attention is making sure that nobody is nice to Lauren. Mishti is grateful for Ciara’s friendship, but she doesn’t trust her. Lauren sees Mishti as a weakened link that she can get through to unmask Ciara.

The men are always in the background, while not playing major parts in the story, they are the kind of guys that make women wonder if perhaps they should stay single.

When Ciara is found dead in her home, you realize that everyone has something to gain by her silence.

Dirty Laundry is a snapshot of life in a small Irish village. The women in the story connect over motherhood and running their households. There are alliances and divisions, some of which go back for decades. This story plays out in chapters told from shifting perspectives, sometimes recounting the same episodes two or more times with different beginnings and endings.

The dynamics at play between the different families are interesting and believable. The story is entertaining as it unfolds. There is a mystery presented early that pulls the reader through the narrative. But I felt that the story was sluggish at times, up until its sudden conclusion, which felt a bit hasty and ultimately somewhat unsatisfying. By the end, I was left wondering what it all amounted to.

Bottom line, this is a pleasant enough way to spend a few hours, but there’s no big payoff at the end. Perhaps that’s enough from a book like this.

Dirty Laundry is a book that proves that social media can be deceiving. The book follows the story of three couples with very different households.

Ciara is married to Gerry. They are both successful with the largest home on the block. Ciara is a popular influencer who has slowly been funneling her newfound fame into a small fortune. Gerry thinks Ciara is just posting on Instagram to keep busy.

Lauren and Sean are partners with children. They are definitely the odd ones out in the neighborhood.Everyone has an opinion about them. Lauren just wants to fit in but wants to be able to be herself.

Mishti and Parth, a couple who are together due to an arranged marriage. They have nothing in common other than their shared daughter. Mishti has been pulled into the popular circle by Ciara.

Now, one of the moms is dead. You find out who early in the book. What happened and what secrets will come out??

This was a good weekend read.

Real Housewives of Ireland meets Desperate Housewives in this debut domestic thriller by Disha Bose. This is a super quick read as you will be sucked into the lives of the women (and men) of this wealthy neighborhood. Who would want to kill Ciara, the perfect mother with thousands of instagram followers? The question really is who wouldn't want to kill her? I heard alot about how good this book was, "Dirty Laundry" I have to say I wasn't impressed with it at all, it is a quick read, but it doesn't all make any since in the end, I would have liked to know more about Laruren and if she grew up with the ladies in the group of friends. Why Gerry thought he had to put cameras in in the house to watch his wife and kids . so many things are left unanswered in the story, I thought the boook could use alittle more detail in it.

This domestic thriller/mystery revolves around three primary women, their partners, and their relationships with each other. I flew through the book, and it was very easy to read which I enjoyed. I didn’t particularly love any of the characters - Ciara’s disdain for her kids was icky, Mishti was so meek, Lauren had an edge - when they were on their own or in scenes with others; sometimes I can appreciate an unlikable character but these didn’t spark anything for me. In a way, I feel like the book was very juicy, and in another way I feel like there was so much more that could have happened — it’s possible that the setting of the small Irish town tempered any sort of scandal in my mind, despite the plot being quite scandalous!

Overall I think this could be a great beach read but when it comes to domestic thrillers, not a stand out for me. Thank you NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book wasn't for me. I had a really hard time getting into it. The mom group drama is definitely something I'm sure many moms can relate to, at least in the sense that they've witnessed some mom group drama. However, it was so trivial in this book it was kind of frustrating, the first 20% or so revolved around insinuating that something happened and then we spend another 40-50% reading fluff that could've been edited out.
I usually enjoy multi POVs, but the POVs switched as soon as the story started picking up that I found myself losing interest in the story.

This was a bit different from my usual read and it was okay. It focuses on three women in dysfunctional relationships. I never really got the point of the story so it was not for me but others may enjoy it.

All three women are trying to “hide their dirty laundry.” Bose explores many contemporary themes during this opus of love, friendship, infidelity and deceit …. and the strange dynamics of female friendship. Many secrets and accusations will follow the murder.

I know I am in the minority of this one, as I see it has been chosen as the GMA book club pick for April. I didn't like how this started out as if we already knew the characters; I felt like I was trying to keep up with information I had never learned throughout the book. I typically like clique-y mom dramas, but I found that I didn't care about any of the women, nor did I care why or how one of them is dead.

We are introduced to the "Perfect Mother, Wife, Business Influencer". But is everything as it seems...or is it all filtered threw an app that should work in real life. Instead, we have a woman who has enemies and when she ends up dead, everything becomes exposed.

Dirty Laundry, by Disha Bose, started out strong for me. I was immediately pulled in at the beginning and interested to 'meet' and get to know the characters.

Unfortunately, by about three quarters in it just felt tiresome. NO ONE is likable. I was pretty much over all of them and didn't really care 'whodunnit' by the end.

I'm sure the entirety of this book will appeal to some but I missed having someone, anyone, to root for!
